His grandfather, Hongjing was a Miljikbusa, a government official who, with Lee Seong-gye defeated the Japanese enemies that used to evade through the west ocean. When the invader of Yeojin tribe contacted the east-north province he drove them back with Jeong mong-ju.
In the 14th year of King Woo in Goryeo, there was an incident of Mujinchamhwa, in which 1000 officials were killed as Choi Yeong and Lee Seong-Gye accused Heung-Bang Yeom of rebellion. At that time, Jing Hong, the brother-in- law of Heung-Bang Yeom was killed.
As the result, Paju Yeom family and Namyang Hong family who were the faithful ministers of the late of Goryeo and reigning nobles fled down to Jangseong and Naju of South Jeolla Province, and Gochang of North Jeolla Province to avoid the crisis. |
