Charitonia, although I understand the overpopulation fear theories, some, not all, of problems brought about by this are solvable with enough money. I'll address one, deserts can be irrigated using sea water if desalination plants and water pipelines are built. This would serve to relieve starvation through the creation of new lands to farm. and graze Cheap, certainly not, but neither is medicare, medicaid or the many other social programs paid into by the young workers, not the retirees. I am not anti-aged no more then I am anti-multiple birth mothers. I am a realist to the problems of economics. The US needs more paying into the systems then taking from them. Encouraging citizens to multiply seeing they are educated means that they should be contributing members of our societies. The alternative is we take more from less and that serves to ensure no one does better in life then their parents did. This I am against.

Back to science class for all of you. Not ALL multiple births are about test tubes or fertility treatments. Multiple births tend to run in families and believe it or not, it CAN happen naturally. I have several multiple births in my family, none of which occured artificially. These children look happy and healthy and seem well behaved and well manered, something this blog is lacking. I wish the parents all the happiness in the world and all the best for their offspring.

Noonewalksalone - words of an idiot. First off I would be worried if only those dumb enough to breed to no end were the only ones reproducing. That just means the problem gets worse with every generation. And no it's not just about a missed meal or lost job. It's about billions of people that are already starving. It's about ecosystems that can no longer function - water to polluted not being filtered, water not being recycled which means growing deserts and more crop failures. It's about potentially losing half of the planet's species in this century. Heaven forbid we ever get off this earth to infest and destroy yet another world. If you don't understand this then you really are a lost cause not to mention selfish bastard.
