West Brom 2-0 Ipswich Town

In-form West Brom scored twice in the first half to leave Roy Keane's Ipswich without a win in four games.

Youssouf Mulumbu put the Baggies ahead after 10 minutes, crashing the ball home after Joe Mattock's header was cleared off the line.

Rob Koren made it 2-0 with a deft finish after a one-two with Chris Wood.

It could have been worse for Ipswich but Richard Wright was in superb form and stopped Luke Moore's penalty after Tommy Smith fouled Shaun Cummings.

West Brom manager Roberto Di Matteo: "There are still 42 games go and this is a long, long season.

"But I was really pleased with how we played against Ipswich. It was three points, a clean sheet, a great performance and a good afternoon.

"I thought we were very convincing all game but Ipswich have a certain Richard Wright in goal and he had a good afternoon as well."

Ipswich manager Roy Keane:

"It is sink or swim for the players. We need to do better and I don't want to keep saying it.

"We don't look much of a goal threat and we are giving bad goals away. That is a recipe for trouble so it is going to be very, very hard.

"But it can be done. We have to believe we can turn it around and get up to speed - sooner rather than later."
