SuperDuper! now out. How to uninstall Carbon Copy Cloner?

While I was waiting for a couple of months for the Leopard-ready upgrade to SuperDuper!, I installed Carbon Copy Cloner to create a bootable backup. Now that the Leopard-compatible SuperDuper! has finally been released (and because I'm a registered SD user), I've gone back to my old friend SuperDuper! I would therefore like to uninstall CCC, but when I dragged CCC to the trash and tried to Empty Trash, I was told "operation cannot be completed because the item 'ccc_helper' is in use." OK, so where do I find ccc_helper on my drive, and how do I get rid of it as well as CCC?
Thanks in advance!

Check inside your System Preferences under Accounts and Login items. If it's in there remove it then restart. Otherwise you can open up Activity Monitor and if you see the process running you can stop it.

CC Helper is probably in the CCC package and more than likely is running because you were using a scheduled backup. Open up your login items to see if CCC placed anything there and remove it if there is. Then log out and back in. That will ensure that the CC Helper is not running. Now you should be able to delete the program. (If there is no mention of CC Helper in the Login Items, just log out and back in.)

Thanks for the help, guys. All it took to bring things back to normal was just a restart -- at that point I could empty the trash without any problem.
