Karnesha Nantz gave an unexpected performance Friday morning.  The exotic dancer went to a Port St. Lucie home to entertain 46 year-old Daniel Karpisnki.

Suddenly, Nantz noticed something wrong.

“I turned away for a few seconds,” says Nantz. “Basically I had to recollect CPR from the 4th grade.”

Nantz talked with our partners at Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers. Police say Karpinzki was unconscious and having trouble breathing.  Nantz started CPR.

“I began doing CPR, did about 3 cycles of CPR and basically called 911 to see if I was doing it correctly,” says Nantz.  “Also to have the ambulance rushed to the scene.”

Paramedics rushed Karpinski from the home to St. Lucie Medical Center.  He now considers the dancer his hero.

Karnesha Nantz is just glad she remembered an old lesson.

“Thank God for learning CPR in the 4th grade,” says Nantz.

Daniel Karpinski is now out of the hospital.  He tells our partners at Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers that he accidentally took too much medicine.

Karpinski says he's slightly embarrassed by the whole situation, but he's glad Nantz was there to revive him.
