大韓民国の憲法第10条をご存知ですか？
「すべての国民は人間としての尊厳と価値をもち、幸福を追求する権利を有する」ことをはっきりと宣言してます。世界はえてして私たちに「違う」というレッテルを貼りつけ、「差別」を日常化し、自身の「無知」と「偏見」を「慣習」と「主流」の論理によって合理化しようとしますが、私たちは今やはっきりと分かっています。
人間の尊厳性と価値、そして幸福が誰からの許しを得ねばならない特権ではないことを、他人よりもより幸福になろうという欲ばりな心でも、他人と同じくあろうという羨みの心でもないことを。
クィアたちの威風堂々とした幸福は、自身の尊厳性と価値に自ら覚醒することから始まります。
今や韓国社会も、あらゆる人がみな尊重される価値がある存在であることを認めねばなりません。
こういったことから、クィア文化祭「むじげ2006」（＊「むじげ」とは虹の意味です−訳注）は、幸福の冒険家だといえます。というのも、同じ生き方のみを強要するこの世界の壁の一方を壊し、隠された広い世界を露にするからです。
享有し、感じ、楽しみ、そして分かち合わねばなりません。
クィアの幸せを、私たちの権利を。さあ、もう準備はできましたか？

The Korea Queer Culture Festival (KQCF) is the only queer cultural festival nationwide.
Up to the early 1990’s, public awareness of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered people was virtually nonexistent. Prejudice and discrimination against sexual minorities were rampant in everyday life but no one could even dare to protest, given the high conservatism and family-centeredness of Korean society. With 1993 as the turning point, however, Korean queers finally began to form activist groups and to raise their voice publicly. Since then, the last decade has witnessed the emergence not only of numerous queer activist organizations but also of bars and other business establishments catering to the needs of sexual minorities and countless communities on the Internet.Amidst and spurred on by such changes, in 2000, a queer cultural festival and a street parade were held for the first time in the nation’s history, thanks to the efforts of several queer rights organizations and activists. Although initially intended to be provisional, the event was an unexpected success, garnering much support from hitherto oppressed queers. Consequently, despite financial difficulty, queer activists and organizations created the KQCF Organizing Committee in 2001 in order to carry on the invaluable fruits of the very first queer cultural festival in Korea. Since then, the festival has grown as the sole and largest gala for sexual minorities in the country.
Moreover, the KQCF is a leading advocate of not only sexual minorities but also many other minorities in Korea, staunchly supporting their cultural, social, economic, and political rights. In addition, the festival has led innumerable sexual minorities, hitherto veiled behind the anonymity of the Internet, to come out and actively to create and to share a culture of their own.
So come join the KQCF! It’s a celebration open to not only Korean queers but also all queers around the world and their straight supporters. Your hand, your smile, your whistle, your cry will make the event more meaningful.

■[Action][Survival] Cruel suppression to Japanese Mayday demonstrators by Police
Hi, all.
On April 30, Japanese part-time and unemployed young workers, so-called Japanese precariat, organized Mayday demonstration in downtown Tokyo with sound system and DJ. This Mayday demonstration called on workers rights against unstable work conditions in neoliberal capitalism.
Although this demonstration was peaceful and nonviolent, police arrested a DJ and two demonstrators and seized a car with sound system. Also array of the demonstration was completely wedged between many police. Demonstrators could not access the people on side walk and drivers.

Japanese police suppression is different from other "democratic" countries. The arrested is usually detained 3 days, even a short one. Usually he/she is detained, over 3 weeks, 23 days. They cannot use telephone and the Internet. There is nothing of video and audio tape recording during investigation. So torture and some kind of violence and harassment by police is easy to do.
Recently Japanese police arrested activists by very minor offenses. Peace activists distributed anti war fliers to each individual mail box or watching US military base from condominium building were arrested as unlawful entry.toshi

2006年4月30日（日）、原宿穏田区民会館に百余名があつまり、「自由と生存のメーデー06」が開催され、プレカリアート（不安定な雇用を強いられた人々）として、社会的に差別、選別、排除された人々の訴えが発せられました。しかしその訴えを踏みにじるように、集会後のデモで3名の仲間（1名は2日に解放）が不当逮捕、更にサウンドカーやアドバルーンまでもが強奪されるという異様な弾圧が強行されました。
デモ申請の事実を無視した警察は、「道路交通法違反」を振りかざし、プレカリアートが中心となったデモをつぶそうと躍起になったのです。公安警察・機動隊・所轄署が渾然一体となったこの弾圧で、「道路交通法違反」「公務執行妨害」などのでっち上げ罪名により逮捕された仲間は、警察は接見交通（外部交通）の権利を踏みにじられたまま今も身柄を渋谷署・原宿署内にある代用監獄に拘束されています。又、本来「現行犯の罪証」には無用なはずの家宅捜索も強行されています。
本来であれば、メーデー当日は私たちプレカリアートやその運動を支援する者達が出会い、交流し、その闘いの起点となるべき日でした。しかし、権力によりその集まりが破壊されたことにより、私達はもう一度我々が集う場を持つ必要性を感じています。警察・検察そして裁判所が一体となったメーデー弾圧を絶対に許すことはできません。満腔の怒りを込めてここに強く抗議します。いま国会では共謀罪の審議が進められ、全国各地で警察権力による不当弾圧事件が続発しています。
私達は1人でも多くの人々が緊急集会に参加されることを訴えます。奪われた仲間、そして権利は取り戻さなければなりません！みなさん、共に頑張りましょう！
