Michael Jackson's death: Moving vans arrive at Holmby Hills mansion

12:52 PM | June 27, 2009

Two moving vans arrived at Michael Jackson’s rented Holmby Hills mansion this morning, and workers are removing items from the home and loading them into one of the vans.

The large, white Atlas Van Lines trucks came about the same time Janet Jackson arrived. She drove up in a maroon Bentley while wearing dark sunglasses. Before noon, one truck was inside the estate’s massive black gates, and the other van waited outside.

Security guards hurried fans along, with one telling them, “Hurry up and take a picture!” A few fans placed roses, signs, teddy bears, balloons and photos near the star; the items stretched for several feet along the sidewalk.

On top of Jackson’s star lay a rosary and five red roses. A cluster of candles was placed just off to the side.

At the Jackson family home in Encino, dozens of fans joined dozens of photographers and journalists waiting for any movement inside the home.

As they stood outside in the blazing sun, some emotional fans sought comfort in posting pictures and notes on the wall outside the home. Others surveyed the journalists as they walked up to the wall, hoping to get interviewed or photographed. Media and fans gathered outside the gates of the Jackson family home in Encino. Jay L. Before noon, several boxes of Domino’s pizza arrived at the home, and a few were given to police officers standing watch. Two black minivans left the home this morning. Later, a UPS driver delivered a package.

OH MY GOSH!!! HEAR IS A LINK TO A VERY GOOD MICHAEL JACKSON TRIBUTE SONG.

To Nancy - There is another reason to get Michaels things in posession of the family. HAving gone through something like this on a smaller scale - think about Michaels handlers who have been isolateing him from his family and others in his trusted circle for over 30 years - if the family did not get his posessions these people could be walking out the door with very valuables items tryig to clean him out - As a famikly member I would have done the same thing to prevent that. Don't be so quick to judge.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to the family.

I attended my first Jackson 5 concert in Louisville, KY in 1970. I remember screaming to the top of my lungs the entire night. They were "the Bomb."

In my early 20's (late 1970's), I remember going to the disco, and when the DJ would put on Michael's music, everyone would leave their seats and the entire dance floor would be crowded.

Truly Michael was a great talent and inspired many happy memories for a lot of people.

Love & Peace,
CH

We are all still in shock to hear about Michael, I can't put in words how i feel but growing up to the Jacksons is like we knew them they were a part of our lives, this is like loseing an amazing family member. The Jacksons remind me so much of my father and uncle who are both gone, I can see them partyen with this music in the back round, Michael will be missed very much and i hope his children can continue to stay in the Jackson family RIP Michael you are loved everywhere We Do miss you!!

With a moving van and "Momma & Daddy" , the siblings and whomever else was there, it seems to be a snatch and grab situation of Michaels' valuables. That home should have been padlocked, with no one entering until his will was read. All of Michael belongings (or the value thereof) should belong to his children unless his will states differently. Instead the valuables are now gone forever. All of this taking place while a NEW autopsy was being performed. Was this a diversion until they could get what they wanted from the home? Shame! But if you can live with it, your deeds will eventually become known. I can't believe it!!!

we'll always love you and miss you

love you michael jackson

R.I.P my friend!!! miss you

i love michael jackson and there is hope from the bible for the dead his works are not forgotten we love michael always and forever and all my love goes to the Jackson family and of course Katherine and this 3 children

Just a couple of questions... Why would his doctor need legal representation if he didn't do anything wrong? And why would a moving van be needed to move his stuff out of that house so quickly unless there was compromising evidence that the "family" didn't want anyone else to know about?

This is all very suspicious and I can guarantee you that Sir Boston Billy and the Keystone Kops will never allow us to know the real truth about what happened and who needs to be held responsible besides Jackson himself.

i think michael jackson will never be forgotten, he was a total legend, rip michael. u was the best xxxxxxxxxxxxx
