Hong Gil-Dong was a person who had a great impact on the soceity of Joseon in the 1460s to 1500s. But his final whereabouts is no where to be found.
However, through a Japanese researcher who tried to rediscover the history of Yugu (old name of Okinawa, Japan), new clues started to appear. What kind of relation would Hong Gil-Dong have with Yugu, or Okinawa? It is ironic that the person who tracked the historical records that Hong Gil-Dong might have escape to Okinawa is a Japanese historian.
Re-examining the history of Yugu, he admitted the possibility that Hong Gil-Dong may have moved to Yugu, a place inhabited before his move.
Then, how could Hong Gil-Dong escape from the place of exile in Namhae?
