Four young children die after a car fleeing from police in Dinuba, Calif., ran a stop sign and slammed into the truck they were riding in, according to authorities. All three men in the car being chased were also killed in the crash.

'Dropped Like a Rock'
A tour helicopter and small plane plunged into the Hudson River between Manhattan and New Jersey Saturday after colliding in the air. "There was a loud pop, almost like a car backfire," said Buzz Nahas, an eyewitnesss. "The helicopter dropped like a rock." Here, emergency workers look for debris.

The Effects of Global Warming
An ongoing study finds the world's glaciers are melting at an alarming rate. Alaska's Gulkana glacier, pictured here, is one of three benchmarks for thousands of other glaciers that scientists say are disappearing. "Basically, in the past 10, 15 or 20 years these three glaciers are wasting away," said the lead researcher on the study.
