READ MY TIPS, NO NEW LAXES

It's been two weeks since I released my new book THE conPROMISED LAND. My once faithful readers became very lax. Only a few dozen were sold. Am I past my prime? Do I have nothing original to write? Am I a has-been? A once-was? Through to the other side?

NO, it can't be. I'm still vital. Sure, my Rabin murder expose was easier to grasp, so it was a hit. But my current research is just as historically enervating, but it may be just TOO much. My readers don't realize the research that went into the new book, so they don't appreciate how vital getting a copy is.

TIPS

In the book, I expose new coalition partner Avigdor Lieberman as a crook on the take, who years ago was bought by the "peace" camp. Soak in the crimes:

(INN) A lengthy investigative exposé in Haaretz targeting Minister of Strategic Affairs Avigdor Lieberman of Yisrael Beiteinu (Israel Our Home) has unearthed connections between the financier of the corruption-laden Oasis Casino in Jericho and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and his predecessor Ariel Sharon.

Lieberman is currently being investigated for receiving a bribe from Austrian-Jewish businessman Martin Schlaff.

Schlaff “was known during the Cold War for his ties with the East German secret police, the Stasi,” Haaretz reports. It also notes the fact that he met with Yitzchak Rabin hours before Rabin was murdered on November 4, 1995. He established the Jericho casino with the help of former Shas Chairman Aryeh Deri during Binyamin Netanyahu’s term as prime minister. The two were introduced by Dov Weissglas, who went on to be the architect of the 2005 Gaza Disengagement as a consultant to Sharon.

Many see the casino as one of the most corruption-laden aspects of the Oslo Accords. For years, gambling moguls lobbied for a casino in Israel and were rebuffed. Finally, with the “Gaza and Jericho First” stage of the Oslo Accords, in which the two areas were relinquished to PLO control, the Knesset no longer needed to approve the casino’s establishment.

Schlaff is now afraid to set foot in Israel, as he is being investigated for giving out millions of dollars in bribes to Lieberman and former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. Police have concluded that Schlaff transferred $3 million in bribes to Sharon through South African millionaire Cyril Kern to open offshore casinos on boats docked in Eilat. Austrian police confirmed that Sharon accepted the bribes.

The original Haaretz interest in the case was a series of articles by left-wing activist-turned-journalist Uri Blau, who was determined to expose Lieberman’s corruption, even at the cost of bringing down Olmert and Sharon.

Blau reported that $650,000 was transferred from an Austrian company owned by Schlaff to a Cyprus-based company “police suspect” was controlled by Lieberman on August 14, 2001 (while he was serving as Minister of Infrastructures in the Sharon government). Lieberman had established the company, originally named Nativ el HaMizrach (“Path to the East”) in 1998. Schlaff says the money was payment for Ukrainian lumber mills bought from the company. The article says, “Police suspect the money was a bribe.” It was not speculated for what the bribe was made.

Lieberman’s lawyer’s response: "Nativ el Hamizrach was sold by Lieberman in April 2001, and since then he has had no connection with it, and therefore he has no idea what happened to the company four months later."

If Syrian President Bashir Assad isn't destroyed by the commission investigating the murder of Lebanese billionaire politician Rashid Hariri, yes, he approved the hit, then Netanyahu will reward him for getting away with murder by handing him the Golan Heights in a "peace" deal. TEL AVIV, Israel, Jan. 6 (UPI)

The Jewish National Fund said Thursday it owns more than 13,000 acres southeast of Damascus. The Syrian government nationalized the land, but the group still has a right to demand land elsewhere in Syria, it said.

The JNF forwarded the information to the Israeli delegation negotiating peace with Syria. Syria has been demanding a total Israel withdrawal from all the Golan land, southwest of Damascus, that Israel captured in the 1967 war. A JNF spokeswoman said that Baron Edmond de Rothschild purchased its land at the beginning of the 20th century and transferred the rights to the JNF. De Rothschild facilitated early

Maariv (Hebrew only) reports that Baron Rothschild purchased thousands of acres of Syrian land in the 1920s that may today legally belong to the Jewish National Fund.

Rothschild’s real estate company, named Pika, bought the lands and the ownership of most of that land was transferred in 1957 to the JNF. About 59,000 dunams (15,000 acres) were purchased - 6,000 in the Golan Heights and 53,000 in the plains of Haran, 35 kilometers from Damascus and near Bashir Assad’s palace (according to Palestine Today’s report.) Taxes were paid on the land at least until 1942.

From Diane Rigali Hillary Clinton has been telling America that she is the most qualified candidate for president based on her "record," which she says includes her eight years in the White House as First Lady - or "co-president" - and her seven years in the Senate. Here is a reminder of what that record includes: HILLARY, As First Lady, assumed authority over Health Care Reform, a process that cost the taxpayers over $13 million. She told both Bill Bradley and Pat Moynahan, key votes were needed to pass her legislation, that she would "demonize "anyone who opposed it. But it was opposed; she couldn't even get it to a vote in a Congress controlled by her own party. (And in the next election, her party lost control of both the House and Senate.) HILLARY assumed authority over selecting a female Attorney General. Her first two recommendations (Zoe Baird and Kimba Wood) were forced to withdraw their names from consideration, and then she chose Janet Reno. Janet Reno has since been described by Bill himself as "my worst mistake." HILLARY recommended Lani Guanier for head of the Civil Rights Commission. When Guanier's radical views became known, her name had to be withdrawn. HILLARY recommended her former law partners, Web Hubbell, Vince Foster, and William Kennedy for positions in the Justice Department, White House staff, and the Treasury, respectively. Hubbell was later imprisoned, Foster committed suicide, and Kennedy was forced to resign. HILLARY also recommended a close friend of the Clintons, Craig Livingstone, for the position of director of White House security. When Livingstone was investigated for the improper access of up to 900 FBI files of Clinton enemies (Filegate) and the widespread use of drugs by White House staff, both Hillary and her husband denied knowing him. (FBI agent Dennis Sculimbrene confirmed in a Senate Judiciary Committee in 1996 both the drug use and Hillary's involvement in hiring Livingstone. After that, the FBI closed its White House Liaison Office, after serving seven presidents for over thirty years.) HILLARY, in order to open "slots" in the White House for her friends the Harry Thomasons (to whom millions of dollars in travel contracts could be awarded), had the entire staff of the White House Travel Office fired. They were reported to the FBI for "gross mismanagement" and their reputations ruined. After a thirty-month investigation, only one, Billy Dale, was charged with a crime - mixing personal money with White House funds when he cashed checks. The jury acquitted him in less than two hours. HILLARY also assumed the duty of directing the "bimbo eruption squad" and scandal defense: ...She urged her husband not to settle the Paula Jones lawsuit. ...She refused to release the Whitewater documents, which led to the appointment of Ken Starr as Special Prosecutor. After $80 million dollars of taxpayer money was spent, Starr's investigation led to Monica Lewinsky, which led to Bill lying about and later admitting his affairs. ...Then they had to settle with Paula Jones after all. ...And Bill lost his law license for lying to the grand jury. ...And Bill was impeached by the House. ...And Hillary almost got herself indicted for perjury and obstruction of justice (she avoided it mostly because she repeated, "I do not recall," "I have no recollection," and "I don't know" 56 times under oath). HILLARY accepted the traditional First Lady's role of decorator of the White House at Christmas, but in a unique Hillary way. In 1994, for example, The First Lady's Tree in the Blue Room (the focal point each year) was Decorated with drug paraphernalia, sex toys, and pornographic ornaments, all personally approved by Hillary as the invited artists' depictions of the theme, "The Twelve Days of Christmas." HILLARY wrote "It Takes a Village," demonstrating her socialist viewpoint. HILLARY decided to seek election to the Senate in a state she had never lived in. Her husband pardoned FALN terrorists in order to get Latino support and the New Square Hassidim to get Jewish support. Hillary also had Bill pardon her brother's clients, for a small fee, to get financial support. HILLARY then left the White House, but later had to return $200,000 in White House furniture, china, and artwork she had stolen. HILLARY played the "woman card" in the campaign for the Senate, by portraying her opponent (Lazio) as a bully picking on her. HILLARY'S husband further protected her by asking the National Archives to withhold from the public until 2012 many records of their time in the White House, including much of Hillary's correspondence and her calendars. (There are ongoing lawsuits to force the release of those records.) HILLARY, as the junior Senator from New York , passed no major legislation. She has deferred to the senior Senator (Schumer) to tend to the needs of New Yorkers, even on the hot issue of medical problems of workers involved in the cleanup of Ground Zero after 9/11. Obama to name CFR MEMBER Geithner, CFR MEMBER Summers to economic posts

NEW YORK (AP) - President-elect Barack Obama will announce the leaders of his economic team Monday, naming CFR MEMBER Timothy Geithner as treasury secretary and CFR MEMBER Lawrence Summers to direct the National Economic Council, transition officials said.

If confirmed by the Senate, CFR MEMBER Geithner, 47, president of the New York Federal Reserve, would be the top Cabinet official in charge of leading the administration's response to the global economic crisis. Word of his likely selection Friday helped send the Dow Jones Industrials soaring 500 points after several days of steep losses.

CFR MEMBER Geithner (pronounced GITE-ner) served as a Treasury Department official during the CFR MEMBER Clinton’s administration, where he played a major role in negotiating assistance packages for South Korea and Brazil.

CFR MEMBER Summers, 53, a former treasury secretary under CFR MEMBER President Bill Clinton and one-time president of Harvard University, will advise Obama from the White House. Officials said he would coordinate the federal response to the economic meltdown across several agencies, including a plan Obama announced Saturday to create or save 2.5 million jobs by rebuilding infrastructure and modernizing schools while developing alternative energy sources and more efficient cars.

During the Clinton administration, CFR MEMBER Summers helped craft the U.S. support program for Mexico during its 1995 financial crisis. He later helped lead the U.S. response to the Asian financial crisis of 1997.

CFR MEMBER Geithner and CFR MEMBER Summers were scheduled to appear with Obama at a press conference in Chicago Monday morning.

New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton also is in line to become secretary of state, while Obama's choice for attorney general is Eric Holder. He held the No. 2 slot in the Justice Department in CFR MEMBER President Bill Clinton's administration.

Officials said New Mexico Gov. CFR MEMBER Bill Richardson had emerged as a likely pick as commerce secretary, although he had hoped to be secretary of state. Like Clinton, he was a rival of Obama's for the Democratic presidential nomination last winter. He dropped out after the early contests, though, and soon threw his support behind the eventual winner. The officials spoke only on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to publicly discuss the anticipated appointments.

While speculation has been rampant about most top-level appointments, there has been relatively little about Obama's choice for defense secretary. His aides encouraged speculation before the election that CFR MEMBER Robert Gates, who now holds the position, would remain in office for an interim period.

Former Senate Majority Leader CFR MEMBER Tom Daschle of South Dakota has been chosen as secretary of health and human services and Arizona Gov. CFR MEMBER Janet Napolitano is likely to be named as secretary of the Homeland Security Department.

CFR MEMBER Napolitano was an early supporter of candidate Obama among the ranks of Democratic governors, as was Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas. Sebelius has figured prominently in recent days in speculation as possible secretary of labor.

Additionally, retired CFR MEMBER Gen. James Jones, a former Marine Corps commandant and NATO commander, was among those under consideration for national security adviser. CFR MEMBER James Steinberg, an Obama campaign aide who served in Clinton's White House, was another possibility, according to officials.

Obama has repeatedly referred to the economic crisis as the top priority for his new administration.

CFR MEMBER Geithner held posts in the Treasury Department under three administrations and five secretaries before moving to the New York Fed in 2003. He also held positions at the International Monetary Fund and was employed at the private firm of former Secretary of State CFR MEMBER Henry Kissinger.

"It's My Secret Prayer, Too," He Confessed

ZICHRON YAAKOV - There were two questions I wanted to ask, I said over the phone to Batya Keinan, spokeswoman for Israeli president Ezer Weizman, who was about to leave the next day, Monday, Jan. 24, on the first visit ever made to Turkey by a Jewish chief of state. One was whether Mr. Weizman would be taking part in an official ceremony commemorating Kemal Ataturk.

Ms. Kenan checked the president's itinerary, according to which he and his wife would lay a wreath on Ataturk's grave the morning of their arrival, and asked what my second question was.
"Does President Weizman know that Ataturk had Jewish ancestors and was taught Hebrew prayers as a boy?"
"Of course, of course," she answered as unsurprisedly as if I had inquired whether the president was aware that Ataturk was Turkey's national hero.

Excited and Distressed

I thanked her and hung up. A few minutes later it occurred to me to call back and ask whether President Weizman intended to make any reference while in Turkey to Ataturk's Jewish antecedents. "I'm so glad you called again," said Ms. Kenan, who now sounded excited and a bit distressed. "Exactly where did you get your information from?"
Why was she asking, I countered, if the president's office had it too?
Because it did not, she confessed. She had only assumed that it must because I had sounded so matter-of-fact myself. "After you hung up," she said, "I mentioned what you told me and nobody here knows anything about it. Could you please fax us what you know?"

I faxed her a short version of it. Here is a longer one.

