Best of Las Vegas 2009 : People : Las Vegan You’d Like to Know More About

Reader Pick
STEVE WYNN
Most years Steve Wynn wins this category (and that’s most years; this is his eighth straight victory), we wonder what you could possibly want to know about one of the highest-profile guys around. (Anyone who stars in his own TV commercials, touting his latest Strip megaresort, is not exactly a man of mystery.) And yet, despite the best efforts of the British tabloids (to say nothing of R-J gossip maven Norm Clarke), there are still a few questions readers would undoubtedly like answered, from the state of Wynn’s casino empire to what’s up with this second divorce from Elaine? The ever-popular Oscar Goodman once again winds up as runner-up.

Staff Pick
DAVID ASHLEY
Some past UNLV presidents have been expert button-pushers, riling the community with their forceful ways. (Anybody remember Bob Maxson? Or maybe Carol Harter?) But Ashley, the university’s eighth leader, is hardly a spotlight hog. Of course, he doesn’t need to be. With Chancellor Jim Rogers on the job, Ashley can skip the speechifying and lie low — so low there are plenty of things inquiring minds want to know. (Including a what’s-the-deal status report on his relationship with constant companion Bonnie Moore, a photographer who’s at his side during appearances on the local fundraiser circuit.)

A) The LVRJ reporters have never asked me yet say it's a big question... and
B) The LVRJ didn't read the announcement in the Sun when we had a very public reception last year.
To answer any question- David and I are very very married...lol
We had a family commitment Ceremony Dec. 3, 2007, and a Formal Ceremony with friends Oct. 25, 2008, then threw a big University Scholarship Fund Raiser/Reception in honor of the marriage the week following that. (Big Secret...lol)...
David is not an elected official who spends his time worrying about publicicizing his private life (remember, he's an engineer and has that temperament), but rather is someone that is focused on the job at hand, which is so very much more important...and that is to focus on the budget crisis in this state. God forbid you have someone in this State focused on what is important...now, get back to the relevant issues, please! and, of course...GO REBELS.
