(楽しく聴けました)
『原作を知らず、もっとシリアスなイメージを持っていたのですが、天才ゆえの鈍感さと天然ぶりを発揮する礼一郎に対する陣内の心の内のツッコミが冴え渡り、コミカルな部分でテンポ良く聴けました。

あと、高橋さんの低音ボイスが私の記憶の中のものより数段良くなっていて（記憶が古すぎるとも言えますが）、評価基準が低かっただけにかなりポイント高くなりました。大人気ない部分と大らかな頼もしさの同居する、等身大の30代としての陣内を非常に格好良く演じていたと思います。根は素直な礼一郎もとても可愛かったですし。』

『『君が恋に溺れる』は漫画から読んだので、ドラマCDはやっぱり漫画に比べると面白さは少し減っちゃたかな?で星4つです。
でも、礼一朗役の遊佐さんが素敵すぎです!!
最初は、声が低めだな〜と少し違和感だったのですが、聞き終わる時には、遊佐さん最高!!(笑)となっていました。
遊佐さんの低めエロボイス聞きたい人にはぜひオススメです!!』

(原作とは違うテイスト)
『恋する暴君、ドラマＣＤは原作とは違うテイストに仕上がっていると感じました。

もともと原作は別作品のサイドストーリーですが、そこらへんの筋がきちんと通るように上手に編集されていて、そこは頑張ったな〜と思いました。
声優さんの声もぴったりなんですが、ただ演出の仕方で、原作キャラとは違うテイストになっている部分も…（特に森永君が少々カマっぽくなっている気が）。
全体的な演出も、効果音もＢＧＭも、「コミカルにかわいく」でまとまっていて、これはこれでひとつのものとして仕上がっているかなぁという感じです。

しかしそんな訳なので、原作にあるちょっとシリアスな部分や、キャラクターの複雑でハッキリ言葉にできないデリケートな感情みたいなものは削られちゃっている…という印象ですね。
特に宗一アニキの各シーンでの感情が平板化というか、均一になっちゃってるなーという感じでしょうか（いつも怒鳴ってるだけのキャラみたいな）。
私個人としては、宗一アニキのホモ嫌いなところと、森永君に惹かれかけているところの矛盾というか、キャラクターのそんな「揺れ」の部分が大好きだったので星３つになりました。

これはこれ単品で十分楽しめる作品だと思うのですが、欲を言うなら、高永ひなこが大好きな、『恋する暴君』が大好きな人に、作ってほしかったなぁといった感じでしょうか。』

『脚本がヘボのせいかイマイチ話に入り込めなかったです。
「もうちょっとコミカルな曲調にしてくれんかなー。」
「効果音も派手にしてくれないかなー。」
「話の流れが説明的過ぎて逆にうっとうしいなー。」
・・・・・・不満たらたらです。
一番不満だったのがエッチシーン。
服を脱がす音とかエロい音が少ない上に説明的なセリフ（ここにこそこうゆうセリフがないと！！）がないから漫画読んでないとナニがどうなったか分からない状態・・・。
せっかく声優さんはキャラのイメージにぴったりなのに・・・残念・・・。
ドラマＣＤと漫画、どっちが面白い？って聞かれたら漫画！って答えます。
もっと気合入れて作ってほしかったです。』

『めちゃくちゃ面白かったです！もともと好きな作品だったんですけどＣＤドラマを聴いてさらにハマってしまいました！！声がばっちりキャラと合っていたし、「暴君」には無いシーンがちょこちょこ入ってて新鮮だし、座談会も聴き逃したらいけませんよ（笑）暴君最高！！！』

