Before you start pointing the finger at the victims in this case...be aware that it's mostly your married husbands lurking around looking to buy, use and exploit these young women who obviously already have serious issues. Here is a story about a man in a tiny N.C. town who met up with a rapist via craigslist and had his very own wife raped. Sincere condolences to the victim and her family. Truly. But, if you play hardand risky in the adult world, you must realize that there could be dire consequences. Either the quick pile of cash or the thrill of the adventure lures people into trouble. How many of you out there would meet total strangers in a hotel room with the preconceived notion that it is perfectly okay? If you are doing that, you are delusionary. I will never say that someone deserves to be hurt or killed, but you cannot expect to walk into a "burning room" doused in gasoline and not to get burned.

And the most important comment I want to leave is to the family of the victim. You have my deepest sympathies. I have no idea of the pain you are experiencing, but I hope you find some comfort in the fact that the police where able to catch the psycho before he did this to another family. May she rest in peace, and may you find comfort in knowing she's in heaven and you will someday see her again.

As far as Markoff goes, lets just say if he was smart enough to get into medical school, but then dumb enough to leave a trail leading right to him for these crimes, then I hope he gets the death penalty he deserves it. Thank God the Information Superhighway caught this psychopath at the beginning of his criminal career, because he would have done it over and over again. But he is by far the dumbest criminal....its like he left bread crumbs leading right up to his door....As far as the financee.........I'm guessing she isn't standing by her man any longer....She canceled her wedding plans, doesn't look like he would have been able to attend an August wedding while he's locked up awaiting trial.

It was sickening to read the comments about what kind of woman YOU ALL THINK this victim is. None of you know anything, just playing armchair detectives. How sad to think of the names you all have called her, does anyone remember she is the VICTIM here. She brought a massage table to the room if any of you recall that one little tidbit, most prostitutes don't carry around massage tables. I'm sure the defense will take all the shots at putting her down, does the public need to do that also ????
