U.S. Journalists Imprisoned
Former President Bill Clinton is on his way to North Korea for negotiations to secure the release of two detained American journalists who were seized nearly five months ago while filming a documentary near the Chinese-North Korean border, South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported Monday. The U.S. Embassy in Seoul said it was checking the report.

Holland America says that a 45-year-old woman who went overboard from a cruise ship in Alaska appears to have committed suicide. The body of the woman, Amber Malkuch, was found Monday afternoon after a massive search that covered 80 miles.

A New Find on Mars
The rover Opportunity photographed this 2-foot-wide object on Mars on July 18. NASA has conducted tests on it, and "it's pretty clear" that the rock is a meteorite, said Albert Yen, a planetary scientist for the space agency.
