Not sure if any of you would care or keep up with this, but he went missing around Sept. 11th and they just now have found what they think could be his remains. Article here. He was a very talented individual and if this is so (seems pretty likely), he'll be greatly missed

I loved his work back in the day... I even wrote to the local TV asking for Shin-chan not to be banned.

They confirmed it, it was his body. He's really gone...hopefully he wasn't in too much pain before he went.
