LONGVIEW, Wash. (June 21) -- The Cowlitz County sheriff's office said a driver went at least three miles on I-5 near Castle Rock in reverse. Deputy Ryan Cruser said a 41-year-old Canadian was arrested about 8:30 p.m. Thursday after his car stopped in the middle of the northbound lanes. He laughed as deputies approached and refused to get out his rented car.
The Daily News of Longview reports deputies broke a window and used a Taser to subdue him. He was held for a mental evaluation.

gposner29 >>>>>You are correct as I never thought about it. It is an assumption that we have to drive facing headlights forward. There are no signs saying you can not drive in reverse. As long as he was in his lane, not swerving, what did he do wrong? It would not be his fault if someone was mesmerized by his driving skill and they caused an accident.

Frank665 Aren't the police using the Taser a little to freely?***************************************************************** ****What the hell people? When someone is posing danger to the public especially if they are not in control of their vehicle while being an asswipe I say taze the idiot a couple of times. He could have easily lost control of his car and killed someone plus it also appeared he was mentally unstable so take him down I say...bad boysbad boys whatcha gonna do? Watcha gonna do when they come for you?
