4) Use the Internet to Cut Cellphone Bills
Voice-over-IP applications such as Skype (Mac, PC) and Gizmo5 allow you to make ultra-cheap calls with dozens of phone models by running over the cellular data (instead of voice) network, or over Wi-Fi. Using Wi-Fi can also provide better reception if you don't get good cell service at home. In fact, T-Mobile sells a line of Wi-Fi phones that make cheap calls from both home networks, and some public access points, using the company's Unlimited Hotspot Calling service.
