Bleach Hair Keeps Professional Hair Colorists Busy
Look around the Internet on any hair forum or discussion forum like mine and you’ll see heartbreaking story after story of bleach hair disastors. Just don’t go there. Leave this one to the hair coloring professionals. I know, I know, you can’t afford it, right. Funny thing is that when it goes bad you’ll find the $200 to fix it.
Trust me when I get together with my hair dresser friends I hear the bleach hair stories. I over heard a hair colorist say once that if the ever banned bleach hair that she would have to get a part time job.

Bleach hair can be very damaging if not done carefully, so I recommend that you avoid trying these bleach hair techniques at home. Leave bleaching hair to the professionals.

help! i had my hair coloured at the hairdressers they bleached it twice and now its bright yello!!!my natural colour is a dark brown is t safe to have it dyed brown????i need help!!!i cant go to school cause everybody just lafs at me!!!!

My hair was always platinum blonde and I loved it that way. I recently dyed it light brown and put my own blonde and tahitan blonde highlights in. I LOVE IT! All I want to say is don’t be scared to try something different. Be wild! You never know what you’ll like better until you try it.

ahhh i tried dying a slab of my hair blonde with bleach but its gone yellowy orange, can i dye over it without it going green im naturally dark brown and i was wondering which colour would hide it best because i look so stupid! help me pleaseeee!

Im not quite sure what my natural hair colour is, it used to be blonde but it went darker, but its not quite brown so i’d say it was a dark kind of mousy blonde … anyway i used to have it dyed blonde at a hair salon, but then i wanted a new look so i went brunette, also at a hair salon which i liked, it had caramel highlights too. Then i wanted another new look and dyed it with home dye from a box, terracota, but this looked sort of ginger which didn’t suit me and i didn’t like it so i dyed it with another home dye, a very dark brown. this then washed out a bit and i kept re-dying it brown for a while with home dyes, and each time it kept washing out and going orangey or patchy. can i just ask what the best colour to dye it next is, as i can’t carry on being seen with this awful colour!! i dont suit it too dark, so i preferably want it blonde, but im worried that it might go ginger again or something, my hair’s in quite good condition, despite the amount i dye it, im just not sure what to do next! i hope you can give me some advice.

Hi,
I dye my hair alot, now it’s a medium golden brown,but my roots are light blonde because I put light blonde dye on it twice. I was curious possibly what color may it become if I bleached it myself? I’m thinking a light strawberry blonde,because I’ve bleached before many times, but my hair color was a dark golden brown then.

I am doing red and blonde alternate through the hair. I really want to know is there any technique in rinsing to avoid the red making the blone pinky?

I have to share this with everyone. Never bleach your hair at home unless you have professional experience. Unless you’re going a shade or 2 lighter. Bleach tends to turn your hair orange and it causes a lot of damages that will eventually make your hair break, especially if your hair is already colored. If your hair is natural however, wait a couple of months before you bleach it again. Don’t be tempted to bleach it the next day.
Also, if you aren’t a natural blonde think about your expenses. You’ll spend a lot of money re-touching and treating it. Blonde hair also shows a lot of breakage. But it is a flattering hair color to stick with. Trust me though, it’s better to let a stylist handle with bleaching.

If you want to be blonde get and do it yourself get Beyond Zone Radical Bleach Kit. If you have dark brown hair to black hair you’re going to have to leave it on your hair min 60 minutes to 90 minutes. Never bleach your hair all at once. Leave the roots for last. Otherwise you’ll end up with white roots and yellow/orange hair. Now I have black low lights. I bleached them first. It sat on there for 20 minutes and then I did the rest of my hair and that sat for 40 minutes and then I did all my roots and that sat for another 20 minutes. All together I had bleach on my hair for 80 minutes. This stripped away most of the dark. I then dyed it a light brown color. Either way if you have dark hair it will have to be a two-step process. Going from dark to light is not easy. It’s best to go to a salon.

To Nickki with red and blonde,
I am assuming you have had the red bleed into the blonde before and make it “pinky.”
Using that assumption, next time, do the red highlights first, rinse and dry and in a second process put in the blonde highlights.

