Six-Year-Old Amazes With Watercolor Art

(July 31) - A six-year-old British boy has surprised and delighted his parents and local arts lovers with his lush watercolor paintings that capture scenic landscapes with the skill of someone many times his age.
Kieron Williamson began drawing when he was five after getting inspiration from harbor scenes and boats while his family was on vacation, reported UK's Daily Mail.

His raw talent caught the attention of family friend and artist Carol Pennington, who offered the boy lessons. Kieron's mother said the tutoring revealed a child prodigy.
"At the time, they were like the drawings of most five-year-olds but he really took off after going to some art classes," Michelle Williamson told the Daily Mail.
Art experts have lauded the young boy's ability to render perspective, shadow and reflection in images of streets, churches, harbors, lighthouses and other sights in his hometown of Norfolk.
"It is unusual to see someone of that age painting with such definition and in such a stylistic way," art expert and gallery owner Jeremy Green, told the newspaper. "Normally they would be splashing color all over the place."
"Some of these watercolors have a very rigid structure as if he has been painting in that style for some time. They are very good, there's no doubt about it."

Kieron is hoping to catch the eye of his country's royalty.
"I'm going to send one of my pictures to Prince Charles," Kieron said. "I've already sent one to the Queen but I haven't had a reply yet."

I hope no pressure is put on him, and that he can pursue his love of art with no expectation or demand. What raw talent. Amazing! Give him space to let him grow at his own rate!

Kids his age are painting hap hazard video and game pictures. It is refreshing to see a young man use his real imagination and awesome talent! Good luck and will look forward to seeing what a talented adult you become!

If his paintings are this good now, think about what they will look like in 5-10 years. I hope he sticks with it. The art is amazing for a child that age.