Stories about the Jewishness of Ataturk, whose statue stands in the main square of every town and city in Turkey, already circulated in his lifetime but were denied by him and his family and never taken seriously by biographers. Of six biographies of him that I consulted this week, none even mentions such a speculation. The only scholarly reference to it in print that I could find was in the entry on Ataturk in the Israeli Entsiklopedya ha-Ivrit, which begins:
"Mustafa Kemal Ataturk - (1881-1938), Turkish general and statesman and founder of the modern Turkish state.
"Mustafa Kemal was born to the family of a minor customs clerk in Salonika and lost his father when he was young. There is no proof of the belief, widespread among both Jews and Muslims in Turkey, that his family came from the Doenme. As a boy he rebelled against his mother's desire to give him a traditional religious education, and at the age of 12 he was sent at his demand to study in a military academy."

Secular Father

The Doenme were an underground sect of Sabbetaians, Turkish Jews who took Muslim names and outwardly behaved like Muslims but secretly believed in Sabbetai Zevi, the 17th-century false messiah, and conducted carefully guarded prayers and rituals in his name. The encyclopedia's version of Ataturk's education, however, is somewhat at variance with his own. Here is his account of it as quoted by his biographers:

"My father was a man of liberal views, rather hostile to religion, and a partisan of Western ideas. He would have preferred to see me go to a * lay school, which did not found its teaching on the Koran but on modern science.
"In this battle of consciences, my father managed to gain the victory after a small maneuver; he pretended to give in to my mother's wishes, and arranged that I should enter the [Islamic] school of Fatma Molla Kadin with the traditional ceremony. ...

"Six months later, more or less, my father quietly withdrew me from the school and took me to that of old Shemsi Effendi who directed a free preparatory school according to European methods. My mother made no objection, since her desires had been complied with and her conventions respected. It was the ceremony above all which had satisfied her."
Who was Mustafa Kemal's father, who behaved here in typical Doenme fashion, outwardly observing Muslim ceremonies while inwardly scoffing at them? Ataturk's mother Zubeyde came from the mountains west of Salonika, close to the current Albanian frontier; of the origins of his father, Ali Riza, little is known. Different writers have given them as Albanian, Anatolian and Salonikan, and Lord Kinross' compendious 1964 "Ataturk" calls Ali Riza a "shadowy personality" and adds cryptically regarding Ataturk's reluctance to disclose more about his family background: "To the child of so mixed an environment it would seldom occur, wherever his racial loyalties lay, to inquire too exactly into his personal origins beyond that of his parentage."

Learning Hebrew

Did Kinross suspect more than he was admitting? I would never have asked had I not recently come across a remarkable chapter while browsing in the out-of-print Hebrew autobiography of Itamar Ben-Avi, son of Eliezer Ben-Yehuda, the leading promoter of the revival of spoken Hebrew in late 19th-century Palestine. Ben-Avi, the first child to be raised in Hebrew since ancient times and later a Hebrew journalist and newspaper publisher, writes in this book of walking into the Kamenitz Hotel in Jerusalem one autumn night in 1911 and being asked by its proprietor: " 'Do you see that Turkish officer sitting there in the corner, the one* with the bottle of arrack?' "

" 'Yes.' "
" 'He's one of the most important officers in the Turkish army.' "
" 'What's his name?' "
" 'Mustafa Kemal.' "

" 'I'd like to meet him,' I said, because the minute I looked at him I was startled by his piercing green eyes."
Ben-Avi describes two meetings with Mustafa Kemal, who had not yet taken the name of Ataturk, 'Father of the Turks.' Both were conducted in French, were largely devoted to Ottoman politics, and were doused with large amounts of arrack. In the first of these, Kemal confided:

"I'm a descendant of Sabbetai Zevi - not indeed a Jew any more, but an ardent admirer of this prophet of yours. My opinion is that every Jew in this country would do well to join his camp."
During their second meeting, held 10 days later in the same hotel, Mustafa Kemal said at one point:"
'I have at home a Hebrew Bible printed in Venice. It's rather old, and I remember my father bringing me to a Karaite teacher who taught me to read it. I can still remember a few words of it, such as --' "
And Ben-Avi continues:
"He paused for a moment, his eyes searching for something in space. Then he recalled:
" 'Shema Yisra'el, Adonai Elohenu, Adonai Ehad!'

" 'That's our most important prayer, Captain.'

" 'And my secret prayer too, cher monsieur,' he replied, refilling our glasses."

Although Itamar Ben-Avi could not have known it, Ataturk no doubt meant "secret prayer" quite literally. Among the esoteric prayers of the Doenme, first made known to the scholarly world when a book of them reached the National Library in Jerusalem in 1935, is one containing the confession of faith:

"Sabbetai Zevi and none other is the true Messiah. Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one."
It was undoubtedly from this credo, rather than from the Bible, that Ataturk remembered the words of the Shema, which to the best of my knowledge he confessed knowing but once in his adult life: to a young Hebrew journalist whom he engaged in two tipsily animated conversations in Jerusalem nearly a decade before he took control of the Turkish army after its disastrous defeat in World War I, beat back the invading Greeks and founded a secular Turkish republic in which Islam was banished - once and for all, so he thought - to the mosques.

Ataturk would have had good reasons for concealing his Doenme origins. Not only were the Doenmes (who married only among themselves and numbered close to 15,000, largely concentrated in Salonika, on the eve of World War I) looked down on as heretics by both Muslims and Jews, they had a reputation for sexual profligacy that could hardly have been flattering to their offspring. This license, which was theologically justified by the claim that it reflected the faithful's freedom from the biblical commandments under the new dispensation of Sabbetai Zevi, is described by Ezer Weizman's predecessor, Israel's second president, Yitzchak Ben-Zvi, in his book on lost Jewish communities, "The Exiled and the Redeemed":

'Saintly Offspring'

"Once a year [during the Doenmes' annual 'Sheep holiday'] the candles are put out in the course of a dinner which is attended by orgies and the ceremony of the exchange of wives. ... The rite is practiced on the night of Sabbetai Zevi's traditional bithday. ... It is believed that children born of such unions are regarded as saintly."

Although Ben-Zvi, writing in the 1950s, thought that "There is reason to believe that this ceremony has not been entirely abandoned and continues to this day," little is known about whether any of the Doenmes' traditional practices or social structures still survive in modern Turkey. The community abandoned Salonika along with the city's other Turkish residents during the Greco-Turkish war of 1920-21, and its descendants, many of whom are said to be wealthy businessmen and merchants in Istanbul, are generally thought to have assimilated totally into Turkish life.
After sending my fax to Batya Keinan, I phoned to check that she had received it. She had indeed, she said, and would see to it that the president was given it to read on his flight to Ankara. It is doubtful, however, whether Mr. Weizman will allude to it during his visit: The Turkish government, which for years has been fending off Muslim fundamentalist assaults on its legitimacy and on the secular reforms of Ataturk, has little reason to welcome the news that the father of the 'Father of the Turks' was a crypto-Jew who passed on his anti-Muslim sentiments to his son. Mustafa Kemal's secret is no doubt one that it would prefer to continue to be kept.

AND now for TIP 5. The most frightening in its implication for LABOR Zionism, and not the good Zionism of Jabotinsky or the orthodox. Israel in six decades of existence, convicted one and only one Nazi, Adolph Eichmann. They let tens of thousands of butchers off the hook. So why Eichmann? Because he knew far too much of Labor Zionism's negotiations to let 800,000 Jews trapped in Hungary die, while bartering with him to save a few thousand of their staunchest loyalists. Eichmann was brought to Jerusalem and locked in a soundproof glass cage. THE conPROMISED LAND asserts that the precaution didn't work 100%. The implication is the Israeli "peace" camp has a lot of Jewish blood to account for, and if they aren't exposed, they'll have to explain away just as much blood flowing out of former Israel.

David Cesarani is a well-publicized British holocaust historian, but the
inadequacy of his present work will be obvious to the field's scholars. He wages
trivial battle against some commentators on Eichmann and totally evades others.
He gives little important new information on Eichmann, nor does he correct
his own previous errors. In spite of Da Capo Press's jacket claim that "Cesarani
. . . reveals [Eichmann's] initially cordial working relationship with
Zionist Jews in Germany," in fact he omits many of Eichmann's previously published
statements that may embarrass Zionism (or Cesarani himself). Indeed, the true
Eichmann rarely makes a full appearance in his latest biography.

Cesarani devotes much of his book to attacking ex-Zionist Hannah Arendt's
celebrated Eichmann in Jerusalem report on his 1961 trial and her famous
"banality of evil" description of him. Defending Zionism against her critique drives
him to denounce her as "deeply prejudiced. She came from the German Jewish
bourgeoisie that had long nurtured a contempt for the Jews of Poland and Russia."
He rages against "her nasty, stereotypical comments about Jews. (p. 345) He
complains of Arendt's accusations of Zionist collaboration with Eichmann, a
topic his trial's prosecution didn't dare touch. "She claimed it deliberately
avoided instances of Jewish cooperation with the Nazis, notably by Zionist
organizations" (p. 348). But he doesn't explain why many eastern Jews agree with her
description of Zionist misleadership. Indeed he doesn't dare quote her
directly on the 1930s Zionist-Nazi collaboration, when

Eichmann learned his lessons about Jews. . . . Hitler's rise to power appear
ed to the Zionists chiefly as "the decisive defeat of assimilationism". . . .
Zionists too believed that "dissimulation," combined with the emigration to
Palestine of Jewish youngsters and, they hoped, Jewish capitalists, could be a
"mutually fair solution" . . . . The result was that in the thirties, when
American Jewry took great pains to organize a boycott of German merchandise,
Palestine, of all places, was swamped with all kinds of goods "made in Germany."
(Eichmann in Jerusalem, pp. 58-60, 62)

In 1937, Labor Zionist Feivel Polkes invited Eichmann to Palestine. On 2
October 1937, the Nazi visited a kibbutz. Realizing he was a German agent, the
British deported him to Egypt, where he eventually met Polkes, who offered to spy
for Germany in return for loosened currency restrictions for Zionists.

In 1944, Labor Zionist Reszo Kasztner (a.k.a. Rudolph Kastner) negotiated
with Eichmann, offering silence on Nazi plans to deport 750,000 Hungarian Jews to
Auschwitz in return for Eichmann's promise to send prominent Jews to
Switzerland. In 1946, Kasztner reported his activities to the World Zionist
Organization. In 1953, the Israeli government on Kasztner's behalf sued a Hungarian Jew
for libeling Kasztner as a Nazi collaborator, but the judge found him a
collaborator. He was assassinated by right-wing Zionists but the Labor-Zionist
dominated Supreme Court ruled posthumously on his appeal. He didn't collaborate
because "no law . . . lays down the duties of a leader in an hour of emergency
toward those who rely on leadership and are under his instructions" (Ben Hecht,
Perfidy, p. 272). But he did perjure himself in a Nuremberg affidavit on
behalf of an SS man.

In 1955, hiding in Argentina, Eichmann discussed Palestine and Kasztner on
tape. After his capture in 1960, Life magazine published excerpts. On the
kibbutz in 1937, he;

did see enough to be very impressed by the way the Jewish colonists were
building up their land. I admired their desperate will to live, the more so since
I was myself an idealist. In the years that followed I often said to Jews with
whom I had dealings that, had I been a Jew, I would have been a fanatical
Zionist. I could not imagine being anything else. In fact, I would have been the
most ardent Zionist imaginable." ("Eichmann Tells His Own Damning Story," Life
[28 November 1960], p. 22).

He described Kasztner as;

a fanatical Zionist. He agreed to help keep the Jews from resisting
deportation -- and even keep order in the collection camps -- if I would close my eyes
and let a few hundred or a few thousand young Jews emigrate illegally to
Palestine. It was a good bargain. For keeping order in the camps, the price of
15,000 or 20,000 Jews -- in the end there may have been more -- was not too high
for me. And because Kastner rendered us a great service by helping keep the
deportation camps peaceful, I would let his groups escape" ("I Transported Them
to the Butcher," Life [5 Dec. 1960], p. 146).

Neither stunning quote is in Becoming Eichmann.

In 1961, Ben Hecht, a celebrated American journalist and Zionist, wrote
Perfidy (Julian Messner, 1961) about the libel trial. His quotes from the judge's
decision attracted worldwide attention: "Eichmann did not want a second Warsaw.
For this reason, the Nazis exerted themselves to mislead and bribe the Jewish
leaders. The personality of Rudolph Kastner made him a convenient catspaw for
Eichmann and his clique" (Perfidy, p. 179). But Hecht and Perfidy are not
listed in Cesarani's sources and bibliography.

In 1983, my Zionism in the Age of the Dictators, which detailed Kasztner's
collaboration and the libel trial, was published in Britain. In 1987, Jim Allen
used it and Perfidy in writing his play Perdition. The Zionist establishment,
using Cesarani's "Perdition, by Jim Allen: A Report," drove the play out of a
London theatre, two days before its scheduled opening. Cesarani admitted that
Allen cited "evidence of a symbiosis of Zionism and Nazi ideas about the volk,
etc." But "Racial theories permeated all ideologies at this time, and it is
banal to observe that Zionism was expressed in, and legitimated according to,
the discourse available. Zionism could not have transcended the thought of the
period" (David Cesarani, "Perdition, by Jim Allen: A Report," p. 5).

