I am writing this post because I am so enraged at a statement you must have heard from Mr Rain. Here is the exact interview that is very famous by now:
Interviewer: In the film" I'm a Cyborg, But That's Ok", which premiered at the Berlinale, you do some amazing yodelling. Where did you learn to that?
Rain: Oh, yodelling is big in Korea. There's a very old yodelling tradition. I had a very good teacher, Suh Yong-rhul. He's Korea's most famous yodeller.

I am so furious that Rain would say such a thing! "Korean Yodelling" '...what a shameful statement!...what a big lie!
I take so much personal offense at this sentiment. Yodelling culture is a sacred and time honoured Swiss tradition that has been around for centuries. Maybe even millions of years. For Rain to say such a thing and perpetuate this historical fantasy is an ignorant lie, and the most grave insult to the people of Switzerland.
(For the record, I am not from Switzerland, I am actually from Turkmenistan)
JOIN ME IN BOYCOTTING THIS MOVIE!!!
Together we will show the wachowski's what happens when you cast an actor with whom you've enjoyed working who is willing to train for a year straight and change his diet for your movie, who has spoken offhandedly about a tradition of Korean yodelling.
If all 15 of us don't go to the premiere (well I may, just to prove to myself how DISRESPECTFUL the film is), I am certain we will send them a message they cannot ignore! They will be looking at their charts of movie attendance in Turkmenistan and will say "I expected there to be a few more people in the Ashgabat Regional Theatre and Community Centre on opening night." And they will stop making films.
I also encourage everyone to either throw away your copies of the Matrix trilogy or write letters to the directors asking for your money back. I do not know their address. You may have to factor in some depreciation, especially if you haven't taken care of the packaging. Mine are all in good condition. With that money, please support the ACTUAL, TRUE movies that highlight yodelling in a forthright and decidedly non-Korean fashion. May I recommend:
I Love to Yodel (1944) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1162037/
Yodel Mountain (1951) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1162146/
and of course
Jerry in Yodel Land (1917) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0484664/
I welcome any response to this epic issue, but I may ignore your reasoning. Please be advised I am willing to spend hundreds of hours of my time writing about this.
