Earlier today, the Department of Homeland Security confirmed that Mr. Rosas was killed while tracking suspected aliens or gun smugglers in Southern California: "I am saddened to hear of the death of Border Patrol Agent Robert Rosas, who was killed while on duty in the San Diego Sector of the U.S.-Mexico border. My thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Rosas' family, and to all of our Border Patrol agents who put their lives on the line to secure America's borders.