The show biz purge generated such attention that a nationwide, prime time TV
debate was organized. Allen, Marion Woolfson, and I took on Stephen Roth, who
worked with Kasztner, historian Martin Gilbert, and Rabbi Hugo Gryn, an
Auschwitz survivor. Ultimately Cesarani confessed, in London's 3 July 1987 Jewish
Chronicle, that the public thought the theatre "had been bullied into censoring
the play." Nothing of this is in Cesarani's present book. The Essential Lenny
Bruce is listed in the bibliography for an Eichmann joke, but apparently
Zionism in the Age of the Dictators, Jim Allen, Perdition, and Cesarani's report do
not merit mention.

Cesarani admits that Fritz Bauer, Attorney General of Hesse, West Germany,
discovered that Eichmann was hiding in Buenos Aires. "Yet the Israelis showed
remarkably little interest in pursuing the leads . . . they practically had to
be led to the fugitive Nazi" (p. 14). When they caught him, they "skirted round
sensitive issues such as the contact between Zionists and Eichmann in the
1930s, and the negotiations over the fate of the Hungarian Jews in 1944 that
involved Ben-Gurion himself" (p. 14).

But this isn't fast breaking news. In 1973, Andreas Biss, who worked with
Kasztner, wrote of his offer to testify against Eichmann, whom he had contact
with in Budapest. A date was set until the prosecutor learned that Biss would
defend Kasztner's role. The prosecutor asked Biss "especially to pass over in
silence what was then in Israel called 'the Kasztner affair'" (Andreas Biss, A
Million Jews to Save, p. 231). He refused and was dropped as a witness. Biss's
book is in Cesarani's bibliography, but he goes unmentioned in the text.

Zionism is a major theme in Eichmann's life from 1935, when he read Theodor
Herzl and studied Hebrew, through the 1944-45 Hungarian slaughter. It again
became part of his life with the 1950s libel trial and tapes. Then he was
captured, tried and executed by Israel in 1962. Reading him and about him raises
questions for general readers and specialists: What made Zionism so attractive to
him? Who in the Zionist establishment did Polkes report to regarding his
negotiations? Why wasn't Israel looking for Eichmann after the libel trial? Had the
prosecutor asked, what would he have testified about Kasztner, who Israel's
high court declared wasn't a collaborator? Cesarani tells us that a Zionist
historian "begged for a stay of execution on the grounds that it would folly to
kill such a unique witness to history" (p. 320). Why weren't historians allowed
to query him in depth before his execution (which of course was justice
served)?

In 1947-8, many UN delegations and much of world opinion supported Israel's
creation because of what Hitler had done to the Jews. Few, Jew or gentile, knew
what Zionists did or didn't do for the Jews. By now, Cesarani knows both. But
he came upon Zionism's shameful relations with Eichmann as a Zionist zealot
and has, for decades, consistently applied his ideology to the facts, instead
of fact checking his beliefs. He grudgingly accepts the reality of repeated
collaboration, but he refuses to treat it systematically. The 14 May 2006 New
York Times is correct: Cesarani is "a writer in control neither of his material
nor of himself." For all his rage against Arendt personally and her expose of
Zionism, when it comes to interpreting Eichmann, nominally the topic of his
book, the Times was correct: "what is striking is how far [Cesarani's] research
goes to reinforce [Arendt's] fundamental arguments."

MA’ARIV INTERVIEW WITH REB YAKOV LEIB HAKOHAIN

MA’ARIV: Why neo-Sabbatianism? What does this approach have that other religious streams, in or outside of Judaism, lack?

REB YAKOV LEIB HAKOHAIN: First, we are not a “religion.” Neo-Sabbatianism seeks to destroy religion, not to compete with it. Religions ­ all religions (and most especially the so-called “Abrahamic” religions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam) ­ are the Kellipot surrounding and entrapping the Glory of God. Jews worship Judaism; Christians worship Christianity; Muslims worship Islam ­ we Neo-Sabbatians worship God, not as a supernatural being but as an infinite, boundless, undefinable Mind possessing no corporeality or substance, yet having self-awareness, intelligence, emotion, will, and intention. All things that ever were, are and will be are in this “God,” but in potential rather than physical form. This “God” is energy, not entity ­ at first, before creation, Energy in its potential state but, during and after creation, energy in its kinetic state as well. Like energy, and because it is energy, this “God” can neither be created nor destroyed. It corresponds more to the Ayn Sof of Kabbalah than to the Yahweh of Judaism. Strictly speaking, we Neo-Sabbatians don’t “worship” or pray to this “God” but seek to know It, communicate with It and assist It in its return to the wholeness from which It has fallen by the act of creation. We do this not “out there” as religions do, but “in here” as the so-called mystic does. We do this not through religious creed and ritual ­ which we consider deterrents rather than aids to knowing “God” ­ but by the direct inner experience of It through the power of Ze’ir Anpin, or what C. G. Jung calls “the One who dwells within [us], whose form has no knowable boundaries, who encompasses [us] on all sides, fathomless as the abysms of the earth and vast as the sky.”

MA’ARIV: The last article of yours we published aroused much interest but one topic was ostensibly missing: the practice. What sins do you actually practice, how do you chose them, what are the consequences, the price, the reward?

REB YAKOV LEIB HAKOHAIN: We’re not concerned in Neo-Sabbatian Kabbalah with the “practice” of sin, but with the transformation of unholiness into holiness ­ again, not “out there” somewhere but “in here” where it exists without our needing to “choose” it. Furthermore it is on the level of thought not deed that this transformation of the unholy into the holy ­ this “redemption through sin” ­ takes place for us. As the Ba’al Shem Tov said, “The Evil Thoughts come to man even in the midst of prayer. And they come to him as to their redemption. When an evil or alien though arises in a man, it comes to him in order that he may redeem it, and let it ascend.” In other words, for us “sin” is not an outer ritual to be acted out through the body, but an inner encounter with evil in what the Zohar calls the “heart-mind” for the purposes not of enjoying the evil, but of transforming it. To quote the great poet and Sufi master, Rumi:, “To do evil is only reprehensible when it is done for its own sake. But when evil is done for the sake of the good, then it is not reprehensible” which corresponds almost directly to the Ba’al Shem Tov’s statement, “In truth, there is no opposite between good and evil, for evil is the throne of good.”

MA’ARIV: Could you elaborate on the issue of religious conversion? How has your own religious experience changed as you took on yourself Christianity, Islam and Hinduism?

REB YAKOV LEIB HAKOHAIN: To begin with, the point of my multiple conversions ­ like those of Sabbatai Zevi and Jacob Frank before me ­ wasn’t to change me, but to repair God. In fact, the entire emphasis in Neo-Sabbatian Kabbalah isn’t on me ­ not on my salvation or my transformation ­ but on the salvation and transformation of God. Martin Buber put it best, I think, when he said, “No soul has its object in its own salvation True, each person is to know themselves, purify themselves, perfect themselves, but not for their own sake ­ neither for the sake of their temporal happiness nor for that of their eternal bliss ­ but for the sake of the Tikkun which they are destined to perform upon the world.” Therefore, the Holy Apostasies of Sabbatai Zevi, Jacob Frank and myself were not conversions “of-the-flesh,” as it were, but conversions “of-the-heart.” The goal of converting to each religion was to retrieve and liberate the Holy Sparks imprisoned there, rather than to become a practicing member of its religious communion. Actually, in a way, the purpose of such Neo-Sabbatian conversions is to destroy the religion one enters into, much in the way the worm destroys the apple, rather than to become a practicing member of it.

MA’ARIV: Could you briefly describe your spiritual biography - how come you found yourself drawn to antinomian religion? Do you find it related to the 60’s counter-culture?

REB YAKOV LEIB HAKOHAIN: I’m 73 years old, and for as long as I can remember ­ even as far back as when I was an infant in my crib ­ I was mad for this “God” who relentlessly pursued me in dreams and visions ­ even, as I said, when I was an infant in my crib. To paraphrase our friend, Leonard Cohen, “it’s not I who chooses God, but God who chooses me.” I wasn’t “drawn to antinomian religion,” ­ it was God who drew me to it. As for the 60’s, I was what I was long before they were. I studied philosophy and comparative religion in college, at least a decade before the 60’s. In a way (if you’ll excuse my signature immodesty) it was people like me who created the 60’s, not the 60’s that created us.

MA’ARIV: And of course - could you tell a bit about the community of Turkish Ma’aminim and your relationship with them.

REB YAKOV LEIB HAKOHAIN: My mother’s family was originally from Istanbul, Turkey where their Donmeh surname was “Goldman.” (The photo you see below is of my Turkish great-grandmother, Peli, on the left, taken when she was 101 years old..) My father’s family, although not from Turkey, was from Romania, so both sides came from what was then the Ottoman Empire, cradle of Sabbatianism. Probably for that reason, the hereditary Ma’aminim of Turkey have been supportive.of our work almost from its beginning. In fact, many of them are members of Donmeh West, and one of their leaders (some say THE leader, but he denies being such) helped me establish Donmeh West on the internet a decade ago and has been our supporter and friend ever since.

MA’ARIV: In what ways do you instruct your students to get in touch with God? What is the practical teaching? Examples would do as well.

REB YAKOV LEIB HAKOHAIN: “God speaks first in one way, and then in another, but not one notices. He speaks by dreams, and visions that come in the night.” (Job 33:14) So the “practical teaching” we give is, Shut up and listen! Concerning this use of dreams in Neo-Sabbatian Kabbalah, the noted Bible scholar, author and Zurich-Certified Jungian analyst, J. Marvin Spiegelman, wrote: “[Yakov Leib HaKohain] has made an unusual attempt at combining Jungian [dream interpretation] and the Kabbalah, significantly more than has been assayed heretofore. There have been accounts of the impact of Jewish Mysticism and Kabbalah on [modern dream interpretation] ­ e.g. Freud and Jung ­ but [Yakov Leib HaKohain] is the first to our knowledge who explicitly combines archetypal information and Jungian concepts in a back-and-forth relation between dreams, personal history and Kabbalistic imagery.” (J. Marvin Spiegelman, Modern Jew In Search of a Soul,” Falcon Press, 1986, p. 84)

MA’ARIV: Would it be possible to give also some examples of the process you described, of committing sins inwardly and then repenting?

REB YAKOV LEIB HAKOHAIN: The purpose of “committing the sin inwardly” isn’t actually to “commit” it, but to transform it, so the entire issue has nothing really to do with “repenting” as much as it does with releasing Holiness from the Klippah of Unholiness that imprisons it. To paraphrase Rebbe Nachman, one enters into the sin not to commit it for one’s own personal gratification, but to “transform it into a holy angel, a being of might and destiny.” For example if an “alien thought” , as the Ba’al Shem Tov calls it, comes to one during prayer ­ say, having hot sweaty sex with the young babe davening on the other side of the mechitzah ­ the praying man should not do everything he can to put that thought out of his mind, but he should instead “embrace” it, allow himself to engage in it, through what the Zohar calls the “Gate of Imagination,” ­ and this, not for his own sexual satisfaction, but to release the nitzot of holiness from its klippah of sexual desire. In other words, it is the kavannah behind the imagining that makes it either a holy tikkun or an issur sexual fantasy.

MA’ARIV: Sabbtai Zevi as described among his followers as the Messiah, not only in the universal sense (as an example of a God-Realized man for instance) but as the historic, unique savior in which one should have faith (in the Pauline sense). What is your view belief of Sabbtai’s importance?

REB YAKOV LEIB HAKOHAIN: We do not view Sabbatai Zevi as a “savior”, or even necessarily as the “messiah” in the commonly understood sense of the word. And we certainly do not view him as a God-man in the way Christians view Jesus. (Remember, this is NEO-Sabbatian Kabbalah we’re talking about.) Rather, we view Jesus and Sabbatai, along with the avatars of other spiritual traditions, as stages in an ongoing process extending from Jesus to the present moment ­ a process in which all of us, whether we know it or not, are participating; a process called, “the continuing incarnation of God” about which C. G. Jung wrote, “The indwelling of the Holy Spirit, the third divine person, in man, brings about a Christification of many.” In other words, Sabbatai Zevi wasn’t and isn’t God, but a godly man through whom God chose to speak and act. So it’s not Sabbatai the man, but that which God revealed of Itself through that man which has any importance for us. It’s like the Shofar. The Talmud tells us that it’s the sound issuing from the shofar, and not the shofar itself, that’s holy ­ and, in fact, that the shofar itself is so profane that it can be used as a funnel to feed milk to a nursing infant. In that sense, Sabbatai Zevi was only the shofar; but what issued from him was the Sound. We follow the Sound, not the horn of a dead creature that makes it.

MA’ARIV: Do you think there is a similarity of the Sabbatean antinominism and the eastern type of Crazy Wisdom (adopted as well by western teachers) as a means of bypassing, challenging or destroying the ego?