(A perfect representation of that classic rock style) (Not Bad!!!) (A TRUE CLASSIC) (ac/dc classic) Highway to Hell is one of my all time favorites and it's too bad that it often gets overlooked when people discuss the all time greatest rock albums. Every song is strong and after you listen to it, you have to listen to it again. It really holds up well too considering that it's over thirty years old. While I'm also a big Brian Johnson fan, this album really showcase Bon Scott's great and unique vocal talents. It's too bad he passed away before anyone could see where this new direction for AC/DC would lead. To me, classic rock from around the 1969s and 1970s is the center of music. I think that AC/DC perfectly show that genre, and although people talk about this is where they softened up, I have to argue with that. What I find interesting about this album is it was made by everyone from the Brian Johnson era, but with Bon Scott instead, which is perfect because you get AC/DC's classic vocalist, with the people from their classic era. I think that the songs are all great songs, and the more I listen to it, the more I like it. Angus Young and Malcolm Young are a great guitar duo, Bon Scott's singing gives AC/DC what they need, and the rhythm section of Cliff Williams and Phil Rudd backs it all up. I can't really see much of what Robert Lange really did as a producer, but whatever it was, I think he did a great job. Mark Dearnley did a great job mixing, and I also should mention that it took a while before I realized how important the mixing can be to the music. The songs are all great. The title track is regularly played, and just about everyone knows it, but the other tracks are all incredible. When thinking about each song, I start humming the chorus and feel like getting up and jumping around. Although I really like how a lot of the more modern rock music shows a lot more deep dark emotions, I think that the classic stuff is still the center of music. This is my first AC/DC cd and it is really good! My favorite songs are Highway to Hell, and If You Want Blood (You Got It) If you love AC/DC, then you'll love want to take the HIGHWAY TO HELL!!! This is another highly recommended classic from AC/DC , it features alot of great classics and is there best album with Bon Scott in my opinion. A must have. this cd is so well known,as one of the best hard rock albums ever. it is a must have cd. i would say highway to hell on this cd is my favorite. every song is very good. If you love the Eagles , I highly recommend getting their farewell from Melbourne Australia DVD Hi, I've owned this DVD since it was released, and my wife and I still watch it at least, 2-3 times a month. I just wanted to share a part in the concert where my favorite song, LAST RESORT starts. If you watch Don on the stool in the beginning, he starts to get worried and his head turns back and forth, and suddenly there is a look of disgust on his face. If your system can pick it up, he is upset over a BUZZING noise, and it goes away. I thought it was priceless. I can feel for him. I know he's a perfectionist. With their music I would be too. One last thing, why couldn't somebody SHUT that guy UP!! in the audiance who was yelling ROCK and ROLL constantly. He should've gone to a Metallica head banger!! The Eagles 'ROCK' real well, without making ear bleeding noise. Their passion for their craft, and music is second to none. The adding of Joe Walsh in '76 gave them all the rock they needed. I have the vhs version plus the cd, but when I played it using the dts mode, I was awestruck, it was like listening for the first time. I had no idea a concert dvd could sound so good. Kudos to the musicians and sound engineers for such outstanding work. Also to the director and editor, this should be the model for every other concert dvd in the future, instead of the overly edited frantic camera work of some directors that make your head spin when you're trying to watch their concerts. ex. McCartney made in USA dvd of a few years ago, I think the editor got paid by the cut and recently the Tom Jones at Cardiff castle same deal. Ive come to the conclusion that this Eagles dvd is by far the best in sound quality and musicianship I have ever seen Is it just me or did others have tears in their eyes at the end of Don Henley's fabulous performance of "The Last Resort" (or "how the west was lost"), by far one of the most beautiful live performances I have ever seen. I cannot say enough good things about this concert DVD; it is the finest live concert I have ever seen. I must especially thank the Eagles for the song, "Get Over It", a song I'd like to send to some blame-shifting people I know. They really don't make 'em like this band of extraordinarily talented men and I'm so glad they came back in 1994, in 2004 and are touring as I write this review. Keep going guys -- we need you! And...I think Joe Walsh looks great wearing those glasses. Studio: Uni Dist Corp (music) Release Date: 10/03/2006 The long-defunct, Southern California band regrouped for an album, an expensive tour (expensive for ticket buyers, that is), and this televised special, which features the Eagles in performance. Laid-back but sharp and even stirring during a longish acoustic set, the guys quickly get past the nostalgia element and sound truly viable. They even make it look easy: the sight of Joe Walsh wearing glasses and sitting in almost perfect repose as he effortlessly colors old hits "Tequila Sunrise" and new material such as "Learn to Be Still" may make you wonder why you ever stashed that guitar in the attic. But the band eventually gets off their stools and rocks out on "Hotel California" and other Eagles standards. It takes it's genre and elevates it to an art. There are so many little inside jokes, you have to watch this movie many times over. Add in cameos by Ben and Jerry Stiller and Gilbert Gottfried as a neurotic Hitler, and you have pure movie gold! This movie is great if you like corny movies like me and are tired of the same boring hollywood garbage get this movie!!! Not up to the standard of Sam Raimi's"Evil Dead"trilogy. Some funny moments, one great death, amusing cameos. This is basically a comedy/horror retelling of the Orpheus and Eurydice myth, right down to the three-headed hound at the gates of Hades, the Styx and the instruction to not look back. Disappointing ending. Like its scenery, the movie seems a little dry and barren. Some good effects though. Some not so good. Perhaps it's not perfect, because of lack of budget. But it is very unusual and goes way beyond the average horror flick. Somewhere behind all the strange and funny events there is a deep humanity and wisdom. This could become a undiscovered classic in fifty years from now. I'll admit that the tone of this film was somewhat campy but that is exactly it's charm. I also found the visual effects and the cast in this movie to be more than able to pull it off. (9 to 5) (What The ....???) (Well I'm in the minority here...) (Pleased Viewer) "9 to 5" became the third highest grossing film of 1981 and propelled Dolly Parton to movie star status. Not only was it her first movie, but many ardent Dolly fans have said it was her best work on film. The film