    Uncategorized Cancer Symptoms:

  • Absolutly NONE

    Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia Symptoms:

  • Anemia, enlarged/distended spleen, low white count, weight loss, fatigue, constant bloody noses, occasional blood-vessel bursting rashes (especially along left/spleen side of torso and feet.
  • Bruising, weakness, bone pain.
  • high fever for months. pail skin, red rash on face and body, leg and back bone pain, tired, mood swings,
  • I had spots that looked like bruises on my skin and my left sinus was completely clogged. I had none of the traditional symptoms of leukemia.
  • Runny nose and a high grade fever for about 10 days prior to first white cell count.

    Acute Myeloid Leukemia Symptoms:

  • Fatique, respiratory systems, fever and night sweats.
  • For 3 weeks I was told the bloody noses were due to the lack of humididty in our home and the leg pain and fever were due to flu. Finally, knowing that my child , although a great actor couldnt possibly be holding onto this just for some attention. Saturday February 16th, 2008 I took her to her regualr pediatrician'S office.
  • Mike's lymph nodes in his neck were swollen and doctors thought at first it was something else. But, after a couple of months, Mike knew something wasn't right. So, a surgeon removed one of the lymph nodes and came out of surgery and told me he was 99% sure Mike had some type of cancer. Later, it was discovered that he had cancerous lymph nodes not only in his neck but 2 other places on his body. The doctors at Vanderderbilt then determined it was AML.
  • None really. Just some bruising and I was tired a lot.

    Anal Cancer Symptoms:

  • Blood in stool, itching at anus
  • I had rectal bleeding for 2 months and was told by a doctor it was hemmorhoids but that if it didn't stop in a month, to get a colonoscopy. She was a great doctor. Saved me because there is no spreading to any lymph nodes
  • Janury 3, 2005 - discovered an anal fissure while on vacation; went to clinic and was advised to put PrepH on it and check back with my doctor if it did not help. Fissure would not heal since that time and finally a biopsy was performed in 2009.
  • Lower back pain Vaginal pressure Low energy
  • Rectal bleeding, pressure, bloating and changes in bowel habits.

    Bladder Cancer Symptoms:

  • I began passing blood in my urine. That'll scare the daylights outta ya.

    Bones and Joints Cancer Symptoms:

  • Aches in the knee and swelling
  • Back pain
  • I had pain in my hip during my second sons pregnancy, it never went away and by the time I had time to think about myself I was pregnant again. I lost this one 14 weeks in. My doctor the whole time was telling me my son caused my sacrum to turn he could feel it no x rays nessasary! I believed him until finally I wanted to die so bad. But my babies who would love then as much as I do! I made it to a different clinic begged and cried to a PA. Of course he said. I laid on the xray table when I heard him swear and call me in. Half my hip was gone. A tumor the size of a football took its place. The tumor was what my doctor was feeling not my sacrum. Thats when my whirl wind began.
  • Mass on the palm of my right hand with slight pain. It is actually a tumor of the soft tissue.

    Brain Cancer Symptoms:

  • Severe Headache, personality, vision, coordination changes
  • grand mal seizure
  • headache, blurring vision, fatigue
  • headaches, short term memories, long term memories, hand-eye coordination, seizures.... that all I can thank of but I do have memory problems. HAHAHA
  • Headaches, suddenly forgetting where they are, simple math calculations are hard, dragging of the left foot and inability to turn to the left
  • i had a migraine one morning and i went to the hospital. they were gonna send me home and i was consistent with them because this headache was the worst pain i have ever had in my life. and they found a brain tumor. i was very lucky that i only had a headache when they found it. many people would of had a seizure, vomiting, and more symptoms.
  • loss of word finding, flat affect, fatigue
  • Progressive neurological failure of fine motor coordination in left hand. Headaches. Dizzyness. Slurred speech.

    Breast Cancer Symptoms:

  • I really had no symptoms that I noticed. I accidentally found the first lump in 1994 myself. The second one in 2005 was detected during my annual mammogram. I would never have found this one because it was in the center of the breast at the back wall.

