Why did you want to go blonde?

I've always really liked change, especially when it came to my hair, and have often thought about going blonde. So when the opportunity came around, I decided to take a chance!

Why hadn't you gone blonde until now? What was your biggest fear?

Well, I didn't know where to start, because I've always had dark hair. I've never bleached my hair before so it seemed complicated and I was scared the bleach would dry out my hair or make it feel like straw. Now I see I was totally wrong!

What was the biggest surprise about your Nutrisse Blonde transformation?

Guess what? It was a lot easier than I thought! The product directions are so straightforward, it's really simple.

How does your blonde hair feel?

My hair feels good! Very shiny and super healthy.

How do people react to your transformation?

Everyone's really shocked, some people haven't recognized me at first. But everyone really likes it!

How has going blonde changed your life?

I never really understood what people meant when they say blondes have more fun but I kind of get it now. I feel like I stand out more being blonde, I feel brighter. I really like being blonde, and I want to stay blonde for a while.

Why did you want to go a lighter shade of blonde?

It makes me feel special! I always have loved being blonde, so being blonder feels more feminine. I was born almost white-blonde, and I have pretty light hair naturally, but over time you look at your hair and say, “It’s not as light as it was when I was 15...”

So, why hadn't you lightened your hair until now? What was your biggest fear?

I want my hair to look real, and had the idea that anything in a bottle would be a blanket colour and not look natural. I was shocked at how natural this colour looked!

What was the biggest surprise about your
Nutrisse Blonde experience?

Two things. First, the results. The colour actually picked up my natural highlights and enhanced my colour: sun-kissed on the top, and a bit darker underneath. Also, it was really easy. I didn’t realize it was so incredibly simple to colour my hair. Originally I thought it was a complex process that should always be done professionally. Now I know I can do it myself or I could help a friend. You could call me a “professional” now!

How does your blonde hair feel?

It feels great. It looks so healthy, it’s not dry or brittle. Since this was the first time I coloured my hair, I was surprised to see it’s actually much shinier and more nourished than it was before! The best part is, I’ve been on vacation swimming in the ocean for three weeks so it's gone even lighter, which I love. My hair feels as healthy as ever, if not healthier -- just a lighter shade.

How do people react to your transformation?

They say, "You've lightened your hair, it looks great!" Which is exactly what I want to hear.

How did going blonder change your life?

I'm no longer intimidated by the process. And now that I've done it, I could be a girlfriend's second set of hands.