garnered Miss Parton an Oscar nomination as Best Original Song, as well as two Grammys. Jane Fonda wanted to do a film about female office workers who get back at their egotistical and arrogant boss. Patricia Resnick, who also wrote Dolly's film "Straight Talk", penned the "9 to 5" script. It was through Jane's production company that "9 to 5" was produced. Jane knew she wanted both Lily Tomlin and Dolly for the roles of the other two secretaries that she would be playing alongside, and the result was one of the best trios ever in movie making. Their chemistry is right on, and as a result "9 to 5" has gone on to be a Hollywood classic. The script by Resnick is near perfect, and the supoorting roles, most notably Dabney Coleman who plays the boss Mr. Hartt, is superb. Sit back and enjoy a true funny and hilarious movie that has never aged, despite being made in 1980. Dolly is also producing a Broadway production called "9 to 5 -The Musical", in which she wrote the entire score, and the script has been written by Patricia Resnick. The musical opens on April 30, 2009. The DVD release features commentary with all the female stars-Parton, Fonda, and Tomlin, and its great hearing them talk about the making of "9 to 5". Their commentary lasts for the duration of the movie, as the stars were watching the entire film while giving their anecdotes and opinions on the picture. This is a great movie my boys loved it when they were younger and lived at home, they watched it over and over until they new it word for word. you should of seen them when they found out that I had it in the house again... now there children are watching it. I had owned the previous dvd release which was in Dolby Surround 2.0. It sounded fine and the picture was decent, so with this version I thought for sure it would at least be in the same audio format or maybe even 5.1 surround(after all it has an oscar nominated anthem by Dolly Parton). I was shocked to find it is only in stereo. What the ....??? When you re-release a film on dvd you should better the sound and picture, not worsen it. What a ridiculous blunder by Fox. The extras are just ok and really only worth watching or listening to once, and the karaoke version of the title song's timing is way off. If you have the previous release, aren't all that interested in special features, and want the film presented the best possible way, stick with that version, or try to buy it from sellers on Amazon. You'll be much more satisfied. Shame on Fox for a lame-o re-release of a classic comedy. Love the film, but this version should not be the last and only version to be released. next year's the 30th anniversary, and hopefully it will finally be released in 5.1 surround as it deserves to be. Get with it Fox, the fans deserve it, especially after all the money the film made for you. From the moment I heard Dolly Parton's uniquely engaging voice come over my television stereo set singing the theme song to this 80's comedy I knew that I was going to enjoy myself. I don't know what it is about that woman that I just adore, but whatever, that's neither here nor there. The fact is that before I even got into the meat of this movie I had made my mind up. By the time the credits began to roll I have changed my mind completely. Yet still, by the time I woke up the next morning I had a very different outlook. Okay, so here's the thing; `9 to 5' is a deceitful little thing. This is what I mean. `9 to 5' is not a laugh out loud type of comedy. Maybe it is to some, but for me it was one of those `laugh quietly on the inside' type of comedies, and so because of that when the film ends I wound up thinking it wasn't really all that funny. But it's also one of those comedies that sits well with you. As you think about it you wind up finding the humor and before long you remember it funnier than when you were watching it. Make sense? So the film revolves around three working women and their egotistical boss. Violet Newstead is a hard working woman seeking out a promotion that she wholeheartedly deserves; Doralee Rhodes is a hard working secretary just trying to do her job right despite the nasty rumors floating around the office, and Judy Bernly is a recent divorcee who just wants to prove her independence. The problem they all share is the man they call boss; Franklin M. Hart Jr. When an accident gives sends one of the girls into a panic their lives are forever changed as they find themselves holding their boss hostage, getting involved in blackmail and eventually teaching the man a thing or two about girl-power. As far as the acting is concerned, there are clear standouts and a few disappointing letdowns. First of all, Dolly Parton is a doll and a comedic knockout; truly the most inspired performance between the three leads. Jane Fonda, an actress I am not usually smitten with, is less inspired but she manages to be better than I would have given her credit for. My biggest disappointment came in the form of Lily Tomlin, who I just expected to be amazing. I usually find her a comedic delight and a true standout in just about everything, but here she was at times rather dull. The truth of the matter is though, that as much as this film is about these three women and their `standing up to the man', it is the man himself that runs away with the entire show. Yes, Dabney Coleman, AKA Franklin M. Hart Jr. is seriously the funniest and most engaging part of this film. He nails his character and delivers one of my favorite supporting performances of the said year. So, the film is not as good as I expected (it can feel a little bland at times) but if you let it rest a bit it winds up being funnier the more you think about it. In parts it's great and so maybe that's why it's funnier to think about than to watch, since when you think about it you think about the better parts. (Universal releases a nice Forbidden Hollywood style collection) (Finally!) While the interest in pre-code (June 1934) American talkies never seems to have been greater, it should not be assumed that the films are good simply because they deal with subjects which became off limits after the code was upheld. This package is a case in point. We have 6 entries from Paramount Studios and they vary from very good to very bad. I will add comments as I view each film but in the meantime, let's start with the bad. "Search for Beauty", released in 1934, is a terrible film. The pre-code elements are some nudity and a screenplay based on exploitation using sex as the bait. This would be of interest if the context in which they were presented had any merit but this must be one of the worst films ever. The garrulous screenplay concerns the sex-ploitation of athletic specimens, fronts for the get rich schemes of a trio of ex-cons. A teenage Ida Lupino, looking like a kewpie doll, and Buster Crabbe, an Olympic swimmer, star as the dupes, first via a health magazine and subsequently a health farm. The screenplay is dreadful, the editing poor, the production values ordinary and the cynicism behind the plot mind blowing. The film promoted a real life "Search for Beauty" and Anne Sheridan, who made her debut in this film and can be glimpsed as the winner from Texas, confirmed later in interviews that the whole