  • A large mass in right breast found during self-exam. Swelling, itching, and pain in breast. The mass continued to grow, and right breast become enlarged to almost double the size in two-month period. CT Scan later found out that the mass was about 5cm x 4cm x 2cm. I was finally diagonsed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer.
  • Aching and hardening in my breast. I can see the tumor growing and pushing my breast aside.
  • annual mammogram~at age 40 (1st) found! Not until next mammogram at age 43 detected though I'd had physical exams annually!
  • Bloody nipple discharge from one breast only. Tenderness with (initially) no palpable or detectable (except by MRI) tumor.
  • Cancer did Not Show up on Mammagram for five years. I found the mass in September after using my arms a lot to pick up my AVA BABY Granddaughter. Thought I had a new muscle. Went to the Dr. anyway. It was Cancer.
  • Feeling sometimes bitchy I put that down to arimidex. I hate the revisiting of menopause, night sweats, etc. Sometimes I just feel tired and can't keep up. UPDATE AUG/08. Not as tired anymore, but the rest is the same.

  • Had intraductal papillomas removed from right breast...suffering from 2 more surgeries due to staph infection in less than 2 weeks of the first surgery. I feel due to this surgery & the staph that this breast was weakened. Three years later I notice a terrible hard lump on the incision site. Nothing else until CT scan was done. Nothing felt during breast exam by my OB/GYN or myself other than the hard lump. Nothing showed up on mammo or magnified mammo. Tumors visible on ultrasound. Left breast was full of them & the largest one was growing straight back from the nipple area towards the back of my body (doctor stated it was "in hiding.")
  • I discovered a small lump on my right breast one night lying on the sofa watching Tv.
  • I felt a lump about the size of a grape on my right breast. Just after I had my baby of 8 months old.

  • The only symptom I have had is what has shown up on the mammograms. The only other possible symptom is fatigue. I have always been a person who tires easy ... but that is such a gradual thing that I don't know that I really noticed it.

  • Visited GP with underarm symptoms, pain itching and discomfort. All symptoms were dismissed as trivial I was told to take a pain killer if the pain kept me awake at night! Luckily I was called for a routine mammograph in August 08 and that's when the fun began
  • When I did a self breast exam I felt a lump and pain in my left breast and I know at that very moment something is wrong so I decided to go to the hospital and see the doctor.
  • While removing my clothes for bed I looked into the mirror and was shocked to notice that one side of my breast was larger than the other, fell to the inside, and felt like it had something in it. It made me think of the patients who came in with breast implants, since that’s what it felt like. A few months earlier I had noticed several times that my breasts seemed to be hot to the touch and I wondered if I had an infection.

    Cancer of the Esophagus Symptoms:

  • Difficult swallowing and am on liquid diet. No real pain as yet.
  • Throwing up blood. Diagnosed in Emergency Room last Spring (07)

    Cervical Cancer Symptoms:

  • Bleeding and constant discharge. cramping pain in pelvic area with discomfort down the front of left thigh
  • hemmoraging and passing blood clots. She also told us that she wasn't feeling well in general for a couple months before diagnosis...she thought it was stress due to just graduating and trying to find her dream job right away. PAIN with a capital P. Aimee was in pain daily and no matter the perscription cocktail, the Big C found a way to make it hurt everyday.
  • I didn't ever have any symptoms. It was found during my physical with my doctor.
  • I had spotting at first, which I ignored, until bleeding was heavier, especially during sex, I also started gaining weight..when I was always little. I always thought you lose weight when sick, the weight didnt start falling off until chemo came into the picture
  • I started having symptoms in Feb. 08'. I had severe vaginal bleeding. I filled a plastic cup up with smal blood clots in a matter of 30 minutes. I would wake up soaked in blood. I was taken to the ER multiple times and bled blood clots the size of golf balls. This continued through my diagnosis in June. I had 3 different doctors tell me that it was just low estrogen and progesterone and put me on birth control. I also had severe pelvic pain
  • My left leg swelled to twice the size of my right. My periods had been irregular but I thought it was menapause.

