Most of these are perfectly legit, and some are long overdue, but "frenemy"? "Flash mob"? Hire some editors and get real! These marketer droppings are already obsolete, along with "ginormous," "cougar," and all the other contrived bullshitisms you guys at MW have added in recent years. You have a responsibility to your readers, and you have no business cluttering a useful, authoritative dictionary with this crap just to get media attention. Hire some editors!

Frenemy (1977): one who pretends to be a friend but is actually an enemy AKA UAE- Saudi Arabia, Iraq, England. Truth be known the US really HAS no friends, Canada is a neighbor, neither friend nor foe. We are just one of several world actors, walk softly but carry a big stick has never meant more.. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer has also never been more important. within the world of politics there is no room for friends, problem with politicians- friends become enemies or end up feeling you owe them something- hence why I have absolutely NO interest in politics.. one may enter politics as an honest soul, but by the end of the experience they are no longer honest nor pure.

mediacoup....an election outcome forced by media advocation. as in: so many things about obama were passed over or mitigated by the press that it could be called a mediacoup.obamunism...a form of government grown from lolo soetoro, stanley ann dunham, and frank marshall davis, as interpreted and implemented by the man now going by the name of barack obama.

How about "Anonytwit," (as in Anonymous Twit) such as the AOL blogger "Luckfibs" that gets all up in your face, acting and talking tough, but really is nothing more then a pathetic trollish individual sitting in his mother's basement, banging away on his computer? That's my new word for the year.

I created a new much needed word. Its definition is the same as Bull.S#it, but isn't offensive. It also sounds like BS so it will, over time come naturally. The word is Bullsh. Please pass it on.
