Ways You Might Be Breaking the Law (With Your Tech)
7. Choosing Your Own Adventure
You may have a better idea for how 'The Sopranos' should have ended. But if you publish your "fan fiction" story online, you may get a letter from the studio asking you to take it down. Copyright covers not just whole stories, but often characters and other components such as Tony Soprano. Trademark may also protect story elements. So authors can stop you from sending sending their characters on new adventures. Fortunately, some content creators, such as Joss Whedon ('Buffy the Vampire Slayer'), encourage fan fiction. And parodies, such as 'Spaceballs' or 'Scary Movie,' are allowed.

Where there are drugs there will be dealers. Just like where there
are computers, there will be hackers. I personally know a couple of hackers and most of the stuff they do online doesn't hurt or affect anyone else. Regarding cell phones: What really annoys me more than anything is being in a public place where there is a person on the phone. Now, I personally don't care if someone is talking on a phone, that's not what bothers me.. What bothers me is when someone is on the phone in a public place and if there are people around this cell phone user, sometimes I have encountered the cell phone caller to tell everyone around him/her
to shut-up! That's where they are overstepping their boundaries!
That's why people don't like cell phones. Also it seems I have got in 3x the amt of car accidents since cell phones have become more popular, than when there was no such thing as a cell or car phone! What happened to those days?

If the parents dont give their children camera phones it will eliminate a lot of the pictures that are passed around. The legal system then can then concentrate on the war criminals out there, instead of persecuting children. Sex has been around for a long time and a lot of people in the USA need to go and live on a farm for a period of time.

Time to wake up and smell the new technology, people! The YouTube music video takedown is taking the copyright thing WAY too far, as is the argument against "fan fiction". There are a lot of creative people out here and those that get paid for what some of us do for fun need to get a clue. Maybe you should start recruiting some of these creative people out here on the web to spruce up your TV programming, movie promos, etc. Because most network TV STINKS and there don't seem to be many new ideas in Hollywood based on all the remakes we've seen in recent years.