    Chronic Myeloid Leukemia Symptoms:

  • Fatigue, bone pain, hemmorage, nausea, diahrrea.
  • I am tired, my bones hurt and I feel sick often

    Colon and Rectal Cancer Symptoms:

  • 1)Suddenly feel acute constipation. 2)Narrowing the stool like rectangle (Tape) shape. 3)Smell in Stool & Fart like Putrid Sewer 4)Some time slightly blood found in the stool. 5)Feel sensation that bowl is not empty after going the toilet. 6)Mucus, Pus type, something like onion skin / net found in the stool. 7)Pain in Piles & Anus 8)Continuous feeling that I need to have bowl which does not resolve after passing stool. 9)Heaviness in abdomen. 10)Weakness, Fatigue & Tenderness 11)Loss of weight from 75 kgs to 60 kgs in 2 months 12)Feeling dryness in throat needs drinking water at all times. 13)Slightly pain in back. 14)Loss of appetite. 15)Too many embezzles in the day.
  • abdominal bloating and constipation with some loose stool. PAIN. I was told that I had irritable bowel syndrom for 10 years even by a GI specialist. no test ever done. 2 years before my diagnosis I was in the emergency room for pain and had a ct scan. I was told that nothing was wrong. After I was diagnosed I got a copy of my ER ct scan that showed my bowels were dilated and liver masses
  • animic--I also have lupus and this was found on a routine blood test. I had no other symtoms. Had I got a colonoscopy one year earlier at age 50, I probably would not have got cancer. Please have a colonoscopy at least by age 50! Earlier if there is a family history or if you have symtoms.
  • Bad abdominal pain, 4 weeks before he had relief.. They thought it was a gallbladder attack that lasted too long He turned yellow, ER Dr. thought it was hepatitis, turned out every Lymph node full of cancer, had to have a biliary drain placed through the left side of abdominal cavity through the liver to reduce the bile that had overtaken the body.
  • Bart had indegestion. Brian & Bruce had none.
  • Blood in stool (in previous years) Irregular movements, nausea, and loss of appetite (all not present until 3 months prior to diagnosis)

  • Bloody Stool, Constipation, Thin Stool Gas and Bloating, Unexplained Weight Loss and the most painful of all was the Nausea and Vomiting.
  • Bowel blockage, made my husbadn violently ill. Went to the ER and they sent him home the first time with suppositories to help end the blockage. Next time to the ER they did exploratory surgery and found the tumor. And so the rest of our ride follows.

  • I did not have any symtoms unti;l the tumor perforated the colon wall, as it had gotten to big
  • I had fatigue for several months. Last month before diagnosis I had loss of appetite, stomach pain, and change in bowel movements.
  • I had pain in my left side for several months. After trying medication for stomach problems and having an upper endoscopy, my doctor decided to order a ct scan just to check. Turns out there was nothing on the left side, but there was a mass on my right side near my colon. Totally unexpected since that wasn't even where my pain was.

  • Intense stomach pain, nausea & vomiting.
  • Multiple flushes of bloody stool, spontaneous initiation & resolution, over four hours in mid-December 2004. Analyzed by a PA to probably be a manifestation of diverticulitis shown on sigmoidoscopy 2 yrs before. Six weeks later further flushings resulted in ER admission to Holy Cross Hospital January 31, 2005.

Also had reoccurent urinary tract infections in the 1.5 prior to diagnosis

  • Sept. 05 I began having what felt like menstral cramping after my period. Timing was off, the cramps would come and go. After years of being told I had IBS, after 3 pregnancies, I had a colonoscopy in 11/07 & was told that day I had a malignant tumor. The troublesome part is that the Dr's could have caught this 2 years ago. I was even in the ER in 10/06 complaining of severe abdominal pain & was sent home. They thought it was food poisoning & pregnancy. For a whole year I suffered with 'blockage' symptoms (vomiting & pain).
  • Stomach pain

    Endometrial / Uterine Cancer Symptoms:

  • Constant back pain, tired, irregular bleeding, abdominal pain, heavy menstrual cycles.
  • Mom is tired and hungry.
  • Unexpected vaginal bleeding, 10 yrs. post-menopause
  • were really none , during invitro process before they transfer they look around,, saw polyps and the one dr came back and said "yu wont be having twins, yo have cancer and we need to worry about saving your life"

    Eye and Orbit Cancer Symptoms:

  • Blurred Vision slight headache
  • Straight lines look wavy, flashing lights, floaters.

