After shocking news of Yoshito Usui’s death, who was the creator of Crayon Shin Chan, here’s a brief history as well as afterward news…
Yoshito Usui was born in Apr 21, 1958 from Shizuoka prefecture in Japan. As a manga artist, he made his debut in 1987, with his debut work recognized as one of new artist’s fine works. He’s of course, very well known from his work, Crayon Shin Chan.
Crayon Shin Chan’s debut was in 1990. The manga was made into animation in 1992. Starting 1993, there were 17 animation movies total. 49 Manga books so far, with 65 million copies sold. With its unique and distinguished way of humor, Crayon Shin Chan has been loved by many, not only adolescents, but also female adults, etc. With almost 20 years since debut, Crayon Shin Chan was and still is one of the top mangas and animes throughout the world with many more years and many more stories.
For the rest of his work, his original work is submitted to the office which could cover up to December. After that, it is still unknown as people from the office were hoping not to get this shocking result. The upcoming animation is also in a vague situation from the sudden death of the creator.
Many Crayon Shin Chan fans were hoping to see Shin chan growing up or at least see the proper ending, but unfortunately, we cannot see both happening, at least not from the originator.
