This democrat will be happy to vote republican for the 1st time in 2010 & 2012. This presidency has been nothing but one mistake after another. The warning signs were there, but we gave the benefit of any doubt and voted for hope. What we are getting is 'Change WHAT We Believe In'. I hoped he could unite a divided country, instead he is pursuing a far left tax & spend agenda, which even can be technically called socialism. We are now more divided than I have ever seen us. What Obama has done worldwide could be deemed treason:

• In London, Obama made clear that the world’s financial wealth was no longer made by those inferior leaders Roosevelt and Churchill, effectively ceding America’s leading role in creating and sharing wealth to nations that have never measured up to our country’s bountiful generosity or spirit of free-market entrepreneurship.
• In Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, Obama sat passively while the Marxist Chavez handed him an American-bashing book and delivered another revile-America speech, while never once rising to defend our country.

First of all, I'm a lifelong independent voter. I dislike Republicans because they're mean-spirited and hypocritical. I dislike Democrats because they're spineless and unable to stand their ground.

1. No Bush adminstration member will go to jail. If they had any real proof, it would have been presented already. Despite the heated belief over Bush corruption, no one has been in a realistic position to charge them with any crimes. Essentially, the punishment of Bush and his officials are idealistic liberal fantasies.

2. Because a group of news personalities state their anger and hatred of Barack Obama or certain liberal policies such as abortion is not legally inciting violence. To incite violence, a person must literally spell it out as "We should go a start fires at Obama's town hall meetings."

3. Bush's mistake in his first term was ignoring the Democrats. By 2006, Democrats took control and nobody got anything done due to refusal to compromise or cooperate on both sides of the isle. To alienate the Blue Dog Democrats would be suicide for the Obama's Democratic Party. Blue Dog Democrats represent much of the moderate aspect of the party, which is what most of America is. Without their support, the Democrat's fillbuster-proof numbers would dwindle despite a party majority. It will also give the Republicans the chance to divide and conquer.

4. Obama's single payer health care must be revised to gain better support. The legislation wording must spell out that there will be no "death panels," federally-funded abortions and that U.S. citizens don't have to join in on the government plan while keeping the cost of the whole thing to a reasonable, possibly minimum. So far Obama has poorly judged and failed to anticipate the reaction of the health care debate and prooving himself to be a President who allows the Congress to make decisions based on his recommendation, which has not been the best thing for him in the past few months.

5. Obama cannot simply pull every troop out of the Middle East. Troop withdrawals take a period of time to do. To immediately leave sends the message that we were defeated and are leaving with our tales between our legs. Obama's foreign policy may not be as aggressive as Bush's but he must put across that he's not taking terrorism lightly. For him to have troops fully leave Afghanistan and Iraq would come off as he doesn't think terrorism in that region is important. And if another terrorist attack takes place, he'd be dog meat.

6. Do not under estimate Republicans. Even when they are weakened, they are still aggressive and they play to win even when they realize they will most likely lose. Obama must make careful decisions in which he can compromise with Republicans just a little without pushing away his core base in the Democratic Party. I think you're pushing him to become a radical liberal in his decision making. That would only make the way for radical Republican responses. If Obama wants to govern with good approval ratings, he must govern from the middle with fiscal responsibility, terrorism and public opinion in mind.
