(March 30) -- When Al Chapman came home to find two of his company's trucks had been broken into, he called his wife -- and she turned to Facebook.
Chapman, who lives in a Brunswick, Ga., community called Lexington Place, owns a moving company. Someone had smashed the windows in the two trucks and stolen his radar detector, GPS and XM radio, he told WTLV.

As police began their investigation, his wife, Mary, logged in to Facebook and told her friends.
"When my wife passed it along to her friend, she passed it to her friend who lives in the neighborhood. She Facedbooked it back to my wife," said Al Chapman.
As the news quickly spread on the social networking site, one neighbor wrote back and said she saw the suspect and knew the 18-year-old lived just down the street, WTLV reported. So the Chapmans called the police.
"The officer was on top of her job, but Facebook went straight to the crime and got our criminal," said Al Chapman, who admitted he didn't even like the site until now.
"Don't mess with the Lexington Place housewives," said his wife.

Instead of just throwing our luggage out there for the general public's access, why not enclose the carousel and require those approaching it to show a flight ticket stub indicating that they have a right to be there to pick up their luggage? DUH! Airport security, like military intelligence, has become an oxymoron.

Of course if the lady didn't have her face buried in her computer ego-cast, she might have actually spoken to the neighbor who saw the suspect right away instead of some time later. Rather than credit facebook, I credit the electrons used to transmit the data, and a little common sense by the local police. ...this is a facebook ad posing as a very weak user application story.

Hillary - the ACLU does not insist it is ok for children to download Porno. In fact, the ACLU actively supports the laws restricting Porno from children. However they do support your (adults) Constitutional rights to view and download porno. You really need to research the subject before you stick both of your feet in your mouth - though I support your Constitutional right to be an idiot.