REB YAKOV LEIB HAKOHAIN: Yes, there is. Not necessarily with the “old” Sabbatianism, but certainly very much with our NEO-Sabbatianism. It’s for that reason we call it “syncretic.” Jesus united Jew and Gentile “in his own person;” Amirah added Islam and Judaism; to that, Jacob Frank added Roman Catholicism; and finally, Neo-Sabbatianism embraces and synthesizes all those and the religions of the East as well. “On that day the Lord shall be King over all the earth; on that day, the Lord shall be One and his Name shall be one.”

MA’ARIV: How do people usually react when they hear about your revival of Sabbateanism? Is the old resentment towards Sevi still active?

REB YAKOV LEIB HAKOHAIN: Let me answer your question first with a quote from Gershom Scholem. In 1971 he wrote, “There is no longer any disagreement: The dramatic events and widespread religious revival that preceded the apostasy of Sabbatai Zevi in 1666 . . . . deserve to be studied objectively, to the exclusion of moralistic condemnations of the historical figures involved . . . [But] a true understanding of the rise of Sabbatianism will never be possible as long as scholars continue to appraise it by inappropriate standards, whether these be the conventional beliefs of our own age or the values of traditional Judaism itself.” So to answer your question: modern people whose knowledge of Sabbatianism is limited to what Scholem calls “the baseless assumptions of ‘charlatanry and ‘imposture’ which occupy so prominent a place in earlier historical literature on the subject,” people such as these are predictably less than favorable in their reactions to us. On the other hand, I’ve seen a dramatic rise in the number of Jews and non-Jews who are drawn to this spiritual revival. For example, almost 90 thousand people from every corner of the world come to our website at www.donmeh-west.com to read and listen to our Neo-Sabbatian teachings. In fact, an independent rating service ­ the “Nielsen” of cyberspace, so to speak ­ using sophisticated mathematical techniques, consistently ranks Donmeh West among the top-ten of the literally hundreds of thousands of Kabbalah websites on the internet. There are also the so-called “Chulent People,” a movement of young yeshiva-trained, formerly Charedi men and women (about whom the N.Y. Times has had at least one feature article) who are exploring alternative approaches to “Judaism” and spirituality, including, to some degree, our own Neo-Sabbatianism.

MA’ARIV: You mentioned your Turkish ancestry. What did your parents and grandparents had to say about your activities?

REB YAKOV LEIB HAKOHAIN: There isn’t much to say, really, except that my family came to the United States almost a hundred years ago from Istanbul, where their Donme surname was “Goldman.” They came to America, like so many other Donme families, to escape Sabbatianism and the always-present accusation of the Jews that they were mamzerim. They never spoke of Turkey or Sabbatai Zevi or anything else related to our background until, shortly before she died, my grandmother told me about our Turkish origins and my great-grandmother, Peli, whose picture she gave me, taken of her in Donme garb when she was 101 years old. I was, I think, 26 at the time. and from then until now I had to learn everything for myself, literally from dreams, visions and my spiritual teachers ­ particularly the great Jungian Kabbalist and direct disciple of C.G. Jung (who was, himself, an admirer of Sabbatai Zevi), the co-founder of the first Jung Institute in the United States, James Kirsch.

MA’ARIV: Finally, we understand there is an international movement under way to restore the crumbling 400 year-old birthplace of Sabbatai Zevi in Izmir, Turkey. Could you tell us something about that.

REB YAKOV LEIB HAKOHAIN: Yes. This is a project that’s very important to me and many other Ma’aminim throughout the world. Sabbatai Sevi came back into the news, in January 2007, when a crumbling three-story house in Izmir was identified as his birthplace just a few days before it was due to be demolished. Now, the house is secure, but its future is uncertain. The question arises. What should be done with it now? Should it be transformed into a museum, a research center, or tourism center or something else? A special support group has been set up on the internet for people who are interested in learning more about this project and/or helping to see it through to completion. PART II

MA’ARIV INTERVIEW WITH REB YAKOV LEIB

MA’ARIV: You have mentioned that the redemption of evil is done only by thought. this was not the case, of course with Sabbtai and even less with Frank, who followed the Jewish understanding that the deed is holy, therefore the mitvah habaa beaverah must be accordingly acted out. could you comment on that?

REB YAKOV LEIB HAKOHAIN: I didn’t mean to suggest that the only way to redeem evil is by thought; I’m only suggesting that there is another way of “acting out” the dictum of mitzvah haba b’averah. besides through the body. This is where the “neo” of Neo-Sabbatianism comes in. Let me elaborate on that with a quotation from the Zohar: “For nothing is revealed while the person is still under the spell of the body” ­ thus suggesting that a deed performed physically through the body is somehow less holy than the same deed performed spiritually through the mind because the things of the body lead to the consequences of the body, while the things of the spirit lead to the consequences of the spirit, and the consequences of the body are death and decay, while those of the spirit are union with God and life everlasting.

So, yes, our understanding, like that of Sabbatai and Frank, is that the deed itself is holy, but where we part company with them and with conventional Jewish wisdom is in our further understanding that there is more than one level on which a deed itself can be performed. What we know now that they did not know then is that a deed can be accomplished just as effectively (and perhaps even more so) on the virtual level of spirit (that is to say, in the mind) as it can be on the literal level of action (that is to say, in the body). For example, quantum-mechanics physics proposes that anything one can imagine in his mind either already exists or literally comes into existence in some parallel universe as a result of his having imagined it.In this regard, the Zohar says, “God is unknowable. No one has ever been able to identify Him. How, then, can you say: ‘Her husband is known in the Gates?’ (Prov. 31:23) when ‘her husband’ is the Blessed Holy One. But, indeed, God is known in the Gates. He is known and grasped to the degree that one opens the Gates of Imagination! The capacity to connect to the Spirit of Wisdom, to imagine in one’s heart-mind, that is how God becomes known.” In conclusion, then, as I’ve already said, a deed performed in the body leads to the consequences of the body, which are decay and death, while a deed performed in the soul leads to the consequences of the soul which are union with God and life everlasting.

MA’ARIV: Could you elaborate what kind of spiritual practice - which would be Sabbatical in essence and opposed to creed and ritual - do you teach in order that one can know God?

REB YAKOV LEIB HAKOHAIN: Given what I just said about a deed having the same or even higher consequences when acted out on the virtual as opposed to literal level, let me answer your question by saying that everything Sabbatai and Frank taught and practiced, we teach and practice also ­ but, unlike them, we teach and practice it through the Gates of Imagination rather than the gates of the body. Again, this is one of the principles that puts the “neo” into Neo-Sabbatian.

That being said, let me give you an example. According to Nanthan of Gaza, “the messiah’s soul is engulfed by the qelippah . . . [and just] as the shell appears before the core of the fruit, even so the messianic qellipah (that is, Jesus) appeared first in this world . . . . [Therefore] he that is the messiah will restore to holiness his qelippah which is Jesus Christ.” (Quoted in Gershom Scholem, “Sabbatai Sevi: The Mystical Messiah

In other words, just as Sabbatai Zevi entered into the “Maw of Satan” by converting to Islam in order to retrieve the Holy Sparks held prisoners there, so Jesus had entered into the realm of the Sitrah Achra to do the same. But since the soul of Jesus remains trapped in the Side of Darkness, the Yechidah Mashiach, of which Jesus is the qellipah, is also trapped there with him.

Now with those Sabbatian teachings in mind, our Neo-Sabbatian practice for restoring the soul of Jesus to holiness.– not to reinstate him as the messiah or as a god-man, but only to release the yechidah mashiach of which he is the qelippah ­ is to fling open the Gates of Imagination and call to him by reciting the words of the Kaddish. That is, we recite the Kaddish to him, not for him.

MA’ARIV: I suppose you are asked a lot about the sexual aspects of Sabbateanism and Frankism and if you have partially or fully followed their example?

REB YAKOV LEIB HAKOHAIN: I’ve done nothing that Sabbatai Zevi and Jacob Frank did not or would not have done, sexually as well as otherwise. Like them, however, although these strange actions of mine may have been what others would consider immoral and sacrilegious, they were never illegal, and I am neither ashamed of nor regret any of them. However, I will say this: it was largely out of those early antinomian sexual experiences that I realized that whatever is done through the body leads to death and corruption, while whatever is done through the soul ­ that is, through the Gates of Imagination ­ leads to union with God and life everlasting. It was out of those literal experiences that I realized the power of the virtual experience in all areas of the transformation of God.

Let me elaborate. It’s commonly understood that the first five commandments are “religious” while the second five are “civil.” That is, the first five deal with one’s relationships to God while the second five deal with one’s relationships to others. Given our Neo-Sabbatian view of virtual rather than literal antinomianism, we outwardly violate the religious commandments while inwardly observing them; and we outwardly observe the civil commandments while inwardly violating them. Furthermore, this violation of the civil commandants isn’t a ritual in which we go looking for sins to redeem; rather, it is only when the alien thought, as the Besht calls it, comes to us that we embrace it in order to transform it ­ and then, only through the Gate of Imagination.

MA’ARIV: About the conversions - do you encourage your students do the same?

REB YAKOV LEIB HAKOHAIN: Because the “neo” in Neo-Sabbatian emphasizes the virtual rather than the literal, because it emphasizes the Gates of Imagination rather than the Gates of the Body, I do not encourage my students to do the same as I did in my multiple conversions, although not for one moment do I regret having done it. Instead, as with almost everything else we teach and practice, I encourage them to make such conversions through the Gates of Imagination rather than the Gates of Religion ­ and even then, only for the purpose of redeeming the Holy Sparks, not for the purpose of becoming a practicing member of the religion to which they inwardly “converted.” Those familiar with the 19th century Hindu Avatar, Sri Ramakrishna, will recognize here the virtual way he “converted” to the multiple religions he followed, rather than the literal way followed by Sabbatai Zevi and Jacob Frank.

In about 2004, Adv. Landan left a thriving legal practice that he had founded in 2001 to join the ranks of KNK’s commercial law department. Adv. Adv. Lamdan has a degree in law from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Adv. Lamdan also holds a license as a private investigator under the Law of Private Investigators. Today, Adv. Lamdan is a military captain in the Israeli reserves.

I don't forget names like that (nor Ilan Yonas, who was the bureau chief for Tzipi Livni). I see he's been a most loyal vermin.
he was the one who coaxed you into a rage by escalating the situation in the hotel, only then to ask in a whisper why you were getting all worked up. i recognized that skill as so professional. it was perfectly played. also, he was the one who had tried nicely talking me out of doing the event, and he was two rows in front of me when peres came to the university and I asked him about Marek Halter and he turned white as a ghost. i'm sure they took notice of me for that and for what I asked Ezer Weizmann about at his house during an official HUJ visit. i held my own that year :) but yes...this is the guy...who was one of the major players trying to get me to cancel. and he was the guy who was doing the faux-assaults on his Meretz friends in the campus security to give them the pretext to shut the event down. THE DAY NETANYAHU USED MURDER
TO BECOME PRIME MINISTER

I asked you not to vote. But only a third agreed. So here is what is being connived for you wasting your time: The "nationalist" camp won 65 seats, while the "moderate" camp won 55 seats, including 11 Arab parties. The Jews swamped the "peace" camp. But that camp had one party that got the most votes, Kadima, and the nation's
president, Shimon "the Pieman" Peres, comes from Kadima. So, although the nationalist leader Binyamin Netanyahu could put together a government in a matter of days, the "moderate" leader Tzipi Livni will get the first shot at government-building by Peres. It's going to take a pile of bribery and blackmail but she's going to cobble together a coalition including Yisrael Beitenu, Shas, Labor, and get ready, if the fight becomes deadly enough, even their true ideological partner, the Likud.

Sounds bizarre, the loser becomes the winner? It's nothing. I was on court, front and center, for the rigging of the 1996 Israeli elections by Netanyahu. Now follow closely, I rarely have the opportunity to be nostalgic.
On April 3, 1997, I was supposed to lecture at Hebrew University on Who Murdered Yitzhak Rabin, organized by my still formidable friend, Brian Bunn. As it turned out, the Labor Party led by Knesset member Eitan Cabel, and the secret service, Shabak, organized a violent rally against me that turned me into front page news. The intent was to humiliate me, the result was to start my new career as a political crimes writer. Not that I'm thanking them. They didn't mean to and it's an insecure life. Not that there aren't rewards, like you reading this.

The morning after the riot, I received a phone call from Yaacov Mor. He introduced himself as, "The economist for the Minister of Welfare And Social Affairs, Eli Yishai." Today Yishai is the leader of the Shas Party. Mor continued, "But I previously worked for the Shabak. What I want to know is what you have that made the Shabak try to bury you."
So I invited Mor to my home to see my evidence. Back then I had some 80 documents, not the 2500 I ended up with, but they were devastating in proving Yigal Amir did not shoot Rabin. I had the police ballistics results showing that Rabin was shot at point blank, something Amir could not have physically done, and I had the hospital reports declaring that Rabin was shot 3 times, and once from the front, neither of which Amir was responsible for.
Yaacov was a naturally sympathetic fellow, and without hesitation I handed him my evidence collection, which he read in silence over the next half hour. When he finished, he put his right index finger vertically over his lips and used his left hand to guide me outside. When we reached the street, he said, "I'm not talking in your house. You have to be thoroughly bugged. Do you know those documents are authentic?"

