We need to use TTS for generating dynamic voice (for example Status
of an order, Account balance etc)
Can you please guide me, where to get a Text To Speech Voice for
Indian English accent?
Answer :
For IVR II 3.0.0, as far as the TAPI is Microsoft SAPI 5.1

Question #22 :
Some customers want IVR system to be linked with existing PABX
system.
How should I make it possible? Should all the telephone cables (from
telephone lines)
go into Voice Boards?
Then where to connect with PABX?
Answer :
For PABX interface, you connect the voice card to "Telephone
Extension" and the IVR II answers
calls just like "people" pick up the phone.
Use the transfer component (with proper property setting) to do the
transfer, based on your PABX's rule.
(e.g. flash at certain duration, pre-fix with XX, etc.) You need to
consult the PABX manual, it varies.
Keep in mind, that the IVR channel is "mimic" human in calling.

Question #23 :
I have a CallURL Talk Voice board with IVR II, in the channel
settings of Runtime Engine,
I found Voice Encoding Format list, where I am getting all options
with 8 khz. Is it due
to this hardware only supports 8khz, 8-bit format?
Answer :
Normally, 8K x 8 is good enough for ordinary usage. As telephone
line is only 8K x 8 PCM.(Make sure
you record the file in 8K x 8 PCM format, not 16 x 8K: For TTS,
select the 8K x 8 PCM output format.)
For customer willing to pay for better quality, CallURL will soon
introduce a new product
(Tentatively code name TRu-Sound) that supports 16-bit audio format
and with new DSP and driver code,
a much cleaner audio, among other enhancement for bridging between
PSTN and VoIP in Full-Duplex mode.
Please contact us, or the website for details.

(3) Close other TAPI applications, then run "Diag32 (Line Detector)
it's in EasyTAPI tools folder"
under Settings --> TAPI Settings, make sure the Call

to "2" or bigger. As CID may coming between first and 2nd

(5) With in DIAG32 (Under tap "Tools", there's one item called Tone
Recording.
You can click "Record.." and then make a call, afterward,
try to "hear" if the Caller ID is within the recorded wave

Question #25 :
I am trying to make call to an outside number to connect it with an
incoming call,
CallURL board does not do it, what can you suggest?
Answer :
For Talk Voice Card, it only supports “Flash Transfer”, means need
to use the PABX “Flash transfer” to achieve
the transfer from caller to 2nd called party. (Via the first called
party). There’s NO SWITCHING function among its TAPI channels.
In theory, Transfer / Bridging within PC and functions as “virtual
switch” is doable. However, it is not implemented within
Talk Voice Card.
Instead, to support people of those requirements, we have ETS
(Ethernet Telephone Switch) product, (The LAN-based hardware
box we used to offer PCX),it will do (Via our IVR II
3.0.0) from one PSTN line to another one (because it has a build-in
PBX function
within PC). The ETS-4L is similar to 4LV+ but with build-in PBX
function, it also have a matching ETS-4P, that can connected to
analog phone as extensions.
People used ETS boxes for their small call center projects or
specific tender applications.

Question #26 :
When trying to install Talk Voice board, it seems
over-riding/deleting an onboard sound card’s drivers. The syndrome
is that
as soon as it runs through the install process, it “wipes away” the
sound card drivers and people can’t see the sound card at
all from Devices Manager on the control panel.
Answer :
The reason is that in some model of PC, their BIOS is pre-set to
only support the “first” found PCI Audio Device.
CallURL Voice Board is a “Voice Device”, so as it been detected, the
BIOS won’t look for other “on-board” sound device
(Note, on-board sound device is treated as PCI device, but scanned
later.)
Most of time, you can go to CMOS BIOS setting, and look something
like “Advance, PCI Peripheral Setting, in Audio Device
change the setting to “Enable” instead of “Auto” to allow the
on-board audio also been detected.
For the actual details, depending on PC make and model as BIOS is
different. Your customer may need to get support in BIOS
setting from their PC manual or seller.

Question #27 :
How to using Contax IVR II with CallURL 4LV+ voice card to forward
Incoming call to another Outgoing call
Answer :
You need rely on External PABX that has the “switching” capability
to do it.
The 4LV+ did not including the switching function within the
hardware.
Although you may notice that our PCX/ETS product can do “call
following”, but, it is because the ETS is a different hardware
(Ethernet Telephone Switch) as it has building switching capability.
As for how to interface the External PABX, the IVR call-flow needs
to follow the spec. defined by the External PABX. Basically,
it it can be done by human, the CX IVR II should be able to mimic
it.