    Gastrointestinal Carcinoid Tumors Symptoms:

  • abdominal pain fatigue
  • pain in side, fatigue, shortness of breath, weight loss
  • swelling being very tired sometimes pain in bones sometimes no symptons that you associate with cancer silent ones

    Hodgkin Lymphoma Symptoms:

  • enlarged lymph nodes on neck,
  • I first noticed a lump on the left side of my neck and pursued it, finally having a different lymph node removed and classified as cancerous.
  • I found a lump in my groin when I was 19 years old. It was diagnosed as a hernia. 8 months later I had surgery and the surgeon said "that's not a hernia."

  • Most notably, I was itching horribly, and I lost 25 lbs. Also, I couldn't sleep and had vivid nightmares and night sweats when I did. I had a lumpy neck, fatigue, a cough that lasted for months, and finally, my left lung had collapsed (which lead to the diagnosis).

    Kidney Cancer Symptoms:

  • Blood in urine, pain, spasms
  • fatigue, difficulty breathing, loss of hair, bleeding in my mouth
  • Frequent fevers, right-sided upper abdominal pain, right flank pain, fatigue, and microscopic hematuria.
  • I had no symptoms whatsoever. I was having gall bladder issues when my Dr decided to do an ultrasound, it was found completely by accident. I may add my maternal grandfather and my mother both died of cancer of the colon, my husband has had testicular cancer. And my younger sister was just diagnosed with liver cancer she developed as a result of PSC.
  • Just get tired does unbidden tears count as a symptom
  • My husband has lost 45 pounds in about 2 months. The tumors in his liver are consuming all the calories he takes in. He is extremely fatigued and often is nasuated.
  • Shortness of breath.....seriously that was it!

    Liver and Intrahepatic Bile Duct Symptoms:

  • MADDY STOMACH WAS HARD AND EVENTUALLY WE WERE ABLE TO FEEL A BUMP
  • Swollen belly, feels hard Vomiting Pain

    Lung and Bronchus Cancer Symptoms:

  • 9 yrs ago, voice loss,fatigue,thirst,stomach pain, ear pain,low grade fever. Jan/08-shoulder pain,fatigue.Low grade fever.
  • At first just cancer of the right lung.
  • back pain
  • Hard to swallow,low fevers
  • I had no initial symptoms except for chronic coughing.
  • I had suffered from right side pain in my rib area when I coughed or sneezed for about 3 years until my cancer was finally diagnosed. We looked at EVERYTHING else, but no one would have thought I could have lung cancer.
  • My boyfriend thought his shoulder pain was due to pulling some muscles. After a couple of months of it getting worse...he thought ...oh my Lord...I bet I have a torn rotor-cuff. We only wish it was so... He went from those thoughts to the doctors finding a tumor on shoulder..(no problem, odds are that it is benign)...to hearing lung cancer with metastisis to shoulder and large bones... and 12-18 months??? I started logging this "journey" from MY perspective. The thoughts, feeling and poetry from someone who loves someone...who has cancer.

  • None! Cancer was found while investigating for a gall stone surgery, by xray, CT scan and MRI

  • Pain. The metastasis is skull, spine, ribs, liver, lung and lymph nodes in chest and pelvis, liver, pelvis, hip. Half of my tongue is paralyzed due to c-spine involvement so talking, chewing, swallowing are difficult.

  • There isnt any symptoms with this type of cancer. Its a soft tissue it moves with the body.

    Melanomas of the Skin Symptoms:

  • Assymetry of Mole on Back
  • bad skin
  • Mole, grew fast, had it removed.
  • mosquito looking bump that appeared out of nowhere and then a black dot appeared in the corner 4 months later
  • Really did not have any - went to see dermatologist for something completely different and was told he did not like a mole I had - biopsy done - call came in - went back for full removal of mole and surrounding area - very very lucky . . .

