Creative Poodle Grooming
Categories: Dogs, Grooming, Pet Style
There are folks who put bandanas on their dogs, and folks who dress their dogs up for Halloween. Some folks put sweaters on their dogs in the winter. Some folks enter their dogs in dog shows. Depending on your outlook, these things might be cute, or they might stretch the boundaries of good taste. And then there's "creative poodle grooming," which surely stretches the boundaries of good taste, snaps those boundaries mercilessly, and then charges far, far beyond those boundaries.

Poor dog--too creepy...does it get a chance to dress up its owner as a panda or some type of non-human animal?

it doesn't know. it's just dyed. big deal..
DirtyLogic 8-26-2009 @ 5:17PM
@Amanda
It doesn't know? Seriously are you that stupid? Would you also not know if you were just dyed? Give me a break. I know you think you're far superior to animals in intellect, but you've really just proven you aren't.

Wow, um yeah, too bad dogs have half the IQ of humans, to them it's just like getting bath...not pulling teeth.

Coming from a dog groomer of 14yrs of experience...First of all, it's not a toxic dye being used. It's special coloring and colored powders. No harm to the animal whatsoever. Second of all, most of the time when groomers enter these dogs in to Creative Styling competitions, the money they win they donate to Animal Shelters across the country. So before you start passing judgment on people for doing this you should get the facts. Like hairdressers, groomers enjoy being able to share their talent and creativity with the world - and for good causes.

How would you like it if we all took you somewhere and painted you up to look like an complete idiot! Everyone who does this to their animal needs serious help!!!!!!!

@ dirty logic...
ok so i just looked at all ur comments and u seem to just put every one down it makes u look stupid and therefore u r stupid, and have no commonsense. most dogs r color blind and poodles r one of these dogs so they see black and white... just incase u dont know what that means. u need to get ur fat ass off ur comp and get a life
btw.. i think its an awesome idea to make ur dog into any kind of creation u want especially poodles have u ever seen a dog show.
so in conclusion u dont have a clue what ur talkin about ur as dumb as the poodle that dosent have a clue either..

How is it humiliating to the dog? Dog's aren't stupid, but they don't get "embarrassed" about how they look. The dog would pretty much just be spending time with his loving owner taking a bath and grooming, they'd be happy. Your dog is getting dyed, not you. The dog likes it, you probably wouldn't. Dog, you, dog, you. See it's different.

This idea is absutley SICK, what ever happened to the nature look? you know... For a poodle! I strongly don't aprove of this since no ones letting the dog speak for themselves.

I think it swrong to do that to the poor dogs and the owners shouldnt have to dress them up thier cute the way they are by themselves, in this thier ugly and being abused!
LS 8-26-2009 @ 6:55PM
I think it is f***ing awesome that people are that creative and are able to do that to there pets...for gods sake it only for a few hours...people..how cares...its cool!
eeyorelvr1125 8-26-2009 @ 7:05PM
That is just mean.
kmom 8-26-2009 @ 4:23PM

How long did these poor pets have to endure this make-up application? I think it is really cruel
Judi 8-26-2009 @ 4:24PM
I would NEVER subject my dog to the poisons in coloring. I consider this abuse, the same as putting makeup and hairspray on a 6 year old child to parade around.

I think that if you were to use your imagination then you might realize that they could use food coloring which has no posions or toxins.... as far as parading around your 6year olds, well my neice is in dance class and they even where makup so really what is your problem are you just an ugly duckling that never got to swan lake? get over it the world has become a beautiful and creative place without you
Lisa 8-26-2009 @ 4:39PM
You can't generalize all coloring as poisonous... kool-aid is poison now? I've seen tons of people dye their dogs with kool-aid. Big deal. I've never heard of a dog dieing from people dying their fur before. The dog doesn't know the difference.
I personally would only ever use kool-aid. I don't think what we humans use on our hair is safe for the dogs. I dyed my malamutes white fur (she's black and white) with red kool-aid to be a little zombie dog. She loved it and never knew the difference. And damn did she smell good when we got home, lol.

You are kidding, right? I have a dog, and I have a six year old, and I love them both, but I can tell you -- they are nothing alike -- and I don't love my dog the same way or nearly as much as I love my child. A dog is a domesticated animal - you can like it or not, but we use them every day. We use them as pets. We don't love our dogs like we Love our children, not even close, and the only people who think that is the case are the ones who have never had children. People who compare dogs to people are just off the edge. I'm not saying that animals don't need our protection, they do. But please, can you grow up just a little --.please.

Oh please, it's so gosh darn cute and very FUNNY!
