"whats that weigh in, like 2500lbs? haha god damn"
LOL, the M109R is a heavyweight. It weighs about 700lbs dry. But I'll tell you, I'm having more fun on this bike than any of the sport/sporty bikes I've owned. Here's my mini review:
Stock it makes around 106-112 HP/ 100+ TQ at the rear wheel and it can move. With a few simple mods it makes 120+ HP at the wheel. For a power cruiser that is pretty sweet. In terms of roll-on acceleration it feels like it accelerates harder/faster than my Z1000 did from 40 - 80mph and stoplight to stoplight it is a blast. No downshifting necessary to pass. No, overall it's not faster than my Z1000 was or any modern sportbike for that matter. It doesn't have the top end 100+ mph pull of a sportbike. It does however top out over 140mph (actual) with the RPM limiter removed and the feeling you get when you roll-on is absolutely addicting. Stock it does the 1/4 mile in 11.8-12.0 sec and the only other cruisers than can hang with it are the V-rod and Rocket III. The V-Max(s) are obviously faster but can't touch the 9 in the looks department. I don't even know if the V-Max could be categorized as a cruiser. They are more of a muscle naked standard IMO.
Even with the phat 240 tire on the back the M109 handles pretty well. It has a really low center of gravity so at speed you really don't notice its weight. It changes direction quickly for such a heavy long wheelbased bike. Really it's only limited by it's lack of cornering clearance. I scrape pegs constantly.
Believe me I never thought I would switch from a sportbike over to a cruiser type bike. But the 9 is a different animal. After my test ride I was hooked. And unlike on a sportbike, I don't feel obligated to try to ride fast all the time. I'm not regretting trading my Z1000 in on my new 109 one bit. Don't knock this type of bike if you haven't tried it.

Those bikes rock! This is one of the top 3 cruisers on my list if I were to buy one.

kinda cool. I hate the 109's headlight. I would like to see one with a diffrent headlight.

For 2008 Suzuki makes the M109R2, which is identical to the original except it has a more traditional headlight instead of the nacelle. Personally I like the looks of the original more. The nacelle adds to the bikes personality and makes it stand out. I get complements everyday I ride (from riders and non-riders alike) on my M109 and it never gets old.

cool I will check that out. I just sold my 07 spirit 750. I liked the looks but the power was so lacking. I really couldnt stand riding it after getting off the track with the R6. so the spirit left and the R6 got street clothes

Look for a Motorcycle Lifestyle magazine with the McCoy blacked out M109. Its a south carolina motorcycle magazine that is awesome. The M1o9 in there makes this one look like just another bike.