thing was as appalling as it seems on the screen. "Murder at the Vanities", also released in 1934, is a backstage whodunnit set around the famous shows of Earl Carroll, a rival to producers Ziegfield and George White of musical reviews on Broadway. The film is boring with a dull plot and the notable absence of the zing of the equivalent Warner Brother's offerings. Mitchell Liesen directed the film so not surprisingly, the art direction is excellent. The pre-code aspects relate in particular to the near nude costuming in the musical numbers, which include a bizarre song about the use of marijuana. Elsewhere, there are a few pleasant songs including "Cocktails for Two" but Kitty Carlisle and Frederick Brisson are not dynamic performers although he tries hard. The film is just OK. A star whose work is rarely seen is the delightful Nancy Carroll, a pert girl who bridged the coming of sound but whose career was thrown away when Paramount consistently handed her crummy roles and did not renew her contract in 1933, supposedly due to her temperament for complaining about the poor parts. "Hot Saturday", a 1932 release, is ample proof that a major talent was trashed. The film is the beguiling tale of a small town girl who loses her job and reputation for supposedly staying too long alone at the home of playboy Cary Grant. The film is beautifully directed by William Seiter and all the actors give good performances particularly Jane Darwell, cast unusually as a harridan wife. The pre-code aspects of the script are the implications of the behaviour of "wild youth" and pre-marital sex. It is a neat film. By the way, that's Nancy Carroll on the cover of the box in a provocative scene with Randolph Scott In 1933, Paramount starred the enchanting Claudette Colbert in "Torch Singer". Colbert was steadily moving to the top of the heap at this time and the film is a stunning showcase. She plays an unwed mother who becomes a notorious night club singer after giving up her child. By accident, she also becomes "Aunt Jenny", a radio personality hosting a maudlin children's program and thereby finds her child and the father for a happy ending. If the plot sounds improbable, that does not account for the breadth and depth of Colbert's performance. She runs the gamut from despair to happiness and never once strikes a false note. There is some brittle humour too. The supporting cast are outstanding, performers such as Charles Grapewin as the radio sponsor with a wonderful scene when he tells off his wife, Ricardo Cortez as the nightclub promoter and David Manners as the boyfriend who left her pregnant. Also Colbert is superbly dressed by Travis Banton, her favourite designer and what a figure she had. Wow! If this is not enough, then you will be blown away by Colbert's singing. Using her own mezzo and her superior acting abilities, she sells all the songs magnificently. This is a quality film in every way. The prints of the films are very good, in the case of "Torch Singer" and "Hot Saturday", like new. The only extras are a short documentary about the introduction of the code and a small pocket copy of the code itself. The documentary consists of a lot of talk from regular contributors to commentaries on classic films and a few tantalising glimpses from some of the films. Naturally, the dissertation looks at the Paramount legacy and focuses on De Mille's "Sign of the Cross" which particularly offended the Catholics due to its religious subject. The documentary is concise but pales compared to the equivalent documentary on The Forbidden Hollywood Volume 2 Collection. The release of these films is welcome to enthusiasts primarily because of their rarity. This does not mean, however, that they are good. This was a beautifully got-up package with all of these vault-struck or restored movies in absolutely pristine condition, the way viewers in the early 1930's saw them. The Cheat (if only Tallulah Bankhead's Faithless could be available on dvd!), Merrily We go to Hell,&Hot Saturday are excellent examples of pre-code: they are interesting, topical stories. Torch Singer got a tad sentimental and saccharine in the end but was still good. However, the third disc, in my opinion, just stunk. Even though I like early-30's musical films such as 42nd Street and Gold Diggers of 1933, as well as Footlight Parade, Murder at the Vanities was just more trite and rather mediocre numbers (I don't know WHAT the admiring fuss about Kitty Carisle Hart ever was, save for her long lifespan and the ever-present helmet of the same hairstyle she apparently had worn since 1934! She drifts off-key in her singing and I don't think she was ever especially talented -- )Also a boring backstage murder mystery. The very worst movie of the entire dvd set, also on the third disc, was Beauty For Sale. There's a huge difference between 1931 and 1934, even before the Code was enforced -- instead of a being gritty, true-to-life story with gratuitous if realistic sexual content, Beauty for Sale, like so many movies of 1934 and after, was just loud and garish, too forced, too in-your-face; as smirking and smarmy as a 1970's television jiggle sitcom. It was obnoxious, callow, annoying and leering, and the worst offense was the very Leni Riefenstahl-like display of athletic swimsuited bodies against a military-music background. The only thing worse than military music is a 1930's SOUNDTRACK of military music. It looked and sounded just like any Nazi propoganda film of Riefenstahl's, and that's what made it utterly disgusting and ultimately very boring. I couldn't wait for it to end. Even good-looking guys (who now would be old enough to be my grandpa!)in the shower and locker room scenes didn't save it for me, because it was presented as just uselessly silly, snickering smut. Get this set for the fabulous movies on the first two dvd's. Don't bother with the third dvd, unless you really, really like Murder At the Vanities despite hoplessly flat-singing Kitty Carlisle. Received Pre-Code Hollywood collection Friday 4/10/09. Watched The Cheat&Merrily We Go To Hell Friday night and Hot Saturday plus Torch Singer tonight. They are in excellent visual and audio condition and over 75 years old. Fascinating stories with excellent acting by all the female leads --Tallulah Bankhead, Sylvia Sidney, Claudette Colbert and Nancy Carroll. What gorgeous women! Lovely early 30s background music, nifty cars, fabulous clothes, great stories that move fast - - little more than an hour each. WHAT IS THERE NOT TO LIKE ABOUT THIS COLLECTION OF PRE-CODE MOVIES???? Kelly Universal delivers a package of pre-code goodies similar to Warner's on-going Forbidden Hollywood series. Of course WB has upped the ante with their latest Volume 3 by included Warner Night at the Movies style extras such as cartoons and shorts where previous entries only had short featurettes about the individual movies. Universal only includes one bonus feature about the production code era. However Universal also included an interesting printed reproduction of the production code itself in a little envelope. The set includes 6 movies on 3 dual layer DVDs. All are fascinating at the very least for their vintage. Can't wait to finish watching all of them, and hope Universal