I have very thin, fine hair. It is presently fairly long with long layers in it. It is light brown naturally and is presently dyed light auburn with blonde highlights in it. The highlights were done in the salon. I want to bleach it all blonde with the garnier 100%color product # D01bleach. I have about 2 inches of my natural hair growing back in. Do you think this product will completely fry my hair and leave it looking a total mess or should I go ahead and give it a try? How should I go about it? Should I do the roots first or leave them to the end? Or should I just leave it alone and go to a salon? I already have the box of dye sitting here and am so tempted to go ahead, but am too chicken…lol.

Hey, i have naturaly mousey brown colored hair an lost that color years ago
But recently wanted to try getting it back, i had black hair
I’d tried everything
highlighting kits, sun ins normal dyes
in end i decided to go for bleach dispite everything i’d heard
First i bleached my hair, making my roots come out very light blonde nearly white then going into orange to a ginger color
An straight away after washing i went on it with a medium brown hair dye
An perfect! I love it
I havn’t had to dye it since
Not everyones bleaching experiences are bad
If you havn’t bleached your hair then go for it!
Just don’t bleach it more than once!

If want to go blonde and have dark hair GO TO A HAIR DRESSES. I’ve never herd of lightering hair without bleach and I would strongly dissagree with trying that at home.
Lightening hair has 3 steps it’s not just bleach. Do some homework too theres the aftercare to think about and taking special care of bleached hair.
LOOK IT UP AND ASK YOUR HAIRDRESSER IF THEY KNOW THAT AS A FACT!

OK SO I HAD BLACK HAIR AND NOW I WANT MY HAIR TO GO BLONDE, I WENT TO A SALON AND THEY TURNED MY HAIR INTO AN ORANGE FRYED MESS, BUT I KNOW ITS MY FAULT, I LEFT WITH A SMILE ON MY FACE AND A FEW DAYS LATER I DYED MY HAIR A LIGHT BROWN, MY QUESTION IS: CAN I GO AHEAD AND BLEACH IT AGAIN? AND WILL IT WORK? OR SHOULD I WAIT?

I died my hair about 3 months ago, it was supposed to be blonde but it turned out to be a orangy copper. My natural colour is a mousey colour (very light brown) I am going to have a blonde highlighting kit put on it on monday but i am worried it might turn more orange or ginger or really really blonde/white because its already quite light. Also if it did turn out ok would the gingery colour come through after a certain amount of washes? even though it perminate it still fades??

My hair was a medium brown with these DYED blonde roots. It was a mistake, so I bleached it to try to make it all one color.
So…
Yesterday I bleached my hair using Super Blonde Maxi, and my roots are this baby white and my ends are like orange/yellow.
I waited like 30 minutes before I put the bleach on my roots, but still they became this white!
I bought a medium blonde dye because I wanted to dye it afterwards.
But my question was When I dye my hair out of the box, will I have to do my roots last as well?
Or just do the roots first?
I have dyed my hair for a while, but I have never had lighter roots, so I dont know what to do!!
I dont have the money to go to a stylist, so if there is someone who knows what they are talking about who can tell me what to do, I WOULD SO APPRECIATE IT!

Don’t start dying your hair.!!! You will come out two-toned, just as you are now but it’s uncertain what colors you will get and it will make matters much worse.
You should not have rebleached your roots at all, but rather tried to get the ends lifted to the same color as they were.
Call the color manufacturers 800# and see what they come up with for you to do.

Hi, Look I have been dying my hair all sorts of colours over the years red, brown, purple, green, blue, black and I decided I wanted to go blonde. I bleached my hair and it was nice but had some orange in it so I put a blonde hair dye on it It fried my hair and I had to have it all cut off. I dyed it black and let it grow. Now I’ve gone to my hairdressers and got some highlights and she has bleached it a little and put a reddish toner on it. It is a light brown/copper colour with bright blonde roots. I am desperate to put a blonde dye on it but I am being a good girl and waiting till the hairdresser says yes because I do not want to take the risk before learn from bleaching your hair its dangerous and so not worth it! Ladies you have to go through the oranges to get to blonde! It takes time!
