Well, he, Usui Yoshito, went missing on September 11th.
Then today, they found a body that has clothes that resembles Usui's on Arafune mountain, where Usui headed for. But, they haven't identify the body yet, so it could be him, but it could also not be him.

If he is dead, then that probably means that the manga will end where he left off. There has been 2 deaths already for mangakas this year, and in both cases, the mangas were ended where the mangaka stopped writing.
Edit (1 day after): It's official. The body belongs to Usui Yoshito, sadly. May the man rest in peace.
(Man, 3 mangaka deaths in one year. So tragic.)

- Yeah, I heard about that at animenewsnetwork.com today. If it really IS him, that's a shame! :(
I kinda like the anime series Shin Chan; it's hilarious! I need to see more of it though. - Sadly, Usui's dental records and relatives confirmed that the body is Yoshito Usui's. He fell to his death at Mt. Arafune.