    Multiple Myeloma Symptoms:

  • fatigue, aching joints

    Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma Symptoms:

  • A small swollen gland under my chin, ear infection, and sinus infection.
  • Almost nil except a feeling of wind trapped under my ribs from time to time.
  • Blood in urine.
  • coughing, low grade fever, couldn't breathe while laying down
  • distinsion of the stomach, swelling of the feet.
  • Enlarged lymph nodes, Tired, depression, some pain, hair loss, neuropathy, blisters from the doxil, memory loss, sleeplessness, my blood sugar is on the whack other than that I'm GREAT!
  • Fatigue,Shortness Of Breath Itchy Skin and Enlarged Lymph Node In Groin
  • Feeling pain in abdomin and imagining all those tumors growing
  • Fever, night sweats, weight loss, lump in left parotid gland

  • Initially, trouble swallowing and pain just below the ribcage ... gradually getting worse.

  • Sores in my mouth that would not heal. I told my GP Dr three years ago I thought I have cancer and he laughed at me. Said it was hepries or gingivitus. I took his dumb treatments until my teeth strted moving around in my mouth and turn black. Went to a dentist who I owe so much money to now but he sent me to my ENT. Biopsy came back possitive

    Ovarian Cancer Symptoms:

  • Abdominal pain, bloating.
  • All of those "whispers" that OVCA is noted for...digestive problems, bloating, upset stomach, FATIGUE, and a radiating shoulder pain (that was a tumor on my diaphgram muscle).
  • all the normal symptoms bloated nausea I even thought it was gall bladder or an ulcer after an inital ultrasound it was diagnosed fast
  • As they say "It" whispers...OVCA's symptoms are so vague and can be attributed to so many other mundane things that most women are not diagnosed until late in the game.

  • I had no symptons. Just took a pregnancy test out of the blue that came out positive. This was because the tumor elevated my HCG level. So instead of rejoicing for pregnancy I am now crying with cancer.

    Pancreas Cancer Symptoms:

  • Pain in my side...thought is was post-surgery complication. But it wasn't.

    Prostate Cancer Symptoms:

  • None

    Stomach Cancer Symptoms:

  • extreme stomach pain
  • Flu like In February, back pain. Most symptoms are now from chemo treatments.

    Testicular Cancer Symptoms:

  • After Hurricane Wilma, we had no a/c and in the heat and adjusting myself I felt a small lump/ridge on my left testicle. I ended up waiting 7 months before I went to the physician.
  • just the markers in my blood and a small lump on my left testicle.
  • Pain and discomfort
  • Pain, swelling, left side only
  • Testicular swelling, intense lower back pain.

    Thyroid Cancer Symptoms:

  • Large noticable lump on right side of neck
  • Lump on neck
  • None - was having neck/back pain. MRI showed an enlarged thyroid. Been taking thyroid supplements for 20 years for hypothyroidism.
  • Sudden appearance of large lump in my neck is what started it all.
  • Swollen glands tired all the time and chronic ear infections
  • Thyroid nodule, increasing in size over a year period - from the size of a pea to larger than a golf ball.

    Tonsil Cancer Symptoms:

  • a lump on my right side of neck...no pain only mild pain in throat area from post outpatient surgery when they did exploratory biposy surgery and took pieces of tissue out
  • ear ache, sore throat.
  • I had noticed a lump on the right side of my neck but neglected to se my doctor. The only reason i did was to get a recently reclassified allergy prescription filled. She noticed the lump and the bells and whistles went off! That day i was at the hospital for tests.

  • Not many. I had a sore throat from a cold on New Year's Day. I did notice difficulty swallowing about 2 months ago. The CT scan showed a level III (6mm x 3mm) lymph node. I have bad allergies in the Spring and Fall that usually make my lymph nodes & glands sore. This season I've noticed pain and a severe ache in the back of my head and behind my ears.

  • Swollen lymph node on the right side of my neck.
  • swollen lymph node on the right side on neck. that's it!

    Ureter Cancer Symptoms:

  • Initial symptom Uterine Bleeding in 2007. Recurrance in July 2008, Abdominal Pain.

    Urinary Bladder Cancer Symptoms:

  • None really. Just had to pee a lot and often but it was never painful just annoying.
