(Aug. 22) - Julie Corp felt the happiest she ever had during her wedding last Saturday. That is, until the newlywed arrived home with her husband to find their Renton, Wash., home completely ransacked.
The cupboards stood bare. The closets were empty. The toilet paper in the bathroom was even gone, reported KOMO News.

"I just couldn't believe that something like that would happen on your wedding night," Julie told KOMO. "That was hard ... that was hard."
The couple's finances made the theft even worse.
Julie lost her job as a waitress three months ago. Her husband is a mechanic.
The newlyweds are raising five kids from previous relationships and struggle to make ends meet. Family members paid for the small wedding ceremony. And now, almost everything has been taken from their home.
"They took a whole piggy bank of our money and all our blankets, all the clothes in our closet," one of their sons, Gabe, told KOMO. "We looked in the closet. Nothing was there."
Even an urn with the ashes of Corp's grandmother was stolen.
The bride had planned to release the ashes during the couple's planned honeymoon to the Virgin Islands. The couple were forced to cancel the trip.
"It was my honeymoon, and she couldn't be there for the wedding," Julie said of her grandma. "Just little things like that -- things you can't get back no matter what."

Well, it is easy with internet to find an address.. they probably put their phone as an RSVP on the invitations...if it is a landline, put that number in google and you have an address. What gets me is that they took everything.. a thief doesn't want clothes or ashes, they wanted the pawnable things. They come in and five minutes later they are gone. I am thinking that an angry ex did this. They were both married before and had relationships.

Jrepairguy 01:12 PMAug 23 2009 Judge NOT, people, lest you, too, be judged. What a sickening sign of the times when there is no more compassion, just hatred built on top of more hatred and then redirected at one another in a vicious circle. Wake up, America.............most people in this country severely lack a sense of social justice anymore and care about nobody but themselves...........truly sickening.===========Sounds like you could use a little of your own advice hypocrite, you tell everyone to "judge not" then go on to judge everyone you are preaching to.

AOL's headline said it was a "Grim discovery" Christ, I thought they must have found their dog or cat had been slaughtered or something of that nature. Bate and switch at it's best I guess. I find this story hard to believe though. Do they expect us to actually believe that no one, nowhere saw an entire home full of furnishing being moved out.??? Something's fishy in WA.

To all of the folks claiming this is a staged hoax, I have one old saying to impart to you..."You see the world as you are yourself". This is what you would do so naturally you think they did it and the real anger you feel isn't that they did a bad thing (which they most certainly didn't do) You are pissed that you didn't do this yourself. cretins.

this happens a lot, even to grieveig people who are attending the funeral of a family member. never underestimate the sleaziness of people and how low they will go. weddings are usually known about in advance, and deaths usually have a notice in the obit section of the newspaper. during any occasion like this it is always best to have someone house sit, even though its just for a few hours. i agree with most of the posts here though, this sounds like a bitter ex, or someone with a grudge. hope the dirtbag gets caught. taking grandmas ashes is over the top and totally sounds like pay back to me. haters.

Ok, think about this. Why would someone take the photos of the children? Where are the other parents of these kids. Divorced dad and the mom? Children are from previous relationships. Someone get a really big bug up their hiney and do this to upset them. The "bride" was talking where was her groom? Oh and what is wrong with all of you racist peeps. If you look up the "N" word you'll see that it means "ignorant, stupid" not black or African American. Any race can be stupid or ignorant and sometimes I wonder where the humanity is and if there is that much left in our country. "PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN?" I wonder!
