I live in Phoenix and was stung by a scorpion a couple of weeks ago. My leg was numb for a couple of days so it can be serious. However they are native to this region so you have to careful of them and the fire ants, who have attacked me on three different occasions in the last three years I have lived here. Comes with the territory

IF WE GET RID OF ALL THE ILLEGALS MEXICAN'S, MUSLIM'S, ETC,. THEN US HARD WORKING TAX PAYING TRUE AMERICAN'S WILL HAVE JOB'S TO SUPORT OUR FAMILIE'S AND WE WOULDNT HAVE SUCH A BIG WELFARE MONEY PROBLEM AND TRUE AMERICAN'S THAT HAVE FALLEN ON HARD TIME'S WOULD BE ABLE TO GET HELP ! BUT NO ALL THE ILLEGAL'S HAVE OUR TAX DOLLAR'S GOING IN TO THIER POCKET'S WHILE A TRUE AMERICAN ARE STARVING WHILE WAITING TO GET HELP, BUT GET PASSED OVER SO AN ILLEGAL CAN HAVE THIER JOB'S AND FOOD STAMP'S, AND HELP TO PAY THIER RENT ! YOU KNOW THE REAL REASON THE WELFARE SYSTEM WAS STARTED FOR IN THE FIRST PLACE ! WE HAVE HAD 4 PRESIDENTS IN THE PAST THAT DID DEPORT ALL THE ILLEGAL MEXICAN'S SO OUR SOLDER'S COMMING HOME FROM WAR WOULD HAVE JOB'S AND COULD SUPORT THIER FAMILIE'S ! THIS IS FACT SO LOOK IT UP ! AS FOR THE SCORPION IN THE MEAL HE SHOULD THINK OF IT AS EXTRA PROTEEN !

Well, if he was in FL, big odds you could get a nice fat Palmetto bug (thats a flying roach for you northern folks) Just no way to avoid them being around. Glad to hear this guy didn't get stung.

Some MCD;s have bags pre opened ready for speedier customer service. Considering the area is is "possible" that it fell into the bag. Still I'd look at the crew assigned that day and who was handling his food. A highschool teacher, a student who didn't get a passing grade? 3rd, the teacher. Hopefully it is a crazy act of nature. Time to call in pest control.

This article is just more AP trash written by someone trying to justify their job.Scorpions are indigenous to the southwest US.They are everywhere and can get into almost any place. The fact that it ocurred at a McDonold's is inconsequential. That the guy is a teacher has nothing to do with the event and was only included for sensationalism.I dearly wish that the AP people would find some real news stories and report them correctly and completely.