I said I did.

"Then why didn't you get a job in Nepal or have an 'accident?' Do you know how high up this murder had to go?"
I answered that I did know how high up it had to go.

"I'll tell my Minister what I saw and I'm sure he'll contact you."

The next morning Eli Yishai's secretary called me. "Minister Yishai would like to have your documents and in return, will give you the most important story of the Rabin assassination. Do you agree?"

Indeed I did. In fact, I would have given the documents anyway, that's how much I still believed in the inherent honesty of the political system. That would change for good in the next two days.

Bright and chipper, Yaacov picked me up for the cheery ride to building Kirya 3, opposite the Knesset, and home to Eli Yishai's office. I made a little error, giving my documents to the secretary before I closed the deal. She guided me into a small office, closed the door, and I heard a vigorous conversation in the hall outside. Finally, the Shas Spokesman, Yisrael Sudri, then 24 or so, and today I believe he holds the same job, came in, shut the door behind him and sat down.
"The Minister could not attend the meeting," he announced, "But he wants you to know that he backs every claim I will make."
A bit of a comedown but I accepted the arrangement, like I really had a choice.
"It's about the 1996 elections...Netanyahu didn't win. Peres won by 3% just like all the polls had it. But the Likud had documents, and we think you've collected some of them. We're sure of it, actually. In February of '96, the leaders of the Likud met the leaders of Labor for a frank discussion of the elections. The Likud presented the documents, then someone, we think Netanyahu, held a few in his hand and said, 'If you bring up the name of Yitzhak Rabin even once in your campaign, we'll release these to the media." Netanyahu lifted another bundle of documents and said, 'If Peres wins our tv debate, we'll release these." Finally, he takes all the documents and says, "And if Peres wins the elections, we'll release them all."

"Now, I don't have to remind you that Rabin's name was not mentioned once in Labor's campaign and that Peres looked like a scary monster on the tv debate. But how could the election results be faked? We are going to leave you the name and phone number of a Tel Aviv law school PhD candidate. His thesis is on the '96 elections. He'll tell you."
I arranged to meet the PhD lawyer-to-be at a very empty and remote Tel Aviv restaurant. We sat in the remotest table and he made his voice inaudible at a range of five meters, in fact he almost whispered the whole meeting. It turns out, it didn't help.

"This Labor-Likud partnership destroyed over 160,000 votes for Peres, and replaced them with spoiled ballots."
Back to the present. That's almost 5% of the vote spoiled. In the 2000 elections, there was a highly publicized campaign to deliberately spoil votes as a protest, and 'only' 61,000 were spoiled.

"Think back to the election night. Peres is declared the winner by all the polls but refused to address and thank his crowd in Tel Aviv. But at midnight, a smiling Netanyahu addressed a half empty rally in Jerusalem promising them that by morning he will be Prime Minister. Then at 2 AM, the revolution in vote change appears out of nowhere. By the morning, Netanyahu wins. He knew the results were fixed."

I added an obvious thought. "So the Likud's documents proved Peres murdered Rabin?"

He gazed at the table and answered, "Is there another possibility?"

The lawyer-to-be added, "I trust you. I have strong proof that the vote destruction was organized by Interior Minister Chaim Ramon. Contact me tomorrow and we'll meet again to see my thesis."

The next day, he called me. "I got a phone call. We can't meet." I asked, "Do you mean today?" He replied, "I mean ever." He banged down for good and I don't recall his name.
But I told his story to audiences whenever I felt it was appropriate. The usual reaction was, "So why didn't Netanyahu use the documents to get rid of Peres and Labor for good?" The answer is Labor and Peres have enough information on Netanyahu to have made this a one election deal. That'll do until and if the whole story is ever told by someone who was there.
Then, in Bet Shemesh in 2001, I told the story to a crowd of over 80 and one response hit the jackpot. The man added, "I was an election poll supervisor and when the polls closed, we took votes for Peres out of the boxes and burnt them out back. We replaced them with spoiled votes and resealed the boxes. I never understood who allowed this to happen, but I didn't want Peres elected so I played ball."

As for story back-up, my Bet Shemesh organizer was David Morris. Another 80 people heard the truth about this man's polling station at the lecture. As for Sudri, I chose to expose him after he appeared at Peres' 80th birthday bash. I was protesting outside when he appeared. I told him, "How could you celebrate Peres? I know what you told me?" He
walked by, then turned around and shouted, "You're ruining the country."

So when I suggest that voting props up a political system run by murderers and their aiders and abetters, recall that as Shimon Peres gives Tzipi Livni the nod to form a coalition including Eli Yishai's Shas Party. But if Netanyahu is somehow given the first shot, recall that he still holds the big cards on Peres.

ISRAEL TO ELECT SUPER CROOKS

According to all polls, Israelis will elect the Likud to power with number two party and coalition partner about to be Israel Beitenu, led by super crook Avigdor Liebeman. He was intimately tied to international money laundering at the defunct Jericho Casino through his intimate ties to owner Martin Schlaff. Without rehashing the ugly affair, those who remember will recall:

Tonight, in Vienna, some of the heroes of this affair, and of the next one, will meet at the huge bat-mitzvah celebration of Martin Schlaff’s granddaughter. Dov Weisglass, Schlaff’s old friend and lawyer will be there. Haim Ramon, another close friend, will also attend. There will be many others. Some of them from amongst the political, social, and economic elite of Israel. Avigdor Lieberman, for example. No one is embarrassed by it. Some are even proud of it. In another time, another place, one could consider it collusion, coordinating testimonies. After all, Schlaff’s name has recently been tied in to that other affair: “the Cyril Kern affair”. Schlaff, in case you’ve forgotten, is one of the owners of the casino in Jericho.

Those who do actually recall, well remember that Yasir Arafat's cut in the gambling joint was handled by his financier, Muhammad Rachid, the same crook who planted $300m of money stolen from the Palestinian Authority by Arafat in a secret Swiss bank account. And with the encouragement of mega-thief Rachid, look what "right-winger" Lieberman promised the enemy of Israel:

Lieberman Backed Full Withdrawal

In a new book, former US Ambassador to Israel Martin Indyk has dropped a potential political bombshell, revealing that Avigdor Lieberman, head of the Yisrael Beitenu party, once held secret talks on territorial concessions to the Palestinian Authority (PA) with one of Yasser Arafat's key advisers.
In addition, Indyk asserts that Lieberman told his PA interlocutor, Muhammad Rachid, that he was prepared to accept the wide-ranging concessions which then-Prime Minister Ehud Barak had offered to Arafat at the 2000 Camp David Summit.

These included the division of Jerusalem, an Israeli withdrawal from over 95 percent of Judea and Samaria, and a dilution of Israeli sovereignty over the Temple Mount, Judaism's holiest site.
The disclosures are contained in a memoir penned by Indyk, who served two stints as America's envoy to Jerusalem during the Clinton administration.

Page 375 of Indyk's book: "Lieberman had indicated that the broad outlines of Barak's territorial offer [at Camp would be acceptable..."

The 500-page book, entitled, "Innocent Abroad: An Intimate Account of American Peace Diplomacy," provides an insider's view of the workings of the peace process, including a look at the failed Camp David talks which were convened in the waning days of Bill Clinton's presidency.

On page 375 of the book, Indyk writes that, "After Camp David, with Arafat's approval, Rachid had initiated a dialogue with Avigdor Lieberman, the leader of Yisrael Beitenu, the right-wing Russian immigrant party." He notes that, "According to Rachid's account, Lieberman had indicated that the broad outlines of Barak's territorial offer would be acceptable to the national (right-wing) bloc."

Indyk's revelations could prove damaging to Lieberman, whose party is soaring in the polls in advance of Israel's February 10 elections, thanks in large part to his nationalist image among the public.
Irene Etinger, Avigdor Lieberman's spokeswoman, commented on Indyk's claim, "The facts quoted in the book are not true."
Political observers suggest that Lieberman and his party are now likely to come under increased scrutiny in the wake of Indyk's book, particularly in light of Lieberman's past statements on the issue of Jerusalem.
As Israel National News reported previously, in October 2007 Lieberman came under fire for suggesting at a cabinet meeting that Israel should divide Jerusalem and transfer various neighborhoods within the city to PA control.

Ultra-nationalist activist Avigdor Eskin, meanwhile, remembers meeting Lieberman at Kahane's office on Ussishkin Street in Jerusalem. "I remember this very well, because I arrived there one day after I immigrated to Israel in 1979," he said.

Eskin came to public attention for having boasted of holding a pulsa dinura ceremony prior to 1995 assassination of prime minister Yitzhak Rabin. The ceremony, believed to be of kabbalistic origin, is aimed at conferring a death curse on the subject.

"Kahane saw him as a good guy. I also thought back then that he was not a Kach man ideologically, unless the only measure of this is the question of whether you like Arabs. According to what I remember, he handed out the movements' publications among its small student group in the Hebrew University," Eskin said.

So, once again Israelis will give go to the polls and give Lieberman the second most votes, with the ideological backing of this felon:

In October 1995, on the eve of Yom Kippur, the Jewish day of atonement, a group of Israelis led by Avigdor Eskin gathered outside the home of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. Wrapped in prayer shawls, they intoned the ancient Aramaic chant Pulsa da-Nura ("Lashes of Fire"), a Kabbalistic curse: "I deliver to you, the angels of wrath and ire, Yitzhak, the son of Rosa Rabin, that you may smother him and the specter of him, and cast him into bed, and dry up his wealth, and plague his thoughts, and scatter his mind that he may be steadily diminished until he reaches his death. Put to death the cursed Yitzhak. May be damned, damned, damned!" After Rabin's assassination one month later - as Israel and the world mourned a great statesman - Eskin boasted of his prowess on Israeli television. The curse worked.

And when I hear that a person like Avigdor Eskin, whom I have been closely following ever since the assassination, was run by the G.S.S. (General Security Services), this arouses in me thoughts and wondering, and things arise. Such things arouse the doubt in me again and again.

It doesn't have to be Lieberman. Israelis think by supporting any nationalist party, new or old, that they will get a change of government. It doesn't matter how many disappointments they've suffered in the past, they forget the quick corruption that these parties automatically undergo once elected, and they keep voting for hopeless hope. If you vote, you support corruption, crime, more contraction of the land, the division of the capital, and the eventual and deadly end of Israel. But the suckers will line up to vote once again.

No responsible Israeli who cares about his nation should vote. It supports a political system run on criminal rot. But watch the suckers as they vote for the party of their delusions, believing they were good citizens. Needless to say, they will get what they deserve.

This writer must be getting old. The energy is fast dissipating. My hair is fading from red to gray. I can barely chew a peach. And the news is all old. I found the right perspective at the peak of my intellectual powers, and nothing has changed other than my desire to search for any new truth that may still be out there.

Now may I can ask; what connection does Gaza have with peace on the Golan? What is Olmert mumbling about? Worse, Pres. B. Assad of Syria responded within two days of his mumbles, telling a Lebanese newspaper that he is ready to negotiate peace, "even with Netanyahu." Meaning, more great news for Israel in the next government. And as for Israel; it's prepared to buy the Golan from Syria.

The old writer's memory kicks in and he's back to the mid-90s when he earned most of his income writing for trade magazines. I was glancing through the real estate pages of the Hebrew newspaper, Globes, when I saw a small item about a little deed Israel owns. It seems that the French Rothschild family, in the late nineteenth century, purchased 20,000 acres in the Golan Heights and in nearby Syria. The deed was later transferred to the real estate arm of Israel, the Jewish National Fund.

I immediately saw the historic diplomatic significance of the item and called my PR source at the JNF. Back then I wrote for a few of the world's biggest water industry journals and the JNF were very pleased with my prominent articles. So I took the liberty of asking my source to photocopy this Syrian land deed for my next story. She promised to call me back and when she did, it was with a request to meet with the spokesman for the JNF.

One can only imagine the extravagant office the head of an agency collecting hundreds of millions of dollars annually must be; the Georgian furniture, tasteful 18th century Flemish art, rare Middle Eastern carpets. Well, forget it, this was Israel. The only art were hoaky JNF redeem the land posters and the furniture was an old desk and the same chairs as in the reception area. The impression of the office has withstood the ravages of the writer's memory.
As did what the spokesman told me. "We can't give you a photocopy of the deed. The government sequestered it. And, off the record, I'm asking you not to remind your readers about the matter."

"Is that your idea?" I asked.

"Between us, no. My superiors consider this a very sensitive subject."
"Then you realize that the JNF owns proof that Israel owns a good chunk of Syria and we could negotiate with the Syrians with a pat hand?"
"Owned. The proof was removed. And don't ask me the ways of diplomacy. This is the one JNF issue that we are banned from publicizing."

Now here is something to tickle the dying sense of humor of any old bard. It's so much harder to get a good laugh these days. The dictator of Libya, Muamar Qaddafi, was ordered to assume credit for a NY Times Op-Ed. Within, the real authors note that there "definitely" was a Holocaust, so the Jews have an equal claim to Israel as the Arabs.