will follow through with future releases in this series, hopefully with titles that Universal actually produced and maybe dig around and throw in some Oswald cartoons and short subjects while they're at it. At last, Murder at the Vanities is being released. Highly Recommended! I was under the impression that this movie would make a lasting impression, nope, pretty tame and boring. The ideas are ancient, "changing one's life with the power of thought" I for one believe in positive thinking, but maybe that's why I found this film boring, there was nothing new in it for me. The video wastes too much time on low grade visual effects and not enough time just explaining it's teachings. There is an annoying 15 minute scene of dancing jelly people which was incredibly boring. The film presumes people are completely stupid by using cartoon-like characters to explain things. VERY slow paced in actual thought, Overloaded with time wasting poor visual effects. It's a DVD you will only watch once and forget about it. At the very least, this DVD set will provoke an emotional response and get you to think about it. It is doubtful you will be wishy washy. This is metaphysics meets cognitive behavioral therapy. It is science meeting spirituality. The theme is that quantum mechanics is relevant to your day to day life. You'll have to make up your own mind. Do you in essence create your reality by your thinking and expectations? Many honchos of the new age world and numerous scientists give you their take on this. My guess is that much was edited out to get you to think in the way the movie suggests you should. It may not be rocket science and it may not even be quantum physics, but it is interesting and worth taking a look. I saw this movie&was impressed at the way science&spirituality are meeting. Being a student of quantum (small particle) physics and if you watch carefully you will see that some scientists don't like to go there but have reached the point where science, mysticism&philosophy meet. If you are old school you will poo poo this, if you are willing to take a leap you might find new possibilities to become aware of. Consider that Todays Physics was yesterdays Meta-physics (Meta - meaning other than normal). I understand the unwillingness of some people (as evidenced by negative reviews) to take that jump, it can be disconcerting and scary to entertain the possibility that our old paradigms are shifting, many many new researchers are criticized initially&over time they become accepted i.e. Galileo, at least they aren,t killing the new thinkers today. I used to meditate A LOT&have experienced a full blown OUT OF BODY experience, have seen 3 AURAS very clearly&have seen what I would call a HOLOGRAM of a black panther head appear in front of me while scrying in a mirror. Also my wife has had two different completely unrelated people in different parts of our state both say out verbally&clearly the name Esmerelda as a female energy/guide or whatever name you want to call it that is around her. All these events were very clear/real and not fuzzy shmuzzy sort of experiences. Quantum physics does support/lend credence to the mechanics of these experiences i.e. entanglement, superposition, Copenhagen interpretation etc are related to consciousness. I was raised in a very scientific household&all I can say is that most people go by what they know until something of an aberration or mutation happens in ones experience to allow for new possibilities. People often say "how come I didn't have an experience?", and I say "You never even looked". to say it hasn't happened or doesn't exist doesn't mean it doesn't or won't. You are involved&have to participate, or not. Relating to the movie, I felt it was a good experience for those who want to open up to science meets spirituality. A funny note that sciences own investigations are showing that science is limited&just as much an institution as any. Bashing new ideas that threaten the old dominant paradigms is what people seem to need to do at first. Remember lots of those paradigms were bashed at one time to. First let me start by saying that I thought the movie was hilarious, it essentially allows guys to vent all the vile, asinine, and vulgar components of ourselves that we outgrow and repress in exchange for being a part of modern society, making it sort of cathartic in its own weird way. Now that being said the title and trailers are certainly billing this as a romantic comedy for everyone and it simply isn't. I picked this up at blockbuster with my friends and a few girls we knew and got to watch as a room full of people was gradually divided between the men, who progressively reverted to our college roots laughing at every cruel and immature slight, and the women, who thought the movie was tasteless (some of which even pleaded for it to be turned off). I couldn't even begin to imagine watching it with kids because of the language alone. Still if the nights plan is to watch a funny movie with some friends and hang out, or if you need something to thrown on before heading out one night this will certainly not disappoint. Ultimately I would suggest you rent it or get it on Pay Per View instead of buying it, it's just the kind of movie that you need to be able to defuse any blame for its presence and owning it won't help the market value of your DVD collection any. Cook is so obnoxious and crude, the girls go home and call the former boyfriends and make up with them because Cook makes them look good compared to him. His best friend hires him to take out his girl (Hudson) and hilarity ensues, but Cook finds she can hang with his crudeness, thus sparking his interest.I happen to think Dane Cook is hilarious. He and Kate Hudson had great chemistry. I watched this twice, back to back and loved it even more the second time because I caught more of the humor. Sure it's crude, but it comes with that warning. if you don't like crude and lewd skip this one. First off, I don't ususally watch this type of movie, but thought since Kate Hudson is in it and Alec Baldwin it might be a little funny and I was bored one Sunday and decided to waste some time. Well a waste of time was all it was! It was disgusting and even the story line was stupid. There are typically two types of people buying hot sauce - someone looking for an alternative to tobasco or supermarket shelf hot sauce, and someone looking for a high end flavored hot sauce. If you are in the first category, be very careful. This is not the sauce you want to buy to try something hotter than tobasco, cholula, or other garden variety hot sauces. Dave's (and a bunch of other retailers on here) have a wide variety of hot sauces which are much hotter than tobasco, et al, but not in the same league as this. The roasted garlic or scotch bonnet from Dave's are an alternative - spicy, but not like this. If you are undeterred from my above comment, then here: I like this sauce a lot. It is flavorful compared to other hot sauces in the same heat range (90000-250000 SU seems to be the range for this sauce). Using a cap or less in a pot of chili will make it hot enough that I'm sure the average person would have trouble handling it. You can use it a half-drop at a time as a flavor