Wait he's dead?

fuck

I loved his shows when I was a kid and now it kind of makes me sad that the person who drew my childhood cartoon is now dead.

RIP

Hiking was one of his favorite past times.

According to the most recent news in Japan they're calling it a suicide, because all evidence points to it.

We was in a severe depression. The most recent comics he did were getting really dark.

Seriously? Last I read, they hadn't been considering suicide. I hadn't heard about the depression..

Either way, geez, this is awful. I never really watched/read much of Shin-chan, but I really enjoyed what I did see of it. Scanning through the "Usui-sensei memorial service" tag on pixiv inexplicably breaks my heart. (I think the fact it had over 9 pages of art within a day and a half is sort of a touching testament to his legacy.)
