Yoshito Usui is a fifty one year old mangaka who create the pretty well known manga Crayon Shin-chan. He was hiking in Gunma Prefecture on September 11th and nobody has been in contact with him since. There's an ongoing search for him, but Crayon Shin-chan is still considered an ongoing manga.
Not exactly a good way to end a well loved (but ugly) series.

They found his body. Serialization of the last two manga chapeters will end in the December issue (out in November) and the anime there has yet to be an announcement with the anime.
It's believe that he fell off a cliff, since his body was found nearby one and he regularly mountain climbs. He was not near any sort of bike or walking trail.
No news for a while turned out to be bad news.

Even if today is painful
Someday it will become a warm memory