enhancer, and it will burn but still taste decent. I don't claim it tastes great, but it isn't like other super-high-end sauces. This sauce is approaching the top before you get into capsaicin extracts, though there are other, hotter products out there that are still considered sauces. To clarify, this has been tagged as an extract: it isn't. It contains extract, but it is a sauce, not a pepper extract. Good luck! Ok, I just tried this stuff today. Had a couple drops on a cracker...it burned for a while, but subsided. So, I decided to go for a spoonful. It definitely burned...probably for a good 15 minutes or so. It was plenty hot. I felt alright about it...my eyes got a little watery, and I did need a 8 oz glass of milk to wash it down, but it wasn't unbearable by my standards (my two friends, who also tried the spoonful, would differ on that point, though!) The only concern that one may have is that it definitely burns both ways, so keep that in mind. Don't try to use this stuff like Tobasco...just use a couple drops. I would highly recommend trying dipping a toothpick in it and tasting it first so you know your limits. If you're a real spicy food lover, Thai/Indian/Korean/Schezuan, then this is perfect for spicing up your American foods. It's all about matching sauces to foods and the flavor of this sauce perfectly compliments non-spicy staples such as pizza, burgers, and hot dogs. The successful Dead Or Alive fighting game franchise is known as much for the bouncing breasts of the female combatants as for it's innovative and consistently fun three dimensional gameplay. Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball is a spinoff game that entirely drops the fighting game elements in favor of focusing on DoA's other claim to fame. The game begins with you selecting one of the girls as your character. Each game is broken up into a two week vacation, and each day is divided into morning, daytime, and evening. You spend each segment of the day playing volleyball, gambling in the casino, shopping for swimsuits and accessories, lounging around the island, or trying to befriend the other girls on the island. I'm not sure it's fair to classify DoA:XBV as a volleyball game. Sure, you'll spend a bit of time playing volleyball, but the gameplay is so basic that there are literally only two buttons: one to pass to your teammate and another to send the ball to the opposing side of the net. It's probably more accurate to label DoA:XBV as an unusual "relationship" game, with volleyball just one of several ways to earn money to spend on gifts for girls. Each girl has a set of items that they like; the actual object of the game is to figure out what those items are, where to buy them, and how to present them to each girl. Well-wooed girls will partner up with you for volleyball matches, or allow themselves to be convinced to try on slinkier and more exotic swimwear. For example: if you want Kasumi to try on the barely-there "Venus" swimsuit, you're going to have to shower her with gifts of strawberries, balloons, and origami. What the game lacks in depth, volleyball gameplay, or features it makes up for in eye candy. The well-modeled, bouncy characters attract the most attention, but the island's beaches and jungles are also universally gorgeous--and most of the volleyball courts can be played at different times of the day. If nothing else, Xtreme Beach Volleyball is a great display of the raw graphical power of the Xbox. When considering whether or not you should purchase Dead Or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball it's important to remember what it is and what it is not. It is not a volleyball game. It is an incredibly pretty collection of small but moderately amusing mini-games played by buxom cartoon babes. Sex and the City needs drama to make it work, and Parker and Cynthia Nixon (as career woman Miranda), this ensemble's better half, give the show its pulsating heart as they wrestle with commitment and, in the episode "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," sadder-but-wiser breakups. On the lighter side, the sexual dalliances of "rude and politically incorrect" Samantha (Kim Cattrall) provide great fodder for comedy. Like I Love Lucy, the series benefited from a brief change of scenery with a three-episode jaunt to Los Angeles, where Carrie and company encountered, among others, Matthew McConaughey, Vince Vaughn, Hugh Hefner, and Sarah Michelle Gellar. At its best, to quote one character, Sex and the City is "sharp, edgy, brutal at times, always a little juicy." It may be "very New York," but the sex and relationship issues it tackles are universal. The answers, my friend, are in Neil Strauss's entertaining book The Game. Strauss was a self-described chick repellant--complete with large, bumpy nose, small, beady eyes, glasses, balding head, and, worst of all, painful shyness around women. He felt like "half a man." That is, until a book editor asked him to investigate the community of pickup artists. Strauss's life was transformed. He spent two years bedding some fine chiquitas and studying with some of the North America's most suave gents--including the best of them all, the God of the pickup "community," a man named Mystery. Mystery is an aspiring Toronto magician who charges $2,250 for a weekend pickup workshop. He is not much to look at: a cross between a vampire and a computer geek. But by using high-powered marketing techniques he's turned seduction into an effortless craft--even inventing his own vocabulary. His technique sounds like a car salesman's tip sheet: his main rule is FMAC--find, meet, attract, close. He employs the "three-second rule"--always approach a woman within three seconds of first seeing her in order to avoid getting shy. Other tricks: Intrigue a beautiful woman by pretending to be unaffected by her charm; also, never hit on a woman right away. Start with a disarming, innocent remark, like "Do you think magic spells work?" or "Oh my god, did you see those two girls fighting outside?" And finally, the most important characteristic of the pickup artist--smile. After two years, Strauss ends up becoming almost as successful as Mystery, but he comes to an important realization. His techniques were actually off-putting to the woman he ended up falling in love with. And they never prepared him for actually having a relationship. I bought this book for all the variety in it. Most items are simple, not terribly fitted pieces, but one bugs me: The Fitted Jacket. Even the 'large' is too small for me. It seems to me that this book, like so many patterns and such out there, is designed for the stick figures with no cleavage. I'm not a stick figure, and I very definitely have cleavage (I'm not vastly overweight, either). This book claims it's for seamstresses of all levels... but beginners would have it easy only if they already fit the 'stick figure' type, and don't have to drastically modify the pattern. The T-Tunic is awesome. I had to enlarge it as well, but that was easy enough. Some dresses I won't even bother making, as I won't be able to wear them. Strappy dresses and halters are great if you don't have to wear a bra, but the average woman does have to wear one, so we're out of luck.

