even in normal life.. u have to do something (good/bad) to catch one's attention.. which will lead to one remember who you are.. because u did something..

if one were to do nothing.. i dun think he/she will ever be remembered..

It depends on the person and what they did.
Like when Michael Jackson Died, of course people like family will remember him as a person rather than what he did, but when it comes to the general public, most people remembered him by his music. It's the same when it comes to many other people famous or not, most people remember others who died by what they did, becasue what a person does leaves more of an impact on another rather than the personality of who the person which died.
If it's some average person who was loved by everyone because of who they are, then it would be otherwise, but when it comes to famous people, most people remember them by what they did.
