if u did it once and it didn't look right, do it again. Except the second time, pause the video. It turns black and white, it just dosn't give you enough time to see the total effect

When you look at the picture... it looks grey... the picture is actually in color.. I can see alittle blue and green... thats the trick..

Joel said 11:40PM on 10-17-2007
the illusion is that the castle and background are in color when it first changed to black and white....feel sorry for those that are so closed minded not to see anything...........and yes the wheels in the last image spun..............

The picture is black and white. If you stare at the dot the whole time, it looks like its in color but as soon as you look away from the dot its black and white, then you look back at the dot and its in color again. At first I thought it was just changing from color to black and white, back and forth but if you watch it and dont stare at the dot at all it stays black and white the whole time. Do it a couple times.

the illusion is that you are staring at the first image which is the color fill in of the castle. then it switches to a black and white picture of the castle. if you kept your eyes fixed on the dot, the black and white picture of the castle actually appears to be in color, even though it is actually b/w. the previous picture with the wheels spinning varies depending on how stressed you are, or unbalanced your nervous system may be. if they're spinning wildly, you may have a problem. if you're a little tired they may spin more than if you're pretty alert. they were'nt spinning wildly for me. but I could detect a very subtle spinning. Now the first one with the lady I can't get to spin counterclockwise no matter how long I stare at her feet....

As you stare at the dot, your retina is building up a photochemical sensitivity to the colors complimentary to the ones you are staring at in the dotted picture. Therefore, when the black and white castle picture appears, you see those colors whose chemicals have been built up in your retina superimposed on the black and white picture. Your brain switches from the color view of it to the black and white, and back again, as it relaxes.

At first I didn't get it because I starred at the dot and when it come it was in full color and then changed to black and white. I thought that's dumb because it's just changing. Now I see the amazing thing is that it's in color when you stare at the dot and it's black and white when you don't. Also if you stare at the dot but don't "STARE" at the dot then it's not in full color but color mixed with grey.

who is the idiot talking about God is imaginary. whoever he is he will know just how imaginary God is when judgement day comes and God banishes him to Hell for denying His authenticity. u must be whole in your faith and it will take care of you. there's no such thing as good luck and bad luck. God is the only one who decides each one's faith if u believe in Him, if not then the devil takes over your soul and everyday he and God battle for it. u must understand that u are worth it and if God is putting in work for you you must do the same for Him.

I don't see anything. Apparently my link to this illusion is not working. All I get is a big, open space.

If you actually keep staring where the dot was, when the picture switches to the black and white one, the picture looks like its in color up until the end and that's only if you don't look at the whole picture. Just where the dot was. Oh yeah and you idtiots who THINK you get this illusion who are saying stupid stuff like "look at the dot then look at the picture and look at the dot again" YOU'RE RETARDED! You're supposed to stay staring at the dot. DUR!

i could see flashes of color through my periphial vision on this pic, so the first picture just made you see black and white when color was applied