Qaddafi's thoughts alright!The old grey matter kicks in again. In the late 80s sometime, you look it up, I'm too overworked, Yasir Arafat's plane crashed in Libya, and Qaddafi allowed the US Air Force to go looking for him. I told you. Don't ask why. You think I know everything? Or even anything? They just did, okay?

The Americans rescued Arafat alive and he was transferred to a military hospital where he, "underwent extensive neurological care." Afterward he was unleashed on the world. I told you, I'm not making this up. It really happened.

The movement to liberate Jonathan Pollard was as hilarious as ever this month. They actually petitioned outgoing Pres. Bush to pardon him. They claimed to have clogged the White House switchboard. When it was over, the ancient scribe received this note circulating in the free Pollard world.

Sabbatain Leader?

Several Iranian media sources are quoting Mahdi Khazali – the son of a leading supporter of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad – as having written in a blog that the president has Jewish roots. So reports the Hebrew-language Omedia website and Radio Free Europe.

Khazali, son of Ayatollah Abu Al-Kassam Khazali, says that Ahmadinejad changed his Jewish name on his ID card in order to hide his roots. Khazali the son says that the president hides his Jewish roots by attacking Israel and the Jews, and by expressing strong Muslim religious beliefs.

A record of the name change still appears on the president’s ID card, however, says Khazali. His old name was Saburjian, and he hails from the Aradan region of Iran. The accusations appear in an article Khazali wrote entitled, “The Jews in Iran.” He says the time has come to “reveal the truth” about the Jews’ role in Iran.

Ahmadinejad's relatives once told the British paper "The Guardian" that the family had changed its name for "a mixture of religious and economic reasons."

ISRAEL LOSES and How It Could Have Been Different

Such a waste of lives, property and dignity, just to pave the way for the next and bigger waste of lives, property and dignity over Gaza.

Condeleeza Rice forced a ceasefire down Israel's throat, co-signed by Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Britain and the EU...the usual gang of warmongers. This, as the IDF was poised to rid the world of Hamas and bring in Fatah to rule Gaza. It's heads or tails anyway you look at it. But for this fight, Israel had the quiet, jubilant backing of Egypt, Fatah and the ruling establishment of much of the Arab world. It won't ever be this good diplomatically again.

Knowing that the government was about to betray the south of the country, and its bravest soldiers who saw comrades fall for nothing, as usual, an atrocity was launched to immediately change public opinion. In the spirit of the shadow government's slaughter of Arabs in 1994 to push along the withdrawal from Hebron, another Arab was chosen as the object of the Israeli people's instinctive pity. A Gazan surgeon who works in Israel, Dr.Izzeldin Abublaish, had his home targeted by an Israeli tank, losing three daughters, and the hideous scene was reported seconds later by the grieving, shocked doctor by cellphone to TV Channel Ten's reporter Shlomi Eldar.

And if you think this ghastly massacre wasn't planned, then you don't know the psychological warfare the Israeli government and media play with the people.

Now with Israel pulling out, Hamas will tell its people they won. And God save anyone who disagrees.The little bully Hamas will shout that Israel cheated. They played dirty. And the mean old Americans backed them up, thus, we stood up to the greatest fighters on earth. Therefore, we are the bravest of them all.

(He said we were hiding all through the fighting. That's slander. Behead him.)

But bigmouth Hamas knows he was overpowered and he's already preparing to bring bigger kids with him next time. But first, a little body-building course is called for. And someday the pipsqueak boaster is going to grow up and he's going to be bigger than Israel. And Israel will regret not finishing him off when they had their chance. But Israel chickened out and it will eventually pay for it.
For now, Israel is going to learn that mass destruction isn't winning. That 1400 enemy bodies isn't winning. Only victory is winning.
This is in stark contrast to the war I fought in, the Lebanon War of 1982. Then, the government stated the war's goal was to remove the PLO from the region. To do so, at great cost, it entered Beirut and surrounded the PLO's neighborhoods. It took almost two months but the PLO were forced onto ships out of Lebanon.

To prevent loss of life, the IDF showered a targeted neighborhood with leaflets offering a choice; the PLO surrenders within 24 hours and comes out with its arms in the air, or your neighborhood will be destroyed, including, if need be, by carpet bombing. Innocents were told where to gather safely. It was up to the PLO to save the neighborhood by complying with Israel's terms. There was no room for negotiation. It was unconditional surrender or continuing war.
It was a nasty strategy interspersed with utilities cutoffs and the like, but this was a war of survival and Israel won it. And if Israelis with a different agenda hadn't shoved the Oslo war accord down the country's throat a decade later, this latest bloodbath would never have occurred.

In this invasion Israel should have offered as a first condition; bring us Gilad Shalit, or more likely, his remains, to our lines within 24 hours or face our wrath. That is war with a purpose. The only purpose of the latest invasion was to prepare for the next one. And I have a fair idea when it will come.

Few bothered to notice, but in the twenty days of the Gazan operation, it only rained once, and barely. By joining Jordan and the PA with Israel's water grid in the name of peace, the Kinneret and the artesian wells which served Israel well for 60+ years, in drought and plenty, are all but used up. Come summer, the next fight will be over a glass of water.

Barry, I can't believe how you are capable of dealing nicely with these idiots. You see these nonsensical arguments coming a mile away, and behave in the most noble manner imaginable. I suspect that in the same situation I would have almost no power to control myself: I would be compelled, each time, to stop the inquisitor, and dissect the perfect nonsense inside the structure of the comments directed at me, or refuse to move on. You never do that. I truly admire your ability to sweep all that aside, and find the best way to graciously make a valid point that somehow pertains to the original idiocy--as if the idiots were worthy of talking to begin with.

You know, I had no idea what you are up against until I listened to this pure stupidity, Barry. Dr. Stan might have tons of annoying, unexpected, breaks that Stan is not too skilled at preparing you for (your patience with that, I must say, has improved over the years). But that's the worst of it on that show, for you. He wants to understand your perspective, is never hostile, and his callers are pretty much the same.

You handled this with as much graciousness as can humanly be imagined.

I'm sickened. How do you do it? None of these people wanted to understand. It was a sickening gang-up, filled with personal attacks. No respect for your perspective. It's like you found yourself in the midst of a crowd of strangers, who for some strange reason ganged up on you--like a skinny kid circled by bullies. But you never let them win, because you know who you are, and even though you can't "fix" their psychological infirmities, you can maintain an atmosphere of dignity in the midst of nonsensical insanity.

I hope I can grow up to be just like you. I'm only 49, so there is still hope.

HELLO GAZA - WE'RE BACK

America's Jews are doing nothing to stand up for Israel in its war in Gaza. While Hamas can gather crowds in the thousands worldwide to protest the invasion, American Jews do nothing to publicly stand with Israel. I mean nothing. Nada. Bubkis. Kloom. Gournischt. And I think I have a clue why.

If anyone with power had ever been affected by the book, Israel would have nipped the Gazan killing machine in the bud years ago, Jews wouldn't have been removed from Gush Katif,

Israelis could sleep at night without worrying that their family could be annihilated by missiles, and the Israeli army wouldn't have to kill by the bushel to legitimately secure their nation.

And as this war continues and as hundreds of thousands of Israelis cower before rockets, without credit, my thoughts about this war, in two cases my writing word for word, are being published by the mainstream Israeli media.  ie Who but me has been harping for years about Defence Minister Ehud Barak's deliberate murder of religious Jews during the Lebanon War of 1982? Now, with wartime journalism letting the anger of Israelis actually reveal itself, my oft-reviled thinking is rearing its accurate head:

On the way up, Barak was in command of soldiers fighting in Lebanon a quarter century ago. One group of soldiers he commanded was a unit of religiously observant Jews. He had them advance into the pass near Sultan Yukub, where Arab forces were waiting to ambush them, and where 23 of our kids died as a result. It is widely believed that he knew of the presence of the Arab soldiers and was willing to see religious Jews die - that way they could not father kids who would vote against someone like Barak - or vote against Barak themselves.

Of American Jews

One night a few weeks ago, I watched a tv game show called Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader. That night, a kippa-wearing rabbi was a contestant, so I paid special attention to the game. I had previously seen numerous Christian clergy and lay people play for their causes and now it was the Jews' turn to play for our charities. But when the host asked Rabbi Rick Brody what he would do with his winnings, he answered, "I'm going to buy a hybrid car." The host was not expecting such a selfish wish, so he asked the same question again. This time the rabbi answered, "I'm going to take my family to Israel." The host did NOT like this egocentric answer and again asked, "What else will you do with your winnings?" Finally the rabbi replied that, with presumably the remaining cash, he'd use it for his synagogue."

I cringed in shame, literally, really, cringed. Did all of America have to witness this display of rabbinic greed? I wondered how many people saw this rabbi putting personal material gain over his theological obligations and thought, Bernard Maidoff.

As the game progressed, things only deteriorated. The rabbi's egomania was so obvious, that he entered his answers before the host could explain the rules to him, and more important still, to his viewers. It all caught up with the rabbi when he lost $150,000 by pressing the answer button just before the host was going to explain that he had the option of taking the money if he didn't answer. The humiliated rabbi left the show with not enough after taxes to get his hybrid. Ah, the impoverished rabbis of America!

I switched channels assuming I'd never think about the show again. But my existence is never so straight forward. The next day a reader named Batya called me from West Covina, CA, and talked about her rabbi embarrassing himself on a game show. Her take was divine revenge for arrogance. On Yom Kippur, she walked out of his services when Rabbi Brody used the holiest day of the Jewish calendar to boast that he was going to conduct a homosexual marriage in his synagogue. To Batya, using Yom Kippur to brag about disobeying a Torah commandment all caught up with him on the game show.

Whether this was a case of God putting a stop to an immoral hybrid sale or not, I had the website of the rabbi's synagogue and I wrote the board expressing my belief that their rabbi was a symptom of all that is wrong with Conservative Judaism, why it no longer attracts the children of the members to their synagogues, and why American Jews have lost their moral ways to materialism. I received two replies, but the one from board member Sol Pavlovsky was vicious, ending with, my thinking will cause another Holocaust.

I have tried to stimulate the Jews of America to think differently about Israel, but only the Orthodox have invited me to their synagogues to lecture. The other 5/6 of American Jewry will fight to their last breath for their lifestyle choices. And ultimately, forgetting their silly fundraisers, they will defend only themselves.

Israel, in the terrifying criminal mess it's in, be damned.

In foreign affairs things are never as they seem. In the current Israel-Gaza conflict, it isn’t as simple as “they fired
rockets at Israel and Israel is attacking in self-defense.” The larger question is how did those thousands of rockets get
into Gaza—an enclave supposedly cut off from all the world by rigorous checkpoints? Yes, some crude short range
rockets are built inside Gaza, but all the parts and explosives have to be brought in, as well as the larger, medium range rockets of Russia design, now being manufactured in North Korea, Iran and around the world. All these weapons are imported through a myriad of tunnels that run under the Egyptian-Gaza border. Egypt knows this and looks the
other way. Israeli intelligence also has eyes and ears all over Gaza and knows this too, but doesn’t act until it’s too
late. Why? To understand what’s really going on inside Israel, Gaza, the West Bank and the whole Middle East, you
have to understand the secret back room deals that the US and Israel have made with the various Palestinian factions.
You have to see who is funding and backing the belligerents, and who has the real power to call the shots.
We will never know all that is going on behind the scenes but this week I’ll help you sort out the fact from the fiction.
First, some background: I’ve delayed covering the Israeli-

Palestinian conflict in any detail because it is so convoluted and complex. Now that we have a major flare up going on in Gaza, it’s time to set the record straight—not an easy task.

Sorting out all the details would take several books. I only have the space to give my readers an overview.
There are two major opposing points of view on Israel floating around America, neither of which is fully true.
Each uses part of the truth to cover for numerous distortions.

The most prominent is the establishment point of view adhered to by all the major US Israeli lobbies, and the most
conservative Christian Churches, especially the megaministries run by John Hagee and Rick Warren and others—
that Israel is fulfilling God’s Biblical mandate as a homeland for the Jews and is only acting in self-defense
against Arab attacks—and is therefore worthy of our unconditional support.

The second view holds that the entire creation of Israel was a Zionist plot and that those same Zionist Jews have used
ignorant Christian support to help conspiring Jews to gain control over all Western governments, which now threatens
the freedom of the entire world. Naturally, the various pro- Israeli and Christian lobbies label this view as
conspiratorial, extremist and anti-Semitic.

The first PRO-ISRAEL view errs NOT in its allegiance to the Bible’s prophetic mandate for a homeland for Israel, but
in viewing the government of Israel as the legitimate implementation of that divine mandate. It is not. In fact,
honest Jewish and Christian supporters of Israel have been deceived about this, just as American conservatives were
deceived into believing that George W. Bush was a Christian and conservative. In point of fact, the various
governments of Israel since Menachem Begin have only been playing the role of “Israel first.” Begin was the last of
the Israeli Prime Ministers actually fighting for Israel’s interests. Each subsequent Israeli government, even though
falsely labeled as “right wing” has made many secret agreements with Yasser Arafat and other terrorists and have
entered into conspiratorial combinations with various globalists forces in Europe and America to undermine
Israel’s security and set her up for an international takeover.

