民主党は怖い団体だらけで文句言ってくるんじゃないでしょうか？(ここは憶測です)

Strauss-Kahn, on a trip to Rome to attend a meeting of ministers from the Group of Seven (G-7) advanced economies, said the IMF was deeply grateful for the Japanese government's support [see video reaction].

確かにその文には『歴史上最大』と言う表現はないですね。
ただし、この文にもboldで『Japan has provided the IMF with an additional $100 billion to bolster the Fund's lendable resources during the current global economic and financial crisis.』とあったり[see video reaction]のVido内でも、日本政府の拠出の重要性が取り上げられていて、評価はされていると思います。
その評価自体を取り上げない事が問題では無いかと思います。

後、IMF公式の別の記事にStrauss Kahn氏ののコメントが掲載されているのはご覧になられたでしょうか？

私は今の多くのマスコミはネガキャンをばかりを行なっていいる様に感じます。
民主党も「マルチ疑惑」「韓国人秘書」や「在日韓国人の地方参政権」、等　色々叩かれても良い様な事を言ってますが野党だから叩かれないのでしょう。

後はスキャンダルの方が数字が取れる(資本主義的には正しい)と言う事であれば、
今のメディアの受けてである日本国民自体の問題であると思います。

私個人としては、"左寄りな報道"は許容するのに"右的な報道"はカットしてしまうのでは、報道機関としての"公正性"を欠くのではないかと想い、その部分を非常に懸念しています。
なぜなら既存のマスメディアは情報の流れが一方通行であるが故に、そこに何らかの情報操作等の意図が含まれていたとしても、情報の受け手に取っては流される情報が全てとなってしまう為です。