More size options/modifications. A section on how to expand/shrink the patterns, when needed, would be awesome too. Still a good book, just needs a few more bits of information.
I do not know what some people are expecting from a book that gives you patterns from swim suits to evening wear. It is clearly for the experienced sewer: I have been sewing since I was 12 and it is 50 years later, I love this book.
All you have to do is take your own measurements and transfer them to the patterns and you have personalized patterns.
Besides if you had looked on the inside envelope it states that you have to cut the patterns on specific lines for small medium and large. I fall in the small to med range and most patterns are for less than 3 yards of material. Some items are not from a patterns but they show you how to cut the material to make that item. There are 25 garments and accessories in this book
None of these patterns are for FITTED patterns but for light and airy loose fitting garments, just what I like, especially for the summer months. You can make a nice halter or thin strap dress and make one of their cute tops as a nice cover up. You can make a hat and a purse to go with it, it is all in one package.
If you bought all these patterns indiviually it would cost alot more than the low price here.
I am looking forward to making my whole summer wardrobe, including the hat and the pocket books. I will cut some down to make little halter dresses for the poor children in my church.
If you have any knowledge of sewing and like to experiment with fabrics and patterns this is for you. You need an imagination to use this book if you do not have one, then pass this by. The only thing this book does not do is make the garment for you.
This is also the perfect book to enable you to use bed sheets that you have siting in the closet, I toss out the old bottom sheets and use the uppers to make lots of things.
This book has endless possibilities I would recommend it to a friend.
Some of the clothing patterns in the book are cute, like the halter top, but many of them are spring/summer patterns, and a lot of them seem to be for the slender model types, not curvier and/or larger types. Some of the patterns are of the "T-Tunic" type that you could do just as well making your own pattern for after taking your measurements, and why they weren't presented that way in the first place is a mystery.