The Vatican has also played a role in these behind the scenes plots to further international control, as a means of
securing its vested interests to claimed historical property.

The Second ZIONIST view and its errors are more complex to explain. This view rightly makes the case that there is a
conspiracy involved in all of this, but it fails to recognize that it is more complex than a simple Jewish conspiracy for
power. That claim doesn’t even come close to explaining the historical origins of the Marxist Jews who started this
nor the allegiance of those running the current crisis. There are two forms of Zionism, almost diametrically opposed to
one another—a) the original Torah based religious fervor,

longing for a homeland (proper and non-violent)—and (b) the hijacked Marxist version of Zionism (violent and
predatory) that dominated the early Zionist leaders who actually had power in Israel during the 1948 war for
independence.

That Marxist version of Zionism was later hijacked by the NWO globalists, so this wasn’t a purely Jewish conspiracy
at all, even though there have been many Jews involved at various levels. These Jews did not join nor conspire
because of their Jewishness, nor because they cared a whit about Jewish religion (most are atheists and despise
orthodoxy Judaism). They are brought into the globalist halls of secret power because they are smart and ruthless
hirelings that naturally gravitate to the centers of finance and world power. These have no allegiance whatsoever to
any Godly mandate for the land of Israel. One need only observe their constant betrayal of Israel’s religious
settlers—the beleaguered minority of honest religious Jews—to see their true colors. I’m not talking about the
orthodox religious parties like Shas whose leaders are not honest and that betray the principles of the Torah. These
WEEKLY PRINT EDITION JANUARY 2, 2009 religious leaders have become corrupted by making one deal
after another with corrupt coalition governments in exchange for financial support—mostly of their religious
schools.

It is my considered opinion that Jews represent only a minority of the very top leaders (which, except for the
Rothschilds, are hidden from public view). They do predominate, however, at the second level, because they are
such effective handlers of puppet presidents and kings— Henry Kissinger being one of the prime examples.
Israel is being supported unconditionally by the globalists because it is an engine for conflict creation, and because
America’s knee-jerk sense of defense for Israel effectively guarantees monetary and military support for Israel no
matter how egregious its crimes against civilians. Israel is also a major source of black operations through its
Mossad—whether that be targeted assassinations of world leaders, or black arms shipments to controlled terrorists
around the world. There is a seamless relationship between our CIA and the Mossad. The Mossad often does the CIA’s
dirty work so that if caught the US has “plausible deniability.” Israel is also used as a back channel to funnel
sophisticated weapons technology to the West’s future enemies like Russia and China.

That is why, when you see inside the secret deals they have been making with the Arab factions and leaders, there is no intent to ever have peace—only the continuation of secret monetary and military support for the most radical elements of the Moslem Brotherhood. These deals are recipes for conflict and will never lead to peace. In fact, it is the
continual lack of peace that drives the useless concessions that Israel keeps making.

The media plays a very special role on both sides of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It always gives positive
coverage to the peace initiatives of the international community, especially the Camp David variety—lots of
show, but filled with secret deals the public is never allowed to see. The media also appears to be acting contrary to
Israel by always playing up the amount of civilian damage Israel commits upon innocent Palestinians during their
retaliatory attacks in Gaza or the West Bank. This is done in part because the media can’t get access to Palestinian
areas unless they play the pro-Palestinian role. But its real purpose is to keep the opposing forces somewhat balanced
so that violence in the Middle East rises like a never-ending crescendo. That’s the real reason why the US always gives
an equal amount of foreign aid to Israel’s enemies in Egypt as it does to Israel.

International intrigue has always made the conflict worse. For much of their history together, common Israelis and
Palestinians have traded amicably with each other and got along fairly well together. But now, due to constant and
heavy-handed crackdowns by the Israeli government and their adoption of US style air power attacks, which destroys
a lot of property and kills or wounds hundreds of civilians, Arab hostility toward everything Israeli is at a fever pitch.
This growing hostility is easily exacerbated by radical Arab propagandists in schools and on television, but the real
culprit are the Arab and Israeli leaders who are both fronting for larger conspirators who have anything but peace on their mind.

Historically, the Arabs have been funded, trained and controlled by the Russians—who still have a strong
presence in Syria, Egypt, and Iran. But now placing the blame is not so clear cut. The US and British globalist
governments play both sides of the street. They fund terrorism and fight terror (half-heartedly) so as to ensure
there are plenty of excuses to intervene and control other nations and the Israeli and US populations. Even now,
Arabs are still being armed and funded by Russia using its surrogates in Egypt and Syria. That is why Hamas has been
able to maintain its arms pipeline through its tunnel system on the Egyptian Gaza border. These are not crawling type
tunnels, but tunnels big enough to drive trucks through. Don’t be deceived by the appearance of a crackdown by
Egyptian police on Gaza protestors. This is merely a token show of force to make it appear as if Egypt is not complicit
in preserving these tunnels.

The US and Israel also tolerate this black market arms traffic—as well as the normal smuggling of food, and
household goods that is typical of a restricted border area. The US and Israelis also ship arms and ammunition directly
to “police” forces in Gaza and the West Bank during periods of truce—and the public wonders why terror never stops.
The Israelis lie to their people about everything. They say they don’t negotiate with terror when they do all the time.
They say they never release prisoners for hostages, but they do by the hundreds. They even have betrayed their own
soldiers to Arab ambushes or attacks in order to justify larger wars. The Israelis set up Yasser Arafat’s secret bank
accounts in Switzerland (through Marc Rich and others). One of the reasons the globalists never do root out terrorism
in Gaza is that it leaves the world with a continual expectation that Israel should make some new concession to
achieve peace. That’s been the rationale for all the latest releases of prisoners. But, most of these prisoners just go
back into the ranks of the Hamas fighters.

The US trains Palestinians in the US in ways that defy reason—unless you understand the globalist conflict
creation motives. Security forces from Palestine have been given terrorist training by the CIA (under the false guise of
“counter-terror”) at their so-called “farm” in Virginia. But how is teaching Palestinian security forces the nuances of
bomb building and detonation a counter-terrorist exercise? It can go both ways, and it always goes toward terror—not
counter-terror. This CIA relationship began in earnest during the secret accords of the Oslo agreement back in the
1990s and have continued after every temporary “peace deal” brokered by the Israeli government, with collusion of
the US.

A Note on Sources: Barry Chamish is one of the best sources for private intel on Israel. He is Jewish and now
lives in America out of fear for his life in Israel. Debka.com is another, though you have to be careful with Debka. Giora
Shamis, Debka’s principal and publisher told me he gets almost all his information from government sources and
doesn’t always have the resources to check them out. Thus, a fairly good percentage of his specific tips and projections
don’t come true or are wrong. He is, I believe, on the side of Israel and provides some useful analysis from time to
time.

Barry Chamish is much more savvy overall because he understands the globalist conspiracy and the complete
corruption of all the major political parties in the Knesset. He isn’t afraid to talk about it either. Chamish, because of
his courageous effort to alert the Israeli people to the government’s role in the assassination of PM Yitzak Rabin,
is often the recipient of whistleblower information out of Israel. He takes it with a grain of salt, and always checks it
against everything else he knows. I’ve known Chamish for years and generally trust his gut feelings when he feels like
something has the ring of truth. Here is a recent sampling [my comments and clarifications in brackets].

“In the late '90s, my work on the Rabin murder was a serious discussion topic in certain circles in Israel. One
night I was at a very sabra [Second generation Israelis who fought in the ‘48 war of Independence] party in Jerusalem
when a man in his thirties, well wined_up, started a conversation with me. He claimed he worked for
Intelligence...the gentleman continued with a story he claimed to have partially witnessed that made perfect sense. It concerned Defense Minister Rabin in the late '80s:

"Rabin wanted Israel out of Lebanon [because of secret US pressure–knowing that getting Israel out of South Lebanon
would make Israel much more vulnerable to future rocket attacks by Hizbullah, for conflict creation purposes] but the
Lebanese government was too unstable to cut an agreement with. The Shiites under Hezbullah were forcing Israel out of Lebanon with a very demoralizing murder campaign against the army and he had to deal with them to make any
agreement stick. He insisted on a thin security zone along the border to prevent [no--provide some tiny buffer] armed
attacks on Israeli territory, but he was willing to pull out of the rest of the country. But his zone was no good against
Katyusha rockets or artillery shells flying over it [which is precisely what happened in the 2007 war with Hezbullah].
"’He ended up with a secret deal with Hezbullah and pulled out of Lebanon in stages to test whether they'd keep it.
Rabin realized he couldn't demand a full cessation of rocket or artillery attacks against Israel. But he could make them
more acceptable if there was only one target, that being Kiryat Shmoneh.’

“To guide the unacquainted. You drive north from Tiberius, which is below sea level and climb a steep road. You look
back and see the the Puddle Of Galilee [because the Israeli government stupidly gave up water rights from border
mountains that feed the lake] and imagine the day you can finally walk across the whole lake, perhaps in five or six
years. You now have reached the top of the climb and you turn right. You pass the lovely Bohemian_style town of
Rosh Pina, the famous archeological site of Tel Khatzor until you finally arrive at a town of 15,000, resting on a
mountain, Kiryat Shmoneh.

“‘Kiryat Shmoneh is 90% Sephardi and 85% of them are Moroccan. To the establishment, that made the town
expendable. As Defense Minister, Rabin's first duty was to protect the Ashkenazi Labor/ left kibbutzim [the Kibbutzim
were a product of the original Marxist Jews who led Israel in the 1920-1940s. The predatory labor monopoly of
Histradrut is also a relic of this era] around Kiryat Shmoneh, and the Ashkenazi towns along the border. If you
want to know the safest places to live in the country they are Metulla, Rosh HaNikra, or Naharia. Rabin's deal means
Hezbullah won't touch them.’[note how these agreements are a combination of elements that help Rabin to sell it to
the pro-defense elements of his government, and yet effectively gut any real security. Thus, when Hezbullah
finally decided the time was ripe for an attack, Israel is always vulnerable].

“Call it a one, albeit likely, source, or call it rumor mongering, but this item spread throughout the country. I
met the most unlikely people espousing it back to me. It caught on because it fits reality so perfectly [That’s
Chamish checking to see if it matches all the other intel he receives plus the actual history of what happened later—
and it does match]. In fact, Hezbullah kept its word for almost 20 years until the second Lebanon War broke out in
2006 [when the Russians via the Iranians and Syrians gave Hezbullah the permission to start the war].

That said, another rumor has arrived, from a likely source. Temporarily gone are the days when I could meet Israelis at
parties or they could meet me anywhere with information. For the time being, I rely mostly on electricity for anyone to
communicate with me [Because Chamish had to flee to America to avoid the regular efforts of Israeli black operations to get him involved in an “accident.”]. I quote [Note that Chamish’s source rarely understand the full import or the conspiratorial issues involved in what they tell him]: "’...Sharon thought the PA would keep the peace in Gaza after he evacuated the Jews from there [Not at all. Sharon was a globalist conspirator and knew that the Jews were
being removed, first as a major betrayal of the religious and patriotic Jewish community, and second because it would
give the Palestinian terrorists a free hand in Gaza without Israeli army interference. Without anymore Jews in Gaza,
the army had no “defending the Jews” excuse to stay. The Israeli controlled road to the former Jewish settlements cut
Gaza in half at the waist and heavily restricted the terrorist’s ability to transport weapons coming into the
south from Egypt up to Northern Gaza where the rockets are launched]. Hamas taking over ruined his plan. When
they started pounding Israel with crude rockets, the defense establishment wanted to go back into Gaza and stop the
attacks [The Israeli IDF is mostly patriotic and tries to do the right thing. It’s the Defense Minister, a political
appointee, that is there to stop them, or often to stop short of full victory]. But the Bush administration went ape. That
would stop their hopeless peace plans. They ordered Sharon and his Defense Ministry never to threaten the Hamas
government militarily. The Pentagon gave Israel tiny border areas where the military could operate and outright banned any operation that could change the status quo and stop the rockets.

"’Sharon was forced [no, he was a willing accomplice] to enter into secret negotiations with Hamas to hammer out the
rules of engagement. His number one concern was Ashkelon. It is Israel's fourth largest city and nearly
impossible for rockets to miss from Gaza. And more frightening, the city has a broad political and national
population. Something had to be sacrificed to save Ashkelon, and that something was Sderot, a mostly
Moroccan town [the city that is the subject of most of the rocket attacks].

"The way I've been hearing it, Israel agreed not to fight a war in Gaza that would end in a regime change. Hamas
could shoot as many rockets as it wanted, on condition that they miss their targets [Hamas had to fire rockets to keep up
its hard-core image among its radical fighters]. In short, the deal was ‘don't mass kill Jews and we'll keep you in power.’ Most rockets would be aimed at Sderot, or the desert. It was permitted to do damage there. But Ashkelon, and especially its power station, were to remain no_hit zones. In return, Israel offered an insurance policy. It will not prepare its people for a war against Gaza by refitting public or school bomb shelters, distribute gas masks and the like [Israel has gone further than that in taking away people’s gas masks and weapons—especially in the most right-wing religious settlements]. Israel is being held captive by Hamas and the Americans.

