Did you consider that maybe they already did search? It's not exactly a common question that would return thousands of results.

It's hardly as simple as that page would make it out to be. It says to cut and paste the folder, but the folder will not be moved
since files in there (especially index.dat files) are in use while Windows is running, so you cannot move the folder (at least not
without losing data).

If simply moving the folder does not work (and it probably won't), then boot into safe mode and try it again (that page neglects to
mention this part). If that still doesn't work (although it should), then you can manually change the setting. Create a text file
and paste this into it:

REGEDIT4
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders]
"History"="D:\\History"

Save it somewhere (eg the Desktop) as "MoveHistoryFolder.reg" then double-click it and say Yes to merge. Now open C:\Documents and
Settings\%username%, and COPY the History folder to D:\. Reboot and you should now have what you want (don't forget to delete the
original History folder from CSmile.

What do you mean you couldn't find the key? Just create the REG file and merge it, then reboot. Alternately, if you would rather
use Regedit, then go to the key (it has to be there), then create a string or expandable string named "History" (although it should
already be there), and set (or change) it's value to D:\History.

Actually, along with [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders], there's also
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders] which should have a History value as well. I
don't remember off the top of my head which one is the correct one to set (the other one will automatically take on the value of the
good one), so just set both.

TweakUI allows you to change the locations of various special folders but unfortunately the IE history is not one of them. Sad
