Reasons to Quit Facebook
Pokes
Pokes are the original Facebook annoyance; they've been a part of the site since the earliest days. While its name might suggest something a little more inappropriate, a poke is like saying 'hi' without all of the pleasantries -- a way to communicate without actually having to say anything. The first time we were poked, we weren't sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing. "We don't like being poked in real life," we thought to ourselves, "so why is that person we barely know extending their virtual finger in order to jab us from across the Web?" Conveniently, all Facebook needs to do to take the weirdness out of pokes is simply change the name. Dating site OkCupid has the same feature, except it's called 'woo.' We'd so much rather be 'woo'd' than 'poked,' don't you agree? Our name suggestion? How about something a little softer, like 'nudge?'

Oh please, a poke is just someones way of kinda tapping you on the shoulder. Leaving it up to you to contact them if you have something to chat about. Otherwise they are saying "hey was thinking about you but didn't want to fill your wall with meaningless babble, just to say Hi."
Really you can't have your cake and eat it too, you complain that your page gets filled up so much but then you complain when someone tries to keep it to a minimum for you. Maybe your just a social butterfly that doesn't like people. You want to be around them but don't want them to acknowledge you. If you don't like it quit and start your own, you obviously seem to know more than all the other options out there

Facebook it's not what it seems to be
there are alot of reasons why I quit it because it slow your laptop/desktop. then when you want to post a comment it will not take. I will never go back on face book and it's hard to try to figure out.

Ok yes poke is a weird name but at the school i go to people poke each other all the time and give people "jumper cables" which are when you jab people in the sides. Friends don't care when you do that because they do back to you. Obviously you need to get out of the stone age and learn how teenagers act. and yes Most people on facebook that I know about is teenagers to 21 year olds
