Reasons to Quit Facebook
Chain-letter-style apps
Facebook apps can be a huge nuisance -- clogging up newsfeeds and spreading lame zombie/pirate fights -- but only the worst apps resort to chain-letter tactics in the interest of spreading (like that "25 things about me" letter/app that went around a couple of months ago). We thought that the Internet had matured enough to let chain letters finally die, but, apparently, even cutting-edge Web 2.0 users are susceptible to the offer: "get 5 friends to join this app and get a free makeover." Remember, just because we are your Facebook friends doesn't mean that we want to join in on every activity-filled app that you decide to test drive. So don't bother sending it to us. And if we find out that you only included us so that you could get the results to some lame quiz, that might just be grounds for a de-friending.
