Never read the manga, but the anime was awesome. Now, I'm a bit curious reading the manga, right now.
What a great loss, ;_;.

what a tragedy!
i really like the manga (more than the anime)

i rechecked the sources that wikipedia have listed
and it seems to me that this is the case

a sad day it is
we will never see the continuation of crayon shinchan
that will be written by the author himself anymore

rest in peace, mr. usui
your legacy is massive to the manga community!

I feel so horrible for him. Never expect that to happen since he is still kind of young (around 50s). All he wanted was hiking...sob...

He is a legend in manga world. We'll miss him forever....

Just read the news about Yoshito going missing during a hiking trip and his whereabouts was discovered eight days later. He is believed to have fallen off a high cliff while hiking. He body was found with severe injuries including multiple bone fractures. He has passed on at the young age of 51.

I have been reading and watching Shin-chan for as long as I can remember and his death is a great loss to many fans around the world. His works shall go down as one of the greatest manga works of the century right next to Osamu Tezuka. His legacy shall live on!!

It was so sad to find out about this myself, and I just barely got to scanlate the manga

R.I.P. Yoshito, you've made us all laugh at your quirky comedy style and cry at your touching moments in KSC, no writer/mangaka would ever be able to replace you.

RIP, Usui Yoshito. without ur manga, the anime wouldn't been one of my past favorite or ever existed.
I'm gonna miss Shin, his family and frends plus his while dog that always follows him all around