"’Hamas broke the deal once last May when Bush was in Jerusalem. They slammed a Katyusha into a shopping mall,
maiming over a dozen. But otherwise, in a city as large as Ashkelon, the rockets always find 'open areas' to land in. If
Hamas wanted to, it could aim at crowded football games, fairs, gatherings, just name wherever people gather. And if
Israel wanted to, it could pound Gaza militarily and oust Hamas. But the way I've been told, there's a deal floating
out there and neither side will break it.’”

There are such secret deals, and they are used to have an excuse to reign in the IDF so they don’t go in and eliminate
real terror—which is the only solution that would lead to peace (as long as you also gave both Israel and the
Palestinians their liberty under a fair system of law). But neither the radical Arab leaders nor the globalist Israeli
politicians want liberty or peace. And, there will be no peace because they want control, and war gives them the
excuse and power to control both sides.

As Akiva Eldar of Haaretz put it, “The only way to kick Hamas out of Gaza is to put the enclave under IDF martial
law and a civil administration [true, if that administration were fair]. In other words, to disengage from the
disengagement. In any case, someone will have to take responsibility for the fate of a million and a half human
beings. It is doubtful whether the Palestinian Authority under Mahmoud Abbas will want to rule over Gaza and be
portrayed as a ‘collaborator’ with Israel. Even if it does, it is doubtful the PA will be able to stop the rocket fire at Israel.
Still, Abbas' position will improve if it is he who mediates the next cease-fire. An Israeli occupation of Gaza without a
scaling down of the occupation in the West Bank and progress in the peace process are likely to further weaken
Abbas' already weak position and his efforts to compromise Hamas' standing in the West Bank.”

We mustn’t underestimate the difficulties which make the Gaza strip totally unworkable as an independent state. It is a
true ghetto that is a near complete welfare state. Sara Roy’s description is appalling: “The overwhelming majority of
Gazans are impoverished and officially 49.1 per cent are unemployed. On 5 November the Israeli government sealed
all the ways into and out of Gaza. Food, medicine, fuel, parts for water and sanitation systems, fertilizer, plastic
sheeting, phones, paper, glue, shoes and even teacups are no longer getting through in sufficient quantities or at all [Gaza is nowhere near self-sufficient in basic commodities]. The two main food providers in Gaza are the UN Relief and
Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and the World Food Program (WFP). UNRWA
alone feeds approximately 750,000 people in Gaza, and requires 15 trucks of food daily to do so... most of the
people who get food aid are entirely dependent on it. The majority of commercial bakeries in Gaza –– 30 out of 47 ––
have had to close because they have run out of cooking gas. People are using any fuel they can find to cook with.
Shortages of gas and animal feed have forced commercial producers to smother hundreds of thousands of chicks. By
April, according to the FAO, there will be no poultry there at all: 70 per cent of Gazans rely on chicken as a major
source of protein. Banks, suffering from Israeli restrictions on the transfer of banknotes into the territory were forced to
close on 4 December... The World Bank has warned that Gaza’s banking system could collapse if these restrictions
continue. All cash for work program has been stopped and on 19 November UNRWA suspended its cash assistance
program to the most needy. It also ceased production of textbooks because there is no paper, ink or glue in Gaza.”
Most of the direct aid is channeled through Hamas, which benefits politically as the “provider” of the people. Hamas
gets its money from a combination of the EU, Socialist International [Communist Front], Egypt and Iran. It can
never be independent of international aid, fuel, money, and energy. The real reason the globalist community is pushing
to making it an “independent” state is that it can never be independent of globalist control and welfare—hence it
enhances globalist control inroads into the region. The Political motives: I’ve just covered the larger issues that you won’t get elsewhere. There are, of course, lesser corruption and political conspiracies that operate
simultaneously with the globalist agenda. These often get into the press, because they think greed explains everything.
Israeli politicians acts as if they hate each other (sometimes true), but in reality, they collaborate on many things that are not good for the country. Only a few at the top fully understand the control system that works on all major
parties.

As a review for new subscribers, keep in mind that the Labor party represents the old Left/Marxist elements in
Israel. Its support is getting smaller every year since the PTB in Israel have agreed that a phony Right-wing agenda
is much more effective at controlling the majority (who are interested in a successful economy and a proper defense).
The Likud party represents the establishment “Right- Wing” and is led by Kissinger-protege Benjamin
Netanyahu. It long ago abandoned the true Right and the patriotic settlers that originally supported it and, like the
American Republican Party, is now merely a front for the globalists. But, it always keeps playing to the far right so as
to corrupt its Right-wing constituents into unwise compromises and to position itself to accept the inevitable
electoral backlash that comes when the current center-Right (actually Left) government gets into trouble. The Kadima
party is a breakaway party from Likud that formed when Likud’s globalist/leftist leader Arial Sharon could no longer
keep up his front as a Right-wing leader. He refused to form a coalition government with small parties further to the
Right. Even though these religious parties can usually be boght by benefits for their religious schools and churches,
they had tired of Sharon’s constant betrayals. Ehud Olmert, Sharon’s successor in Kadima (after Sharon’s incapacitating
stroke), lost popular support after the disastrous failure of the Lebanon war with Hezbullah and because of his
involvement in numerous corruption scandals. All the top leaders are corrupt. Only some get caught.

The current PM is a woman, Tzipi Livni, is very ambitious and unprincipled. She is locked into a political struggle in
the upcoming elections with Defense Minister Ehud Barak (the former Leftist PM from Labor Party). Barak’s political
popularity had been very low due to the appeasement defense policies of Olmert, of which he shared the blame.
Suddenly, his stock is rising with his hard line response to Hamas in the Gaza attacks—but all that will turn to dust
when another secret deal is made with Hamas to again protect the terrorists for another fight later on. Thus, at
least part of what is going on in Gaza is to refurbish Barack’s and Livni’s image.

Haaretz correspondent Yossi Verter filed this report: “Two months after Ehud Olmert was elected as Israel's prime
minister, the Second Lebanon War broke out. Two months before Olmert departs, the military campaign in the south
breaks out. But Olmert isn't the story here; he's on his way to the Prime Minister's Bureau pensioners' ward. Ehud
Barak is the story here. The man who, until yesterday, had to remind the Israeli voter of his existence with self-ridicule
on billboards and satirical shows is returning to the politica ring with force. In the coming days, weeks maybe, Barak
will stand in the center of the public's attention. For better or worse, he's in his element. The beginning of the raid in Gaza bears the wily and deceptive fingerprint of Barak, the Israel Defense Forces most highly decorated combat soldier
[based upon fraud—his military cowardice was covered up to make way for his political career]. This does not make
him the most suitable candidate for the premiership, but it may deliver him and his party from the humiliating defeat
the polls are predicting.

“If, by the end of the operation, the general sentiment will be that Israel has once again failed to meet its goals, if
rockets continue to land and Gilad Shalit remain captive, the public will turn their anger at Barak and Foreign Minister
Tzipi Livni and power will drop like a ripe fruit into Benjamin Netanyahu's lap [That is why this globalist has
positioned himself to the Right, and why the US is pressuring the IDF to cease the operation before a successful
conclusion].”

THE PEACE PROCESS IS DEAD

IPS wrote that “Formally, the Israeli-Palestinian ‘peace process’ appears set to continue, in line with the last UN
Security Council (UNSC) resolution. But the chances of finding a resolution are virtually nil in light of Israel's new
campaign against the Gaza Strip. ‘Even before Israel's latest bombardment of Gaza, the so-called peace process was
dead,’ Magdi Hussein, secretary-general of Egypt's Islamistleaning Labor Party (officially frozen since 2000)... On
Saturday (Dec. 27), Israel began a series of punishing air strikes throughout the Gaza Strip, which is controlled by
Palestinian resistance faction Hamas. According to Israeli officials, the campaign comes in retaliation for rockets fired
at Israel by Palestinian resistance factions... The current round of negotiations began in November 2007 with a peace
summit in Annapolis in Maryland... The Annapolis summit was followed by a series of negotiations between Israeli
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. The PA rules the West Bank.
Up until this point, however, Abbas's frequent talks with his Israeli counterpart have failed to bring any gains to the
Palestinian side, with Israel continuing to reject key Palestinian demands... include an Israeli withdrawal to pre-
1967 borders [which cuts off most of Israel’s water supplies and makes Israel such a tiny nation that it is highly
vulnerable to military attack], the return of Palestinian refugees to what is now Israel [which would overwhelm the
Jews in every election], and the establishment of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital [allowing
the Arabs to have unfettered access to build and rearm for another attack on Israel].” Israel’s sellout leaders would
gladly agree to these except they cannot get away with it and still stay in power. The numerous right wing minority
parties would rebel and bring down the government coalition.

“Abbas's negotiations with Olmert have also failed to significantly reduce the number of Israeli military
roadblocks riddling the Palestinian West Bank, or stop the continuous construction of Jewish-only ‘settlements’ on
occupied Arab land.” The report fails to acknowledge that the land was captured after the Arabs attacked and lost the
last 5 wars, so this is hardly a clear cut question of Arab land. Second, the Israeli government has dismantled by
force hundreds of Jewish religious settlements, but they do not do so to placate the Arabs. They do this because these
are the most anti-government Jewish settlers—true Zionists and not globalists.

As Helene Cobban (Leftist) wrote, “The US's actual power in the region is noticeably reduced from what it was in
2006. Ehud Barak, Ehud Olmert, and Tzipi Livni have launched the whole of the Middle East on a wild ride.
Neither they nor their backers in Washington will be able to shape this outcome. The best we can hope for now is some
kind of forceful political intervention from other, more neutral powers.”

As if on cue, French newspapers announced, “Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni said Israel is working toward a
peace treaty while it is attacking targets of the Palestinian militant group Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Earlier this week,
Israel rejected a 48_hour truce proposed by France. Meanwhile, Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek said
the European Union must take the initiative to seek a cease_fire in the Gaza Strip, noting the United States cannot
be counted on at this time. He made his remarks as the Czech Republic took over the EU's rotating presidency
today. Mr. Topolanek said he is organizing a diplomatic mission to the Middle East that will look for a solution to
the conflict between Israel and Hamas. The Czech news agency said the mission will include EU foreign policy chief
Javier Solana, the bloc's external relations commissioner.” Solana is a long-term Marxist and will follow the EU path
of pushing for more aid and power for the Palestinian state.

May I be permitted to tell you about a phone call I received last week from Israel? It seems the lady went to a Rabin lecture given by Prof. Arieh Zaritsky in Har Nof, Jerusalem. She was appalled that he was using much of my material and retelling it without credit. The prof has never done any raw intelligence gathering but someone who has, author Natan Gefen, was also supposed to lecture. But the prof gave him about three words and handed the mike back to himself. The lady informed me that the presentation was, "scrambled and boring," until the question time when my name invariable arose. The prof., using my intelligence for his presentation, had the jealous gall to say that I, "imagined things."

Oh Jews! Wherever you are, you are egocentric, resentful and petty. But you can be smart,too. Following up on my previous article about the takeover of Israel's governing role by Supreme Court president, Aharon Barak, two Israelis added perspective on the Court's coverup of the Rabin assassination.Shai D. wrote:

She warned me not to cause problems and that she will act against me if I will.

Beinish has met with the American ambassador when she was elected - a step that shade light on how Israel is independent.

But what I must reject are people and groups who viciously despise the likes of Jesuits, Jews, new agers, Christians of all shades, Arabs, bankers, masons, Zionists, Democrats, pro-lifers, Luciferians, Jewish leaders, the medical industry...you name it. I can't include the overly emotional because I must be objective, but buried in their agendas there can be some truth. Sometimes, they are even right on target. You'll get to know them all.

 - Then there are financial analysts who are usually right on target, so are buried alive by the mainstream.

- More information is sent to me on subjects I can't repeat because of reader boredom. For instance, I get lots of new reports on Shabtai Tzvi, Rabbi Antelman, Rabin, Vatican etc. I'll send these to you along with readers' comments, eye-witness reports etc. with the writers' names removed.

- I don't use deep political and economic conspiracies. I have enough trouble with my straightforward essays on provable conspiracies. I'll send you a steady stream of conspiratorial literature sent to me. I add, much of it comes from places outside my sphere of interest. Do with it as you like.

- And, you'll get the material I finally winnow out for my own articles. Choose the points I should focus on. Add your own input. Help make my work more accessible to those who care about Israel's survival.

Here's how I'll get this done. I'll keep a separate list. I'll send one long e-mail every day or two so you won't be flooded with mail from me. I'll add the correspondence to this letter, no matter how long, and you can pick and choose.

And now, the difficult part for me; payment. I am the world's worst businessman. Some of the people requesting the service have savings, others are struggling more. All are sincere. I receive over 400 letters on a given day. Providing the service means putting a couple of hours into these letters, organizing them and getting them to you daily. I'll commit myself to six months of work in this experimental period.
