Product Description

Product Description

This unforgettable account of a World War II fighter pilot come back from the dead will leave no doubt to the possibility and truth of reincarnation. When James Leininger was just two, he began to suffer horrific nightmares. His desperate parents were at a loss to help him until he said just three things: Corsair; Natoma; and a name, Jack Larsen. From these tantalising glimpses into a life that ended sixty years ago, James' parents travelled thousands of miles and spent many long years piecing together these facts to try and find an answer that could end his torment. Finally, despite his mother's fears and his father's staunch Christian beliefs, they found only one solution to the endless coincidences that surrounded every detail in James' life - the crew and mission of the USS Natoma Bay, and the last flight of a World War II fighter pilot.

About the Author

Andrea and Bruce Leininger were a dancer and corporate executive respectively before the birth of their son James. Since then they have researched meticulously into evidence of their son's past life, and continue to raise their son in Lafayette.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beyond Belief, 27 Jul 2009
By Pip Threlfall (Hampshire, England) - See all my reviews
Usually when someone says they "have an open mind" what they are really saying is "my mind is already made up and whatever I read on the subject will make no difference".

I came to this book with an enquiring mind and found it most believable, and read it from cover to cover in almost one sitting.

Reincarnation makes sense of so many otherwise inexplicable phenomena, that from my point of view one would have to have a vested interest in not believing in it to reject it.

As a practicing Christian, and believing that the Bible is "the word of God" I find nothing in scripture that refutes past lives.

I would strongly recommend this book to anyone who has ever wondered about the meaning of life.

4.0 out of 5 stars Gripping but too full of the parents egos, 12 Sep 2009
By E. Niblock - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Its a shame that this gripping book and James story is let down and overshadowed by the sheer size of the parents egos ... For example introducing themselves at the start of the book they write "In the grand scheme of their lives the deal was a fair one. He got the gorgeous dancer and she got the big, hansome corporate executive - plus a child." How modest.

If you skip the first few chapters you wouldnt miss anything important - its not until the parents have wasted several chapters puffing their chests over their family and working lives that the story really gets going, and thankfully once it does the details and drama surrounding James' extrodinary tale becomes gripping.

definately worth a read if you want to open your mind to the possibility of reincarnation - its very convincing and heartwarming.

3.0 out of 5 stars Strayed off the main story., 6 Sep 2009
By Eileen J. Grassby - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)

Not sure what to make of the book. But do beleive these things happen. I would have like to have heard more about the child James
and his experiences and what he thinks now. Felt the story strayed somewhat at times. Would recommend to other readers.

I have had a similar experence
with my own son, who at three months old screamed all night, nothing would pacify him, he abruptly stopped at around six am. An hour later
mother in law rang to say my husbands grannie had died, at about six ish, spooky at the time. When he was two years old the same performance, up all night screamimg. We stood outside the bed room door listening to him, who or what he was talking to frightened us. When we went in, he told us in his baby talk, about a little old lady sitting on his bed and gave us a description which fitted the gg mother he had never met. An hour or so later again mother in law rang, we knew what she was going to say before she uttered a word, (my husbands grandfather had passed away) It was April same date same time. We were so upset by it we spoke to the local rector.
