After spending a week in Oregon, Taylor came home with us for another week. She flew home today and we will miss her. One of her highlights of the week was when I bleached out her roots and colored her hair blue and pink.
This is her hair BEFORE. It took a considerable amount of time on my part (and pain on her part) to get the dreads out. I don't think she had brushed her hair since THIS conversation.
And this is her AFTER photo. She is excited to start her sophomore year with brightness. And yes, I can be hired if anyone wants a new style...

Wow! I actually like that! But you know what I like most? You can see her heart in her smile. And yes, I'd like to make a hair appt. I already told Lee (my hubbie) that when I'm old I wanna be one of those grannies with purple hair. But I'm thinking this is much cooler!
Impressive. That must have taken a long time. I could NEVER pull that look off. She looks great though
Very cool. I dig the color AND the lack of dreads.
Hey, the new 'do' looks gorgeous, the colors are spectacular!
She came off the plane looking like a rock star but better yet,
it was pure TJ, the same super
granddaughter I had a blast with
when we went to see the Rollergirls a few weeks ago.
Outstanding job Diane!
I love the hair - and I love that she is such an individual. When I was that age my biggest concern was trying to look like everyone else. I applaud Taylor - I wish I had her self confidence (then and now)!
TJD is my rock star. I did not like the rasta mess on the back of her head. Heartfelt thanks to D for taking charge of this situation and making it work.
PS. She gets her good looks from her father
I like it!!! Very nice way to start out the new school year fresh!!!!
How did you get all the variations of color in her hair? This seems very complicated. I'm impressed you did this on your own Diane....
is that you, kellianne? or my sister, leah?
it wasn't hard. i bleached out her dark roots. then i put the pink on her back and front, then the blue on the rest. the roots didn't take the blue well, but she was happy with it. the purple streaks are from where the pink and blue dye overlapped. it was a fun bonding time with taylor. she's definately her own person who has her own sense of style with a very sweet and kind heart. she's a great girl. :)
It is I, your sister...I showed Janessa tonight...she says, "It's awesome and now I can finally tell my friends that she has purple in her hair too..." because I guess she's told her friends before about Taylor's "rainbow hair"...
It's a little too adventurous for me...but I like it! She wears it well...
