Here's how the program works:
  • Select the make and model of your choice.
  • Choose a vehicle from the search results.
  • Review the vehicle listing.
  • Click the "Buy It Now" button or submit a Best Offer.
  • Review and confirm your selection.
  • The selling dealer will respond to your offer - at that time, you'll be able to arrange financing and delivery options with the dealer.

Q: What vehicles are eligible for this program?

A: 2008, 2009 and select 2010 Chevrolet, Buick, Pontiac and GMC vehicles that are listed by participating GM dealers are eligible for this program.

Q: Where are these vehicles located?

A: The vehicles that you can select from are located at participating California GM dealerships. By entering your zip code to begin your search, eBay Motors will be able to provide results that show actual vehicles at dealerships in your locale.

Q: What happens when I click Buy It Now?

A: All vehicle listings in the program have a Buy It Now price. When you click on the Buy It Now button and submit your contact information, the listing will end and the selling GM dealer will be notified that you have offered to purchase the vehicle at that price. Your dealer will contact you to arrange financing, payment and delivery options.

If you click on "Buy It Now," you are making an offer to purchase the vehicle at a specified price. While the selling dealer may confirm that the price is acceptable online, the agreement is not binding until you and the dealer reach final agreement on satisfactory payment arrangements for the vehicle and for delivery. Each dealer may have their own payment terms applicable to the sale of the vehicle. The dealer should contact you to make these arrangements. If the dealer does not contact you, GM will follow up with you and facilitate that contact, but you should feel free to contact the dealer yourself to make these arrangements.

Q: What is Best Offer?

A: Best Offer is a listing format that allows buyers and sellers to negotiate a price for a vehicle. The buyer can submit an offer for the price they'd like to pay. The seller can accept, decline, or counteroffer a Best Offer.

Q: What happens if the dealer accepts my Best Offer?

A: When you submit a Best Offer price that has been accepted by the seller, the listing will end and the selling GM dealer will be notified of the price you wish to purchase the vehicle for. The dealer will contact you to arrange financing, payment and delivery options.

If you click on "Make an Offer," you are making an offer to purchase the vehicle at a specified price. While the selling dealer may confirm that the price is acceptable online, the agreement is not binding until you and the dealer reach final agreement on satisfactory payment arrangements for the vehicle and for delivery. Each dealer may have its own payment terms applicable to the sale of the vehicle. The dealer should contact you to make these arrangements. If the dealer does not contact you, GM will follow up with you and facilitate that contact, but you should feel free to contact the dealer yourself to make these arrangements.

Q: What happens if the dealer does not accept my Best Offer?

A: If your Best Offer is not accepted, you can always return to the listing and submit another Best Offer (limit 10), as long as the vehicle remains unsold. You may also continue your search for other vehicles available in this program. In addition, the selling dealer may contact you to assist you in finding a vehicle that fits your needs.

Q: What happens if I submit a Best Offer and do not receive an automatic response?

A: More than likely, the seller is reviewing and considering your offer. The selling GM dealer will contact you to further discuss your offer.

Q: How do I pay for the vehicle?

A: Once your offer has been accepted or you've chosen the Buy It Now option, the selling GM dealer will contact you to arrange financing and payment options. The financing and payment options for purchasing a vehicle in the program are the same as the options you have when purchasing on the dealer's lot. In fact, the purchase takes place at the dealership. No transaction takes place online.

Q: How can I pick up my new vehicle?

A: You can pick up your new vehicle at the GM dealership you've purchased it from. If the selling dealership is not in your geographical location, you can arrange shipping options with the dealer. As with all eBay transactions, shipping costs are generally the buyer's responsibility.

Q: Are these vehicles covered by warranty?

A: Your vehicle will be fully backed by GM. Coverage includes:
  • 100,000 mile/5-year transferable Powertrain Limited Warranty with no deductible*
  • 100,000 mile/5-year 24/7 Roadside Assistance Program*
  • 100,000 mile/5-year 24/7 Courtesy Transportation Program*
  • Bumper-to-Bumper New Vehicle Limited Warranty for 36,000 miles or 3 years
(Chevrolet, Pontiac and GMC) or 50,000 miles or 4 years (Buick)*.
You can learn more about GM's warranty program at

Q: Am I covered by eBay's Vehicle Purchase Protection program?

A: In addition to being covered by the GM 100,000 mile/5-year* Limited Powertrain Warranty (see description above), all vehicles purchased through this program are eligible for eBay's Vehicle Purchase Protection.

Q: If I click on "Buy It Now" or the seller accepts my offer price, am I guaranteed to get the vehicle?

A: No. You will still have to make satisfactory arrangements to pay for or finance the vehicle. In addition, while the vehicles are listed online, they are also available to customers who visit the dealership, so the vehicle can be sold to someone else at any time. Until you take delivery, there are no guarantees.

Q: Who is the seller of the vehicle?

A: The seller is the GM dealer who is listed on the View Item page for each vehicle. GM is not the seller of any vehicles.

Q: When I submit an offer or click "Buy It Now," where does my personal information go?

A: When you ask a question, submit an offer, or click on Buy It Now for a vehicle listed as part of this program, your personal information will be shared with GM and participating Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick or GMC dealers, who may use your information to communicate with you about your expression of interest for the purposes of pursuing and completing a GM vehicle transaction you initiated on the eBay website and to evaluate the effectiveness of the promotion. It may also be used by our suppliers to provide services. Your information will not be shared with other third parties for their independent use without your expressed consent.
