Body Found Likely to be Crayon Shin-chan Author

Gunma prefectural police say that the body discovered by a climber on Mount Arafune (elevation of 1422.5 metres), Saturday morning may be that of Yoshito Usui, author of "Crayon Shin-chan". Mount Arafune borders the prefectures of Gunma and Nagano. Full confirmation will be determined on Sunday.

As previously reported, on the 11th of September, Usui-san told loved ones that he was going climbing and return the same day. The following day, after he didn't come home and his family could not get in contact with him, his wife requested the help of police in Kasukabe, Saitama to help look for him. The search extended through neighbouring prefectures Gunma and Nagano. A Nagano police helicopter as well as police dogs were used to search Mount Arafune and surrounding areas along the borders of the two prefectures.

Usui-san lives in Kasukabe, Saitama where Crayon Shin-chan is based.

Because this is not a 100% confirmation, we'll be sure to keep you all posted as soon as we find out more information.

oh my god!!! i hope's Usui's fine and the body found is not his. ;_;
btw, is Crayon Shin-chan still on going in Japan?

Oh no. I don't even know the manga, but this news is really sad. I hope his family can get through this ordeal ok.

Oh man I love Crayon Shin-chan I watched it a lot when I was younger it's going to be really sad if it's author turns to be the corpse.

Yes, Shin Chan is still ongoing, as well as the manga and the anime.

I don't know where the manga is, but the anime is around episoed 680.
I, myself are currently at episode 655

Shin shan currently airs in Portugal, well it used to air last time i checked. I have a lot of memories from my childhood, and i still laugh when i see Shin's butt dance. hehe.

I hope the author is okay, i really hope so...

This is a sad day.
I'm still praying he's safe but if it turns out to be really him, the world just lost a great man who contributed to make it a funnier, weirder and better place.
