this is a great list. Shame that not many amiga games hit the list - like turrican. Guitar Hero created a whole new genre, and should get higher than 70th, surely? And I'm not a huge WoW fan, but that game is on another level in terms of engagement - they've got 9m people living in a world in a way that never happened with Mario on SNES (as brilliant as that game was).

Final Fantasy VII was an amazing game, I nearly lost a job and my first girlfriend I was so addicted!

Surprised LMA manager didn't feature, by far the best football management game ever on a console

Where's Kick Start, Paperboy, Bubble Bobble, Rick Dangerous, Rocket Ranger, Leisure Suit Larry and It Came from the Desert???. Christ I feel old now :(

what no "Jet set willy" !?!? or "Pilot Wings"?

It's an EPIC list, but where's games like Eve. I've never been a fan of the game but it's one of the most played online games ever...

Okami should have been way way higher, as should the SIMs, BioShock, Chrono Trigger should have been way higher.

Call of Duty 4 definitely does not belong in the Top 10

I'm a little upset that not one of the Tekkens made it into the top ten. Same goes with Metal Gear Solid (which made it into the top 20), that will forever be one of my favourite games.

What about Pokemon? That should have at least been in the top 20. Max Payne? Medal of Honour?

I am happy about Final Fantasy though -- definately one of the most amazing video game series ever, in my opinion.
