Removal tool for Kaspersky Lab's products

Concerning to:
  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0\7.0\2009 (all builds)
  • Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0\7.0\2009 (all builds)
  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations (all builds)
  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Servers (all builds)
  • Some errors might occur when deleting Kaspersky Anti-Virus product via Start > Control Panel > Add\Remove Programs. As a result the program will not be uninstalled or will be partially uninstalled.

    Removal utility allows uninstalling the following products: 

    • Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0\7.0\2009 
    • Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0\7.0\2009
    • Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations 
    • Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Servers

    Information Under 64-bit OS’s the removal utility can uninstall Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 only.

     

    In order to fully uninstall the product: 

    • Download the archive KAVremover9.zip 
    • Unpack the file KAVremover9.exe from the archive 
    • Run the file KAVremover9.exe
    • Enter the code from the picture 
    • Click the Remove button 

    Information Below you see an animated instruction how to work with the utility. In order to remove the product, DOWNLOAD and RUN the UTILITY ON the COMPUTER where you want to remove the product.

    • Wait until a dialog window informs you of successful product removal 
    • Click OK

     

    • Reboot your computer

    If by some reasons the remove utility has not found the installed product in the OS and you are sure the product is installed and/or some modules still remain, then to skip product check, run the utility from the command prompt with the following syntax kavremover9.exe [kav6 | kav7 | kav2009 | kav2009x64| kis6 | kis7 | kis2009 | kis2009x64 | kav6fs | kav6wks]. For example if Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 was installed on your PC in this case the command will look the following way kavremover9.exe kis2009.