And, not only is there no size info on the single size patterns provided, there are no instructions for adjusting the sizes if you want to, which makes one very reluctant to even go buy fabric to make any of these items.

The sewing instructions are unclear, and don't have enough pictures.

I would love to see this book re-published with more size options and better instructions. As it is, buy used or get your library to buy it.
I am an experienced sewist and bought this for the patterns. I returned it. The patterns are not sized-- nowhere in the book or on the pattern does it give finished garment or body size measurements. Also, the instructions for garments that require one to make a pattern are ONE SIZE only. When one is making garments, knowing size is a necessity!

In addition the size problem, the directions themselves don't work. They are out of order and leave steps out. Definitely not for someone who is inexperienced or a novice (or experienced and not interested in paying for directions that have to modified!)

Overall, I was extremely disappointed. As I said, I returned the book. I would not recommend it to others.
Great book of chic and easy projects that actually look great! The idea of a one piece pattern reminds me of Elizabeth Zimmerman's style of one piece knitting - all you need to do is sew the seams together to finish the garment. These projects are quick and easy and work well alone or with embellishments. Bottomline, this book is a base for creating an entire wardrobe, down to a purse! The book is spiral bound with an inside front cover pocket containing the patterns. Its made very sturdy and should take a beating on your sewing room/space table ( I have a preference for books built to withstand a fall from the height of an average sewing table). One wish for the author, in your next book, it would be great to see real life finished garment images instead of illustrated ones. Other than that, I love this book!

(Excellent tutorial guide)
I've got to improve a production assembly line and we are applying for the cellular manufacturing.
Since I hadn't have a knowledge for that, I purchased this book to learn how to apply and what to do.

The guidelines of how to apply was so helpful to me 'cause it was described step by step.
This is an excellent tutorial guide to"one-piece flow"concept. For that purpose it is excellent. In its quest for ideological purity, it fails to consider the more difficult (and useful) problem of"optimal lot size", typical real world manufacturing processes. Had the authors put in a short chapter on that issue, I would have given it five stars.
Introduces production teams to basic cellular manufacturing and teamwork concepts and orients them for participating in the design of a new production cell. Softcover.

this is a good practice suit, very comfortable but if you are built big on top this is not the suit for you, wears well after many many daily swims in the pool but, not by any means, is this a conservative style swim suit
The size chart is wrong. I had to exchange the swimsiut after the purchase. This cost me $12 extra dollars which makes the price of this swimsuit outragous! The swimsuit is tight but works well in the water.
I was unhappy with the suit because it did not provide any type of coverage for serious swimming. If you look at the picture, you'll notice that the model has a rather flat backside and a flat chest. I think if you are even slightly more endowed than the model, the suit will not provide adequate coverage for your top and backside.

I returned the suit, and was amazed with the customer service from Lane 4. I was credited with my refund less than 48 hours after putting the suit in the mail. I would definitely do business with them again, but I would review the item I was purchasing very carefully before I purchased it.
This is a great suit for real swimming. My girls are into synchronized swimming and this suit provides good coverage while allowing for all the movements. I do wish I'd read the reviews to order a size larger than what my daughter wears as it does run small.
I followed the recommendation to order a size larger than your actual size and my suit fit perfectly. The suit works well and for a great price.
Excellent low cost swimsuit. Compare to Speedo or TYR @ $50 or more. Made of Lycra/Nylon blend.

I love this wetsuit! It has a great look to it and performs well in the water. I tend to hit the water a little early when its still really cold but this wetsuit definitely kept me warm. Super flexible, don't feel I have any limitations wearing it.
This is one of the best purchases I have ever made. For years I have been putting up with a cold lap pool (allegedly "heated" but only minimally so), often skipping my swim because I didn't want the discomfort of that initial cold shock, particularly around the, uh, waist. Now, I can swim whenever I like in perfect comfort, regardless of the pool temperature. And this thing fits like a glove. A remarkable product at a low price. Couldn't be more satisfied.
No complaints with this wet suit after several dives: comfortable, well-designed, and not unattractive. A great deal at less than $60.

I bought a youth 8 size for my 7 year old boy and we just returned from almost 2 weeks in Mexico where this got near constant use. The boy is as skinny as a rail and while a strong swimmer had to bow out of an ocean snorkle trip last year after 45 minutes because he got too cold - so we figured that getting him a wet suit would help him last longer in the pool and in the ocean. The Aqua Sphere Stingray kids shorty wetsuit is well made, with nice lycra stretch panels at legs and shoulders and neck and a good neoprene wetsuit torso. There's a big beefy zipper and a velcro zipper lock at the top. None of the stitching or construction showed any sign of weakness in the first couple of weeks of use and it certainly did help the boy stay warm in the ocean and the pool. It also helped with solar cover up. When he wore the suit it protected all his body except limbs and face from sun burn.

There were only 2 downsides:
1) Leg opening cuffs too tight. I pulled and stretched them out as much as I dared and that helped - but there were still a bit tight. This is suprising because the boy is skinny as a rail and I bought one size up and it fits him otherwise. I'm considering cutting a notch and then doing my own reinforcement stitching (if I can find the requisite stretch lycra thread.
2) The neoprene grips on waterslides so he had to take it off when using waterslides - which definitely put in crimp in the usefulness on waterslide days.

All in all well recommended for kids for a wide range of circumstances. Consider going one to two sizes up to account for the tight legs.
My son was very comfortable during swim class in this and it kept him warm!!! No blue lips!
