"Crayon Shin-chan" creator Usui Yoshito (51) fell from the Tomoiwa cliff of Arafune mountain in the Gunma prefecture and was found dead on Saturday. Actress Aragaki Yui, who currently plays the heroine in "Ballad: Namonaki Koi no Uta", a movie based on an award-winning Crayon Shin-chan animated movie from 2002, now made a comment about his death and expressed her grief. "I didn’t want to believe it when I heard it on the news." Here’s the whole comment:
I didn’t want to believe it when I heard it on the news.
After he went missing, I always prayed for him to come back safely.
Just a while ago he helped us working on the movie based on his work and now that the movie is open to the public, this happened. No matter how much you mourn about his death, it’s still not enough for such a great loss.
With "Crayon Shin-chan", he created a familiar and sweet hero who often made us laugh and moves us emotionally. It’s truly a wonderful thing that he gave us.
From the bottom of my heart, I’m praying for him to receive a lot of happiness in the next world.
